I was referred by another optometrist to see Dr. Lan Nguyen for glaucoma evaluation. She is very professional and ethical. she examined my eyes and indicated that I do not have narrow angle and therefore, do not need laser. She is very efficient and answer all my questions eventhough she is very busy and there a lot of patients were waiting for her. I will highly recommend her to my family and friends.

what a HORRIBLE experience… The doctor is terribly rude, she didn’t explain anything, she didn’t even listen and acknowledge anything I was saying. She could care less about my complains and concerns. I waited an hour and a half, and I saw her for literally only 6 minutes!(I actually counted the clock) I’ve been having excruciating eye pain for a while, and I was hoping that the doctor would explain to me what’s wrong and give me advice and listen to my concerns. But I’ve seriously never met such a rude doctor in my life. She just wanted to rush me out of that room as quickly as possible. Avoid her if possible

It is my first time writing review on Unilocal. That’s because I just went to see this horrible doctor. She was rush everything, putting something into my eyes without telling me what it was but it was very sticky. Then, she asked her assistant to dilate my eyes without telling me what would be caused afterward. Now I’m sitting in my car, could not open my eyes completely. I went back to the doctor office, receptionist said because it caused by dilating my eyes, it will take at least 2 – 3 hours to get better. I could not drive back home, sit in my car, wait for my eyes to be opened clearly. Btw, Dr. Lan didn’t even explain anything about my symptom and how to treat it. Just gave me prescription and told me to get it from phamarcy. I don’t even know what that medicine for. She is the worse doctor I’ve seen in my life. Please be aware of seeing her.

the doctor performed my chalazion surgery less than two days ago. she did a really good job, even though it was the most anxiety riddled experience ever. it reminded me of A Clockwork Orange when Alex DeLange had his eyes forced open to watch movies. she performed the surgery very quickly and the cosmetic result was excellent. i don’t have insurance so i had to pay out of pocket, the consultation was $ 150 in cash(her staff were extremely prompt in collecting the money before providing any service) and another $ 200 for the surgery. something that stood out to me the most was that she gave me samples of the medicine i’m putting in my eye so i wouldn’t have to go to the pharmacy and pay for it out of pocket again. as for the surgery, it was very uncomfortable, it wasn’t painful, but it was really rough. she gave me clear verbal after care instructions and she was very professional. the office was really nice and clean and her male nurse was very kind too. it was worth getting this procedure done here cos they did it the same day. the medi-cal system is so awful and slow, i had been waiting more than a month for an appt. and i couldn’t stand it anymore and they rejected me for insurance so i would have had to pay out of pocket anyways. i’m so glad we were referred to this doctor, i’m so happy to have my «pet chalazion» gone.

This Dr is the worst Dr I’ve heard of. My mom has her eye surgery by Dr. Lan Nguyen. The surgery was scheduled in two months, and no one had ever called to follow up or give her a reminder before the surgery. They even gave my mom the wrong address of the place where the surgery took place. She did not completely finish what she agreed with my mom before the surgery. She never explained why she changed the treatment plan nor asked for my mom’s decision. Now my mom is experiencing a bad headache due to her vision and she requested the medical record being sent to her family doctor and Dr. Lan Nguyen refused to release it. That is very wrong.

The doctor is efficient and helpful. She went beyond her duties and referred client to services which otherwise they cannot afford. My only question is why her staff does not allow clients to use their restroom and refer them to another building.
