A very competent tailor. He can do pretty much any alteration, whether large or small.
Be sure to tell him exactly what you want as he’s not one to offer suggestions for best fit but instead relies on what you tell him you want.
Ngan’s on Santa Clara Street is my preferred tailor as he’s more experienced and offers better prices, but this is still a very good tailor.

I like my jeans lived-​in and I’m very picky about denim. I follow these crazy care rules that are set forth by denimologists and so forth. So, when my babies develop holes in my bottom area from excessive wear, I don’t worry about buying a new pair of jeans. I know that my go-​to tailor will work some magic and patch them babies up with some sold reinforcing!

A while back, my cat peed on my bed’s comforter. I tolerated the smell for a little while — then I decided to take it to the cleaner to get that stink removed.
What did I do? I wanted to benefit local businesses, so I took it to Nice Tailoring & Cleaner at 492 N 13^th St.
BIG MISTAKE!
They charged me $ 30 and took a week to «dry-​clean» it.
As it turns out, they never cleaned it at all. It still smells like cat piss. I know what a freshly dry-​cleaned item it supposed to smell like. They didn’t do a damn thing with it.
I don’t recommend going to this business at all!

Truly. I wanted to be able to write a nice review. This is a neighborhood business that I want to support, but just can’t. There is nothing about this business that works for me.
They do not open until NINE and they close early. Don’t people need to go before and after work?
They told me they would call when my pants were ready. No call. I thought, «ok, whatever, I will call them.» No phone # on the receipt. I look it up. No website. Phone # incorrect on Unilocal,etc.
So I have no way to reach them and can’t go their place when they are open, and it is a week later and they haven’t called me.
Then, I find out it is a cash only operation.
Finally, I get my pants and one pair has one leg longer than the other (which I had warned them about and the guy swore he wouldn’t have an issue) and the other pair is too short. I measured the legs and, indeed, they had hemmed the two pairs differently.
Not happy at all.

I love this place! I have had several pieces dry cleaned and altered here, including formal dresses. They do it right and on time. The only hassle is its cash only.

This is my go-​to tailor. It’s a husband and wife business. They are very friendly and have yet to mess up any of my garments badly. They charge $ 10 for hemming jeans, $ 12 to make the legs slimmer, and $ 16 if you do both at the same time. I have brought over dozens of garments with confidence. The only problem I ever had was I once brought in a pair of jeans to trim the legs so that they were slimmer. The stitching came off right after the first wash. I brought it back and they fixed it within two minutes. Decent prices, great service, peace of mind.
