Nancy’s Alterations & Cleaners

Excellent service and very nice!
The owner and team at Nancy’s did excellent work on some alterations, and did so on time and on budget. This is no small feat given how popular this place is. On top of that, they were very warm and friendly.
I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back the next time alterations are needed.

I thoguht I would bring my dress here since it is so convenient just 1 block away from home.
Dropped it off on a Friday afternoon and the lady confirmed will be ready for pick up by Wednesday the next week. Decent enoguh 1 dress, 5 days.
All it needed was to be taken in an inch since I lost a lot of weight from when I first bought it. It was a simple summer dress. Thin material, no boning, or anything special.
It cost me $ 30, to get it take it in. Steep pricing than what I have experienced at other places.
When I went at 5pm to pick up that wednesday, first lady couldn’t find it took her multiple tries to seach and about 10 mins to do so. Then she asked a 2^nd lady to help her. 2^nd lady found it i. The pile right I front of me, which the first lady looked throguh 4 to 5 times prior.
When she found it she asked when do you need it by?
WHY would she ask me that you ask? Because the lady explained she might have «missed it and it wasn’t done.»
I was leaving for a trip the next day and just couldn’t believe it. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Ended up just running to the mall to find another blue dress for my trip.

I have been a huge fan of Nancy’s for many years. They have done excellent work with my suits, shirts, pants. They are better, faster and friendlier than any other place I’ve tried.

I’ve probably had her tailor a dozen or so dress shirts and I’ve always been satisfied. You can’t beat the quality of service for the price.

I just realized at the last visit, I’ve been brining alterations to Kim for 15 years!
They always fit perfectly, are done well and reasonably priced!
Ill continue to recommend Kim for the next 15 years!

Nancy is amazing! I have taken pants, dresses & skirts to be hemmed and taken in from the sides and she always does an amazing job. Ive also had her alter bridesmaid dresses and other formal dresses and they come out great, you cant even tell They were altered. Nancy’s is my go to alteration spot even though its out of my way.

Well that sucked, spent several times on the phone with nancy to discuss having a christening dress made for my daughter, even emailed her pictures to let her know what kind of dress I wanted and asked for a quote. Here I am five days later without knowing anything about whether she has the time to make the dress or what it would cost. Guess I am going to need to find someone else to make it for me.

This is my go-​to place for alterations! They are friendly, decently priced and timely with deadlines. I have never had anything go wrong here and am so glad to have a tailor I can trust to do good work.

We have been using Nancy’s for over a decade. Top quality hems on jeans and men’s pants, perfect alteration of formals, repair of difficult items such as sweater holes, couldn’t ask for more! Prices are reasonable too.

I have been coming here for almost 13 years. I have always been pleased with the work they have done. No matter what part of San Jose I have lived in I have always come back to Nancy’s because I trust their work and I know the prices are very reasonable. I have everything altered here from Halloween costumes, Jeans, formal dresses. They are always very friendly and can even get the stuff done that I need in a rush.

I have been going there for maybe 16 yrs, she always gets it done right there what it comes to getting something hemmed or altered. In this amount of time I have had almost everything done at this point and have had super service and she does what is asked… I recommend it all the time…

I’ve been going to this place for years (8 to be exact), because its across the street from my work. I do a lot of alterations and every piece has been up to my expectation. The price is cheap and she does a really good job. I’ve never had my clothes cleaned so I do not know how the cleaning part is but as for the alteration, its very professional and well done.

First review and it’s a shame that it’s a bad one.
Went there today and expected my order to be ready because they said Monday and it was Tuesday. And then I came and they were confused, didn’t know where it was, some machine was broken… Blah, blah, blah.
It’s dry cleaning not brain science.
I understand things happen but no one apologized, offered compensation, or even told what precisely was going on. And then she tried to tell me half of my order could be brought in in a few hours end the rest would be ready later! What the hell is that?!? Who splits up dry cleaning orders except for a customer?
Dry cleaning is already made inconvenience that sometimes grants itself to be a necessity, but this really made it so much worse.
Will never ever return.
UPDATE: It’s Thusrday and I finally got my clothes, needless to say her attitude was horrible, still didn’t even get an apology and really no one even remembered they made a mistake. Was absolutely HORRIBLE… I honestly don’t know why this place exists.
