San Jose Small Moves

Ray and Luis are awesome! They were early, loaded up the truck super fast and there was zero damage to my stuff or house. I used to live in a wannabe Winchester mystery house full of dark hallways and cramped staircases but they had no trouble maneuvering around my complex. Then came the icing on the cake — Ray got out his tools and saved me some money by fixing my crappy IKEA bed. I highly recommend SJ Small Moves. Hopefully I won’t be moving again any time soon but if I do, I’ll definitely want to work with them again.
Protip #1 — Use boxes. For some reason, that didn’t occur to me and I packed like a hobo so my move got messy. They were cool about it but ya know… don’t be that person lol
Protip #2 — Bring cash. They use a card reader, which is convenient but a percentage of the charge goes to some other company and the two movers deserve every penny of that sale.

The movers Ray and Hector are amazing!!! They managed to schedule us last minute (the same week that we are moving!) Ray was very helpful on the phone and their price is very reasonable. They are very honest and they work very fast and efficiently. They showed up on time with their truck and 2 dollies, we have several big items and they lift and handle it easily. They finished the job earlier than expected and were very professional and kind the whole time!!! I would use them again when I move out again!!! They are the BEST!!!

This moving company was a great find and I will definitely use them again! Ray was super helpful with my initial inquiry, questions throughout the process, and the day of. They gave me a window of time for the start of my appointment and called me right at the beginning to let me know their actual ETA so I was not just sitting around waiting. The storage unit where I had my stuff did not have their large carts out and my building has no elevator, two facts that they were a little surprised by, but Ray and Hector stayed in good spirits throughout my move, joking about getting a better workout than the runners in SF Marathon taking place the same day. They were quite friendly and had a good sense of humor keeping us all entertained through the normal tedium of moving. They wrapped all my furniture and things that were loose or not closed and the pro-​rate based on actual time instead of half or hour chunks like most other places was definitely helpful. I would definitely use them again next time I move!

These movers were awesome!
Me and my roommate weren’t the best packers while intoxicated lol. however, the guys made it clear that it wouldn’t be a problem considering we had no lids to a numerous amount of boxes., garbage bags full of random items, and items still not packed up and ready to go. Worst packers ever award goes to me and my roommate. LOL
They packaged, taped, disassembled our furniture, and delivered and assembled everything for us not even 1 mile away from our apt. No broken items and no dents on anything. They even made a stop to another location to pick up a table!

Small Moves was highly recommended by a friend of mine when my time to move came just shy of two weeks ago. Ray was very helpful with scheduling, sending me all the details via email and giving the rates up front. The move went smothly thanks to their care, professionalism and attention to details. My new landlord also was very appreciative of how careful they were to avoid damaging the walls. I would definitely use their services again and again.

I’ve moved twice within the past year (both within the Bay Area), and I used San Jose Small Moves for the second move. I’ll definitely go with these guys again for my next move! They were quick, efficient, and charged less than the first company. The move went a little bit over the scheduled two hours, and Ray only charged me for the extra time instead for an entire extra hour, which was a pleasant surprise. Ray was also nice enough to give me a ride to my new place because my car was out of commission. He’s a really cool guy, and made moving simple!
