I’ve been a loyal customer of this Papa Murphy’s location for many years. However, I’ve decided to stop coming to this location due to the new management team. The new management team has significantly increased prices and decreased the quantity of the ingredients.
And the most disappointing part is that their customer service is very poor:
I purchased a pizza earlier today and immediately asked for a refund after I noticed the +60% mark-​up. The manager made it difficult to process my refund and stated that the price I used to pay was incorrect. Prior to processing the refund, the manager offered to decrease the price to what I used to pay. However, I didn’t accept the offer because he was still offering me a higher price. After he processed the refund, he also stated that I was the first customer to complain about the price increase (he clearly isn’t reading the latest Unilocal reviews). I understand that businesses need to raise prices to compensate for higher wages in the Bay Area. However, a 60% mark-​up is unreasonable.
Management needs to realize that pizza is a substitutable product and consumers will take their business elsewhere if they continue to run the business poorly.

We have been going there for years and have always had good service and great pizza. Since the new ownership the pizza has declined while the price has escalated. Last night was the worst… and last! Will have to find a new go-​to place for take home pizza. Really sad

So apparently this location changed ownership in the last week. My husband and I have a Thursday night routine of Papa Murphy’s pizza and salad that we’ve followed religiously for a few years. So, tonight my husband goes in for our usual Chicago stuffed and Caesar salad for two. #1. We have always been offered 2 dressings and 2. Croutons… Not today without an extra fee. 2. The salad itself was smaller than normal. #3. The salad price was raised $ 1. #4. 2 liter of Pepsi went from under $ 2 to $ 2.50, whatever. Now to the pizza… Pizza is started and «we’re out of ground beef… We’re out of onions… We’re out of green onions… What do you have? Cheese amounts are cut in half. Good thing I wasn’t present. At this moment I really want to return everything for a full refund but I’m sure that is not their policy now. It’s a sad day for me as I use to love this place. Tonight will be our very last visit! Not that they care as I had an issue once before and never even got a response. Bad business.

No complaints about this place in the many years we’ve been going there. Friendly staff, quick service, great pizzas. Not to mention good coupons and deals all the time. You can’t go wrong.

Who doesn’t love this place! You can’t go wrong with a pizza you bake yourself and it tastes better than most delivery joints! There salads are pretty decent also at $ 4 a pop! Lets start a petition to have one on every street corner!

When it comes to cheat day and you decide pizza, GO TO PAPA MURPHY’S. No other pizza will make you roll back your eyes and moan. Am I over exaggerating? Nope.
When it comes to pizza, nothing makes me happier when bringing home a freshly put together pizza, ready to bake.
Soft, cheesy, meaty, veggie-​y, cheese stretching to the ceiling pizza.
Now you’re thinking, «Should I actually go to Papa Murphy’s? This girl’s review seems biased». When you’re a picky ass mofo like me, it’s hard to be pleased. That’s saying something. So yes, call ahead and order a pizza. You won’t be sorry.

Good place. Got a large stuffed crusted pizza for $ 10 on Tuesday night. Staff seemed competent.

Take ‘N’ Bake! What a cool concept! Such an easy, but still cute date night idea!
I picked up the chicken bacon stuffed pizza recently, and was quite pleased with how it turned out! It was loaded with stuffing in a creamy sauce, and the dough came out nice and spongy. Pretty filling, so dinner came in the size of one single slice for me. I got ours without onions and that didn’t take away from the taste at all since all of the stuffing was flavorful. The regular sized lasted us a few days… days old pizza, different, but still yummy! I was impressed!
Fair pricing, imo. Well, at least for the stuffed crust. I’m looking forward to trying all their other styles and toppings! There’s so much to choose from!
The pizza came with a $ 3 coupon if you fill out the online survey within a few days. They also had a salad and bread sticks combo for $ 6, but we regretted getting the bread sticks since they needed to be baked at a different time than the pizza, which ended up being inconvenient for us single oven owners. We cooked it with the pizza anyway and it turned out too hard. Maybe one day we’ll own multiple ovens ;) or we’ll just have to figure out how to execute this better…
Customer service was great! Manager was on duty behind the prep station and he, along with all his workers, were cordial and prompt.

This papa Murphy’s is literally one of the BEST pizza places around! The staff at this location is always extremely friendly and always helpful. The pizza here is one of the best around in San Jose and if your in the area I would definitely give it a try!

I’ve always enjoyed Papa Murphy’s – it was Grams go to kid meal during the holidays – but I LOVE this location. This team always goes the extra mile, friendly, quick, considerate. We stopped by right before close on Thursday and Alli was quick to help us. She took our order, prepared our Mediterranean chicken pizza, and sent us on our way, all the time with a smile on her face. As I said the staff is always friendly and happy to help even right down to the wire. Thanks to the Union/​Foxworthy team!

Nice place. Fresh, delicious as the rest but on the plus side this location offers a free $ 2 bucks off Keychain you can use each visit for members! Love it and always use it! Thanks!

Interesting place. Haven’t really seen a place where they serve you an uncooked pizza, and then you go and cook it in your own home. It’s either frozen pizzas, a Papa John’s/Domino’s, and a sit down pizza place like Cici’s. But Papa Murphy’s was very interesting in the sense that they plastic wrap some dough, and you cook it in your own home. It takes about 10 minutes (smells good), and it is very very cheap.
$ 12 for a gourmet pizza, $ 4 for cheesy bread, and the owner hands you a $ 2 off keychain for the next time you visit (and any visit after that). He’s really nice, hands you a bunch of coupons, and has excellent customer service. The pizzas are nothing to go crazy about, but it was a different experience. I liked it. Especially the cheesy bread with the marinara sauce. Might try it again if I’m in the mood.

Good in theory, but check food carefully as service level varies. I was sent to pick up a phone order and grab a pre-​made salad. Upon returning home my husband asked what kind of dressing I got. Well, none. Apparently they were supposed to ask me and did not so I thought it was in the package. Even worse, I got the Mediterranean salad, as we had it last week and it was delicious, but this time when we opened it it had chicken in it! No where on the label did it say «chicken.» I am a vegetarian. Disappointing.

No, we did not burn the pizza as Papa Murphy employee questioned. The crust of 2 pizza stuck to pizza tray after cooking. Except for a small section, pizza could not be pulled of cooking tray without the tray ripping and tearing. Food unedible. Dinner ruined, thankfully many other pizza options in the neighborhood.

I’ve enjoyed Papa Murphy’s pizza ever since I started eating it. This location creates their pizzas quickly and efficiently, and they’ve even begun making pizzas using udi’s gluten free pizza dough!

Can’t beat papa Murphy’s take n bake pizza. Try the pan pizza, it’s the best. I just wish they came in a family size.

Two words: CHEESEBURGER PIZZA! Omg, there should be some sort of worldly reward given to the person who invented this pizza.
I absolutely loved Papa Murphy’s to begin with, and now they’ve just topped the charts… that’s right, they’ve surpassed Round Table Pizza in my book. That’s a big deal!
