Best hotel stay in a LONG time. Being a recent college grad, price means a lot to me. I came to California to visit some friends and this hotel was worth every penny! We stayed in a king studio room that was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was so convenient, the design was so modern and the room just felt so clean. Same went for their fitness facility. It was 24/7, clean and had the necessities. The staff both when we checked in and got breakfast in the morning was great! Always smiling and so attentive. When I go back to visit my friends I will most definitely be staying here again!

This place is brand new, and is connected to a Spring Hill Suite it is, about ½ mile from San Jose Airport, not sure on the price since I used my free night stay, they also charge $ 15 a day to park, they(I have not had the) free breakfast buffet, Skyport bar and grill is only open from 5pm to 11pm, food served until 10pm, now onto the room, I stayed on 7th floor which is the top floor of the hotel, the room is huge, kitchenette, with full size fridge, 2 burner stove top, mdishwasher, micro, full size coffee pot, full size couch, 55 in flat screen, full size couch, the bathroom is very nice as well, huge shower, wish I was staying longer then 1 night.

Slow bungled check in is accentuated by needing to put parking passes in your car to keep their security staff happy(seriously what the heck do I care about them) and then even if using the mobile app for checkin they still need your card to prevent«fraud»… Yeah, not reassuring. PS: The Internet was not great.

The bad: Check your room bill before you leave. I had $ 9 in market beverage/food charges(you know where you get a soda or TV dinner from downstairs and they charge it to your room) that were not mine. I also had one of my nights out of my three charged at $ 9 more than it should have been. I had all of that refunded back to me but if I didn’t notice it and ask about it it would have gone unnoticed. This issue with people grabbing food or snacks from downstairs and then just calling out room numbers as they pass by the desk clerk needs to change. You can’t just have random charges going on people’s bills when they didn’t order it. Either scan each item in or, if you’re gonna let the person call out something verbally, make theme say the person’s name so the desk clerk can check it in the computer. No Jacuzzi. You would think a hotel that splurges on such fine amenities everywhere else in terms of the rooms and common areas and the pool area itself, would certainly not try and skimp with the Jacuzzi. That’s kind of weird. 85% of hotels out there have Jacuzzis. For some reason Marriott decides to not have one in several of its properties. Also, I asked the front desk for housecleaning to visit my room, left for 4 hours, came back and it still was not done. They quickly got it done in the next 30 minutes while I waited downstairs, and they comped me a bottle of Gatorade(how nice lol), so it wasn’t a huge deal but it was a small irritation. So why 4 stars? Because the rooms are so incredibly nice and upscale and modern. Because the TV’s are huge and every channel in HD(are you listening, Courtyard???) Because the front desk staff is extremely attentive and nice and accommodating and helpful. Especially Wally, who went out of his way to make me happy on my first day there. The staff is just incredible, every one of them. Because the breakfast is awesome and the pool area(minus the Jacuzzi) is top notch. Kinda sucks having to add $ 15 every day to your bill for parking, but overall it may be worth it because this a nice hotel. Residence Inn is my favorite brand in the Marriott family, and this one is better than any Residence Inn I have ever stayed at. It’s like a luxury hotel.

I booked this hotel for two nights. Its a brand new place, my first complaint was the charge of 15 dollars per night for parking, on the booking site I used it stated«self parking» nothing about a nightly fee, 2nd complaint is the policy of holding $ 250 yes, $ 250 out of your account if you use an Debit/Credit card! Talk about a rip off, I am writing this review on Mon. We checked out Sunday, and money is STILL on hold, so wrong… ok so after we checked in, we were on the first floor, walking to our room there was a very strong smell like wet dog or garbage! gross. My husband complained and I guess there was a bin of garbage that was collected from morning sitting in hall, which was removed and they sprayed. So room was really nice, lighting in bathroom was bad though, and bed was extra firm, not very comfortable. We went out for the day, left around 9am returned around 3pm that afternoon, room had not been cleaned, we rested a bit, and left for dinner and a movie, told the front desk room had not been serviced, they apologized and said they will take care of it. We returned around 11pm, Nope room was never serviced the two days we were there. When we checked out the girl asked if we had gotten our bill under the door, nope didn’t get that either, while room was nice with the exception of the lighting in bathroom and extremely hard bed, I don’t think I“d return, there are better options all around that area. Garbage left in hall to the point of smelling up the whole area, and not servicing a room for two days, and holding on to $ 250 just not worth it.

Great stay! Arrived for the weekend for a golf tourney nearby. The rooms are really clean and felt roomy and the bed was comfy! The pool area was really nice with lots of chairs and fireplace. The gym is super clean with new machines and free weights. They even give you complimentary earphones to take with you! We got to the breakfast late on Sunday and they were really accommodating and made sure we had enough food! The staff was really friendly and happy! Overall a great visit for our family of five! Definitely recommend!

I have stayed here roughly 3 weeks total already and was here for the soft opening and then after the grand opening. This hotel is great. The rooms are nice with having a seating area, kitchenette, spacious desk, TV and bathroom. The TV is HUGE for a hotel room. It also turns to face the desk and sitting area and then you can turn it to face the bed. The desk is also large and spacious which gives you plenty of room to spread out and work. The couch is L spaced and has enough room for several people to sit or even to lay down. The kitchen comes equipped with the basics so if you would like to run to the store or have the staff run for you and cook your meals you can Breakfast doesn’t start till 630a, which if your here for business might start a bit late since they are often still setting up at 630a. Also if a lot of people are present at the same time for breakfast often everything is gone and it takes a bit to replenish. I chalk it up to a new hotel with a new staff trying to learn the ebbs and flows of the hotel. The entire staff is wonderful and accommodating. I had just reached platinum status and the front desk crew put together a bag of goodies for me to congratulate me. The lobby area is very welcoming to sitting and hanging out. The gym has nice equipment and doesn’t feel cramped when others are in it. Pool area is great and gas grills if you feel like making burgers. Oh and I have done laundry here. The laundry room has several washers and dryers so you don’t have to wait for other guests to finish.

Brand new Residence Inn Marriott. Shares lobby with Spring Hill Suites Marriott. Rates run from $ 159(low demand nite) to $ 309(high end demand nite). Very close to the San Jose Int’l Airport and adjacent to the Qualcomm SJ Technology Drive campus. There is a bar in the lobby, too!
