I put 3 star (as suggested by Unilocal, A-​OK) — which doesn’t mean that they do a good or bad job.
They reply (response) very fast. In the next day I contact them, they shot me an email saying that they are fully booked for the next 8 month.
If you are looking for anything before Oct. 2014, you can simply walk away and try other architect/​contractor. I hope they disclose this fact on their website.

After seeing the Unilocal review, David reached out to me twice via email to apologize and offer another proposal. We’re going in a different direction already, but I at least appreciate his apology and effort (and the power of Unilocal,I guess). I’m bumping up his ranking up a star for the effort.

I found Dave and Modulus on Unilocal and worked with him through the estimate and planning stage of a design project recently. Although the construction did not happen for reasons outside of our control, Dave demonstrated very high professionalism, great attention to details, very methodical planning, and a lot of skills in his field of expertise. He truly thinks from the customer’s perspective, and plans things out for me step by step. I see him as not only an architect by a trustworthy guide through the entire process. I look forward to working him in the future when the opportunity comes.

I have little else to add to the other reviewers. I was most impressed by the relationship between the contractor and David. They were obviously a great team and committed to having our house look great as well work well structurally and aesthetically!

David is really gifted when it comes to architecture and design. He is quite a talented, skilled, and professional architect. He has a very strong work ethic and great communication skill. He devotes a great time to his work. He always informs us the progress of my projects. He always sent me many drafts of his work to make sure that I am satisfied before it became the final. One of the strongest points I see from him is that he listens closely to my need and turns it into a piece of art work with his brilliant ideas.
I am very lucky that I had found him to build the Elite Chiropractic and Sports Clinic from the scratch. He has helped me to design the company logo, its website, the interior layout and décor. He transformed the clinic into a beautiful and professional place. I have gotten many compliments for his work from our patients.
He is very detail oriented, and always goes out of his way to make sure that I am happy with his work. I am graceful for his help and can always count on him when architectural and design works are needed.

We approached Modulus with an unusual request: to design a mountain get-​away for our family from used shipping containers. Although they had never worked with this material, they were intrigued and jumped into the project with both feet. David, the principal, created an amazing, beautiful design that was perfectly suited to our challenging site and that met all of our requirements (and many that we hadn’t even thought of) from the first concept. Refreshingly different from the stereotype I had of architects, David listened to what we wanted and didn’t impose his personal aesthetic vision on us. It was truly a collaborative effort.
If having an architectural firm that listens to your needs, understands that real people have real budget constraints, and that has sensitivity to and an understanding of the practicalities of getting things built in the real world — while also creating innovative, breathtaking designs — you will not be disappointed in Modulus.

David and his team produced an amazing kitchen remodel for us. This comprised removing a wall, adding doors, reorienting the entire room and working with us on a space plan that accomplished our goals. He produced 3D renderings (computer-​generated pictures) that are unbelievable accurate to tho the real finished result. Throughout the process, he was responsive, professional, fast with changes, and respectful of our design wishes. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
