Mr. Lei is an incredible teacher. When I first started taking classes with him, I was in sixth grade and only able to sketch basic shapes and use colored pencils, but within a year I was able to oil paint everything from fruits, buildings, kitchen scenes and landscape. I can now paint with a great variety of colors and I have continued to improve my skills in every class. Classes are weekly and two hours long each time.
He does not directly criticize but he can always immediately see what is wrong with my technique or painting and he will suggest how to fix it. He is very knowledgeable and I have seen all the other students progress very quickly as well.
