Shahida recently helped us find a rental in Silicon Valley when we moved from out of state. About a week before we came out we sent her a list of requirements and the day before our tour she sent us a list of the properties we were going to view. She planned the day out perfectly, we saw 7 places and by the end we had chosen the perfect one. She helped us with the applications on the spot.

This is a long overdue review for Shahida. And I rarely ever review things, but she really helped us out more than I can express.
We were moving from Boston to the Bay Area because my fiancée was accepted into the Stanford chemistry PhD program. We aren’t home owners yet as we are pretty young and making our way up there. And we have a very sweat and extremely gentle German Shepherds. I’m not sure how many out there have tried renting with a German Shepherd, but it is almost impossible. Almost all renters (and some home insurance company’s) deem German Shepherds (along with dogs like Husky’s, Pitbulls, etc) as dangerous/​aggressive breeds. They won’t even consider meeting the specific dog and deciding for themselves. They are automatically written off, regardless of the owners responsibility of training the dog having everything to do with whether or not a dog is dangerous.
I called a few dozen listings I found online and each one told me German Shepherds weren’t allowed. We even increased our budget by nearly $ 700 a month to see if we can find anything. It felt hopeless.
Until we found Shahida via Unilocal after hours of searching. My first phone call with her she made me feel 100 times better about the upcoming move for which we didn’t have a home yet. She told us, it will be tough and your options are definitely limited (to privately owned houses), but she’s confident she can find us a place. Even if we are very picky and like the modern amenities.
When it came time to meet with her and have her show us around during a short trip to CA from MA, she told us she found about 60 or so potential leads and she did the legwork of calling each one and talking to them about our situation with the German Shepherd. Out of those, she said there were 8 that said it was fine. For us to even find one would have taken a year of searching.
She showed us around and we found a couple we really liked. We decided on the one we wanted and the next day, we had sent the application, deposits, etc and had been approved almost immediately. We love the place we are living in right now. And our four legged friend loves it too! We couldn’t be happier.

We were lucky enough to be assigned Shahida’s services when my husband was transferred to the San Jose area for work. She was assigned to give us a tour of neighborhoods we might want to live in and then to set up a tour of rental houses. The neighborhood tour was a joy. She was amusing and informative about different neighborhoods. We were very worried about finding the perfect house to rent as we have a dog, but Shahida diligently tracked down a number of dog-​friendly rentals and we are about to move into our dream house in a few weeks. Outstanding customer service, good listening skills, professionalism and a wonderful sense of humor. .. that’s Shahida!
