Dr. Mariano is a great! He takes me in to see him when im sick. It’s CASHONLY. I moved to the east bay but I would definitely drive here to see him. Office hours are monday through friday. If I had a question I know I can leave my message & get a call back. Over all he is a great Dr.

I only saw the doctor a few times over the period of a couple of years, but I have to say I’ve been consistently disappointed with his services. He’s generally fairly cold and unforthcoming; on more than one visit I had to persist with questions about treatment and follow-up to get any sense of the course of action I should take. Another time, I had expressed symptoms over the telephone(cramping, vomiting, shaking and sweating, etc.) and he said it sounded urgent and advised me to come in «right away.» When I finally got there, he just wanted to go over some previous, unrelated blood tests and didn’t even want to discuss my illness — just waved it off. What the hell? On my last visit, an intern even privately grumbled about working for him, which is pretty unprofessional, but also speaks volumes. TECHNICALLY he does get the job done if you hang in there and be insistent if you must, hence two stars instead of one. The building itself is pretty low-rent with a scary-ass elevator — not necessarily a deal-breaker, but the place is uncomfortable. Cash only, which they don’t tell you ahead of time; instead, they direct you to their ATM(and its additional fees). Classy! I’ve switched to Dr. Nishime in Japantown now. He’s gotten great reviews on Unilocal,so I’m optimistic.
