There’s no controlling the weather. This was my forth year and it is fun event no matter the weather. With that being said, I’m thankful I carried my own water because the water station had large bottles of water sitting on the table but there were no cups and no one manning the table. Only saw one mile marker and it was at mile 2. About a quarter or less of a mile before the finish line hot chocolate was being offered. I didn’t want to stop just before the finish line, this could be offered after the finish line. By the time I got to the finish line I was so cold(again weather) that I don’t even know what was offered. I do appreciate the snow at the finish line. But there was no «Santa» music playing on the last stretch as it had been in the past. It was nice the Turkey Trot offered a discount for this race. I like that it goes to support a good cause. Would be a double thumbs up if we got cute finishing medals. hint hint.

Turkey Trot™ trotters are encouraged to participate or encourage others to participate with their token $ 5 discount but like all non-competitive competitions and races, it’s an All Play and non-registered racers are by no means thrown in Santa Run jail. For my first ever 5K of any kind requiring registration, it wasn’t as traumatic as Murphy’s Law would have dictated! The added beneficial bonus was the end of the race ending at Christmas in the Park — with Milk & Cookies(+water bottles +yogurt)!!! The crowded San Pedro Parking Garage was $ 5.oo and nearby baby lots were charging $ 8.oo all day. Merry Holidays x X-mas everybody! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
