San Jose Massage Therapy Asian Spa

I guess this is where I go sometimes… Used to be called something else. Now, based on the other reviews, I realize why I am always put in the room near the front desk, with two beds and lots of light, as opposed to the back private rooms… ahem. Ha!
Anyway, I usually call ahead and always get in. I have seen Nancy around 5 times now for a 1-​hour «foot» massage. She uses fairly traditional Chinese style massage — I’ve had massages Hong Kong. She’s very good in comparison, and WAY better than most local foot massages I’ve had. Starts with a 5 minute foot soak in perfect temperature water (tea bag/“medicine” included). Then I think 45 minutes spent on legs (knee and below), with lots of detail given to feet– think scraping knuckles in tiny places. What is different, and great, is that the rest of the body is included, albeit for a shorter time. The remaining 15 minutes is spent on back– think pushing forearms and digging elbows. Today was fantastic, maybe the best yet. I feel SO much better than I did before, $ 30 VERY well spent ($ 25/​hour + 5 tip).

I went here because I found this place through craigslist and checked out the website and the pictures were nothing what the place looked liked and the ladies of course hahahaha. This place is in a medical center and had to find. When I came in there was no one in the front desk and wait there for 15 minutes and then I wanted to leave, but I drove all this for a massage. I finally got someone at first she was very rude and demanded the money up front because usually in a service job you pay afterwards. It did not bother me, but the lady was definitely older too not as the website says hahahaha. Her english was okay and she ended up being nice after she opened up to me, but told me not to come back because it seemed like I was bored. The masage itself was just okay. I gone to 2 massages and the oils are usually better. I only got lotion. I ended up paying $ 50 dollars for the massage and gave her a 5 dollar tip :(Ia m usually generous, but not to day.

It is a nice and quiet place. People there are very friendly.
