First time enlisting the help of a locksmith today to get into my locked bedroom. Didn’t know what to expect, but was glad that I was referred to Dan at Lock & Security Systems! He responded to my voicemail very promptly.
He was very personable, professional, and knew what he was doing. Additionally, it was a plus that he was nearby and available even on a Saturday afternoon.
He got the job done in less than half an hour, and my dog even liked him (usually a mean pup).

Even though there was a technical glitch in getting my address to him for the appt I had thought I scheduled on Friday, Dan was still able to get to my place that afternoon to not only re-​key the locks to my front door but also add a deadbolt to my other door and re-​key those locks so that I now only have one key for all of the locks. He also added some extras to the re-​keyed locks to make it harder for a thief to attempt to pick them open…
He also gave me some security recommendations for the rest of my house which I’ll be putting in place soon…

Very pleasant experience with Dan. My tenant called and told me she couldn’t get in the front door (key not working) and she was stuck outside with her baby on July 3 in 90 degree heat. Dan got to the house in 30 minutes, drilled out the defective deadbolt and replaced it with a new one. Highly recommend.

I write very few Unilocal reviews and when I do the service is either incredibly bad or incredibly good. This company is the best. So let me list the wonderful things about working with this company:
1. They show up at the promised time.
2. They deliver the services as promised and for the amount that was promised.
3. They are knowledgeable about their craft. I have some old but wonderful locks that they had NO issue working with.
4. They are trustworthy.
5. They are helpful. We had a number of choices we could have made. They explained each carefully and laid out the pros/​cons/​prices and let us make the decision that was right for us.
6. They stayed and got the job done in one trip.
7. They were attentive to my budget needs.
We had a quote from another locksmith for $ 1500 who want to replace all the locks. My tech suggested rekeying the lock for $ 60 dollars.
While the technician was there he help point out some other security risks and suggested cost effective methods to counteract them. We are going to take his suggestions and will have him come back tor a lock to the gate.
I can’t recommend them enough. If you need a locksmith, this should be the number you call.

Fantastic work! Dan and his partner came out on Christmas day and was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had a challenging lock and they worked on it using several techniques. Eventually had to drill the lock but replaced it and made extra keys which was very convenient. They were punctual and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We came back from vacation to find our new-​ish front door lock had completely frozen up. Dan was the first, and one of only two, locksmiths to return our call at 10 pm. He quickly analyzed the situation over the phone, gave us a quote, and sped to our place from across San Jose.

Dan da’ locksmith… Wow, what can I say? He’s always been on time, performed work at the highest level in terms of professionalism and skill as well as super friendly. I first hired his company to change out the locks on a house I rent in Saratoga. Too bad I can’t stay there for a longer period of time to feel as secure as I do now protected by his lock smith work. He’s moving some of the locks and equipment to my new house. Too bad we can’t take everything. Its too «in there.» This guy made it impossible for anyone except perhaps a safe cracker or himself to remove some of the stuff installed on that house. So, if I was on a panel of 3, my vote would be a 10 out of 10.
Lastly, I’m going to not only hire his company to replace the locks on my new home, I will put in some motion detectors and internal/​external cameras. They do that too. I’m a lock n’ security buff and this company translates what’s in my head or on paper into reality.

Dan the man! On time and super professional. Our business in Menlo Park needed some security upgrades and he took care of adding a deadbolt and rekeyed our store.
The locks work way better than they did before, very impressed.
We also asked about a thermostat lock and he happened to have one in stock. Woohoo!
