Nestle Toll House

Folks that know how to bake and enjoy baking should not buy cookies especially from here. I admit that it was an impulse buy because I wanted something sweet and I wanted to get cookies for the program manager at 4 C’s Santa Clara as well. I saw a small basket on the counter and the sign reads, «½ off Day Old Cookies».
I love chocolate chip cookies and I remember baking 12 dozens once. I saved 2 dozens for myself and it took me a little over a week to finish them, surprisingly. My chocolate chip cookies were still moist, chewy, and decadent. These «day old» cookies made me wish I went to Safeway next door to get Chips Ahoy (Chips Ahoy sucks, BTW). I wasted a little over $ 4 but the lady over at 4 C’s really appreciated the gesture.
The cookies tasted stale and had an awkward aftertaste. Cookies should leave you wanting more… but these (a pack has 3 cookies) made me want to throw them directly into the trash. I cannot believe I wasted my precious calories on this mediocre dessert.
As I lay here watching: My Fair Wedding and typing up this review, I realize that I cannot wait till Monday and next Saturday. I am going to do Bhangra on Monday and on Saturday, I plan to bike for a few hours. I am a relatively open person but lately it just seems that the only way I can express my feelings is by incorporating it onto my review and I have. I just feel like I am missing something. I do have a blog but w/​a full day at work, the gym, the kids, working our after the kids have fallen asleep… my blog has been moved to the back burner. I was looking at the upcoming Giants game. It looks like I will be present for a few back to back games… I hardly do anything for myself (other than eating out, knocking off bookmarks) so I don’t and will not think twice about doing this for myself.
Fifteen more minutes till Friday. I start my 3 day detox per Dr. Oz on Sunday.
Moral of the story: if you know how to bake, don’t buy cookies from these corporate giants (or franchise). I had a former almost brother-​in-​law whom was Italian and would throw a fit if he sees pasta sauce from a jar. Do it yourself.
