From the first moment we stepped into the office we cringed, but stayed… because we had an appointment after all! The waiting room table was covered a foot deep in magazines. We both thought, wow, that’s a lot of magazines! We were taken to an exam room,(this appointment was for my husbands routine colonoscopy) and there we waited for the doctor. He was in the next room over, talking to another patient. I don’t mind waiting, but both room’s doors were wide open, we could hear every word! Isn’t this against HIPA or something? Anyway, it got to be our turn and Dr. Kushlan took us into his office where he spent almost two hours talking to my husband about his issues(of which he has none… this was a routine exam!) Doc decided that in addition to the colonoscopy, that hubby should also have an endoscopy! And this procedure couldn’t be done at the same time as the colonscopy, so 2 appointments for the Endoscopy Center were ordered! We finally got out of there more than 2 hours after we arrived. We went home and cancelled the Endoscopy appointment, kept the colonoscopy appt. At that appointment, doc tells hubby that he could do the endoscopy that day too if he wants!(Oh, now it can be done at the same time?) We declined. Dr. Kushlan may be a fine doctor, but his time management skills are terrible, and I felt that he was pushing services that were not necessary. We also had to ask twice for the Endoscopy Center to send us our $ 600 refund. This was not a good experience, we will go elsewhere for his next routine exam!

I was having some major stomach issues for most of my life. I went to Dr. Kushlan and I have to say he is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors. He spent a very long time investigating my issues and found me a solution. I’ve never felt better in my life. He changed my life when other doctors just blew me off and told me to take tums. I would recommend him highly.
