Great place to watch a volleyball game. Seats almost hang over the court. Fun old building. Look for the concave roof right at 4th and San Carlos Street. I had a great time with my daughter watching San Jose State women’s team defeat Wyoming. Go Spartans!

It’s conveniently located and free for SJSU students — that’s mostly why I go. Otherwise, it’s super crowded during the semester and is poorly ventilated. Good luck getting on a treadmill during the week. Machines are regularly out of use for maintenance as they get a lot of use, and tend to be out for a while once damaged. Generally, mornings (especially fri-​sun) are best if you’re looking for less of a crowd.
Lockers are available for day-​use as well as semester rental. They also offer personal trainers and group fitness classes for a nominal fee.

Die San Jose State University liegt an einer gut befahrenen Strasse. Die Unruhe allerdings bleibt ganz schnell hinter einem, wenn man die ersten Schritte auf den Campus macht. Hinter alten, historisch wirkenden Fasaden befindet sich ein sehr schönes Innenleben mit harmonisch angelegten Gärten, großen Palmen (?) und viel Ruhe. Nur zu gut kann ich mir vorstellen mich hier auf das Wesentliche zu konzentrieren. Die Anlage sollte man sich mal angeschaut haben, einfach toll !
