Back in the mid-90’s I would cut 4th period science and come here for there $ 1.50 Vietnamese sandwiches…(way cheaper than school lunch!) It was alright I guess. All my Vietnamese friends went there and so did the sexy ladies… I’m assuming it closed down from the random stories people heard? In 2002 my brother told me him and his lady ordered a thai tea with pearl drink and when they looked at the top of the drink there was a press-on nail floating in their drink! I never wanted to go back after hearing that story!

[BUSINESSISCLOSED] I came here for lunch today on a whim because I felt like supporting a non-chain banh mi place… and lo and behold… it’s no longer My My’s Coffee and Sandwiches. I guess they went out of business a while back, cuz now it’s a new café looking place… [but the name escapes me now.] I wonder how they will do in the future now that a TapEx opened up in this same plaza.

In the beginning, I seriously loved this place, and was a frequent customer. The last time I went there, I bought two sandwiches, one was the BBQ Pork(for me), and another had fried egg and sausages(for my boyfriend). It was about 4:00pm and it was my first meal of the day. As soon as I got the chance to eat it, I seriously dug in. About 5 bites later, I noticed part of a hair sticking out of the bread. Then I saw another hair on the other side of the bread. It was just disgusting! I threw away the sandwich immediately and rinsed my mouth. My boyfriend told me that they get their bread baked at another location. Either way, I just don’t want to eat there again, just to avoid eating more hairs.

This typical lil’ mom and pop Vietnamese shop is DELICIOSO! this place has been here forever! The food is very authentic, which is served by friendly owners and workers and is very inexpensive! My most favorite sandwich is the pork loaf with pâté(banh mi cha lua pâté). For breakfast, the egg sandwiches are the best! I like to eat the sandwich while drinking milk tea with coffee jelly and pearls! Their Thai tea and taro smoothie are also my favorite drinks. I’ve heard that this place is also known for the café sua da(Vietnamese iced coffee) which is very strong! i had some to stay awake for my studies, and it sure kept me up! OH! and the spring rolls are yummmyyy! They also do large party orders for stuff like spring rolls, egg rolls, noodles, rice flour cake(banh beo) and other traditional Vietnamese foods. There are also these jello cakes that you can order for any occasions and they taste very good! the cakes have about 5 layers with 3 – 4 different flavors and it is decorated with pretty flowers that are also jello! yum! Check this lil’ shop out! there are many different sandwiches, pearl drinks and smoothies to try! There are also prepackaged foods, snacks and selections of ready to eat vegetarian foods. If you want authentic vietnamese food for under $ 5, this is the place go!

I have nothing much to say about this place, besides the fact that I was told to come here for really good sandwiches and it failed me miserably.

Don’t miss out on this place, its your regular mom and pop joint, with fantastic sandwiches. Instead of going to McDonalds down the street for breakfast i go here to get myself their egg sandwiches. The sauce they put on the bread is great, its what really makes it stand out from the Lees across the street. Also their drinks aren’t that bad either, so if your either out of school, out for lunch, or just looking for a quick meal be sure to check out this place.

Definitely a fan of their fried egg sandwich. I LOVE eggs and when I saw they have fried egg sandwich, I was near drooling. We decided to get the fried egg with pork roll and a special ham combo — all for $ 6.25! It’s just crazy how inexpensive it is… to think you can fill your stomach with less than $ 5 in today’s economy. The sandwiches were great. The bread was slightly toasted so it’s warm and cruncy on the outside while soft on the inside. The fried egg sandwich was fantastic — the egg was still hot and it really brings out the fantastic flavor of the cilantro, pepper and all. They were very skimpy on the pork roll but it was still fantastic. This was so delicious that I’ve already decided we’ll be coming back to get the fried egg combo next time. The special ham combo was also very tasty and it was packed with plenty meat, tasty. A very simple deli inside a strip mall with a few tables, some prepackaged meal, a great selection of pearl drinks, sandwiches and some other snacks and desserts.

I have yet to try their egg sandwiches but the regular Cha Lua Sandwich is alright. Their drinks are not bad at all. There are a lot of snacks and candy/gum to munch on. I was sad to say that I was expecting a little more. Maybe next time, it’ll be a better visit for me.

i totally agree with the other reviews. Their sauces is what makes their sandwiches so great. love their grilled chicken sandwiches. its an extra step to make their sandwiches special. theres a lee’s sandwiches right across the street.(they only use soy sauce in their sandwiches.) Which i believed just opened about a year or two ago. i would rather eat at my my. also try their pearl drinks. They have some pretty unique combinations.

Aside from Huong Lan Sandwiches, this place will always have a special place in my heart!!! Haha. I don’t think it’s the actual sandwiches that make their food good. It’s the damn sauces. Yum! I can’t say I’ve ever had a problem with my favorite combo: Chicken sandwich with a mocha pearl tea. All for wayyyyy under 5 bucks. I think it’s 3? Aww. I’m so happy they were able to upgrade the place a little. I was starting to get worried when I was in high school, and instead of being greeted by the people running the place, my little mouse friends were the ones to say hello! I don’t care. the dirtier the better!

my favorite old-time Viet deli. the owners are friendly although there was a little night encounter that would veered me away from the business but i still come back for the many sandwiches that they offer, esp. the red sauce that they use for the BBQ pork…

The banh mi ga here is SO good! The sauce they use is unlike other places. The shakes are also very good too. I recommend the avocado or durian.(If you can handle the durian flavor!) The mocha shake and iced coffee is yummy too when you need a caffeine boost.

This place used to be my bread and butter growing up. Now it’s an old favorite Vietnamese sandwich shop. My favorite sandwiches are the chicken, bbq pork, and pork skin.
