I can’t thank these guys enough for the amazing results. 16 years people…16 years of wearing glasses and contact lenses only to have my vision barely corrected to 20/30…no more! Thanks to Dr. Furlong I am now seeing ²⁰⁄₁₅! I had lasiks done because I could not advance in my career with my poor vision. I went with Dr. Furlong because of the helpful Unilocal reviews and because he is the first to offer the blade-​less all laser lasiks. Dr. Furlong and his staff were very polite, helpful and answered every question I had. Make sure and check with your health and vision plan to see if they have a referral program. Dr. Furlong and their staff will try and do their best to match prices/​discounts like they did for me.
Once you are approved for the procedure, you have to make sure and get the drops for your eyes. One antibiotic and one steroid to keep from infection and keep inflammation down. The artificial tear drops will help keep you eyes moist.
It might look like a scary procedure but you must put your trust into Dr. Furlong and his staff. They did a good job keeping me calm and comfortable throughout the procedure. He put enough numbing drops so I barely felt a dull pressure during the process. It only took 15 minutes for the actual surgery, yes 15 minutes. You will need to rest after the procedure so make sure you have an entire day free. And make sure you have a designated driver. As your eyes heal, your vision will get better.
The results? It was instant ²⁰⁄₂₀ the next day! I did have some sensitivity to lights at first but that has gone away now. 2 weeks after the procedure, I was seeing ²⁰⁄₁₅! No more contact lenses that dry out… no more glasses to worry about… I can wear sunglasses with ease. The lasiks feel so natural that I forget to tell people I run into. They would ask me «Hey what’s up, what’s new?» I would tell them «Nothing, same old same old… oh wait I had lasiks done!» I haven’t had any issues since. This procedure was life changing for me and worth the investment.
