I love this place! My favorite place to get milk tea! it’s good for places for groups! I recommend the Oolong milk tea with pudding!

I ordered a strawberry green tea creama at 50% sweet with aloe vera and my friend ordered a mango green green tea creama at 50% with lychee jelly. I’ve ordered these drinks at other ShareTeas(Union City and Berkeley) so I know how they’re supposed to taste like. However, when I ordered these drinks at this location the taste was just completely off. Both teas lacked the fruit purée so all you tasted was green tea and the syrup from the toppings. Cashier could also work on his customer service.

Sharing boba? Now that’s tough, but getting boba from Sharetea? No brainer! Sharetea is a pretty solid place to satisfy your boba fix. Located in a plaza right next to the ever-so-popular Gen Korean BBQ, the tiny parking lot will make any driver groan in exasperation.(Seriously, is it a criteria for boba places to have the worst parking ever?) But once you fit your car into that compact stall and walk inside, you’ll be greeted by a clean, white establishment with large flat screen menus hanging overhead and canvases of their feature drinks upon their walls. Sharetea offers a variety of milk teas like Hokkaido, Okinawa, and oolong, as well as fruit teas and smoothies. Normally, I go for the green milk tea with pudding, and nine out of ten times they make it perfectly; however, there are some moments when the flavor of tea is drowned out by the over-abundance of milk. I also have tried many of their fruit drinks like Hawaiian fruit tea, a combination of grapefruit, pineapple, and orange tea, as well as their passion fruit tea with yakult and peach green tea. Their fruit teas are SUPER refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. I can’t say Sharetea is the best of the best, but it definitely earns its spot as ONEOFTHEBEST. Prices are just a tiny bit more expensive than other places and their five stars reward system is the worst I have encountered by far(a free drink after 12 purchases), but that doesn’t stop a bunch of boba lovers from stopping by. Once you buy a drink from Sharetea, I’m certain you won’t want to share a single sip.

Truthfully, I really this place for boba drinks. I usually get the ones with«fresh milk». Other boba places do say they use«fresh milk» but I question it. It’s usually pretty creamy. Here, it’s lighter and not as creamy. Possibly other places use fresh milk w/a splash of creamer or something. My GOTO is the roasted oolong tea w/fresh milk and grass jelly. Smooth, able to taste tea, not too creamy, but perfect! A plus, they have quick and friendly service!

Came here last week as I was waiting for my dinner time and ordered the taro milk and black tea creama. I’ve had both at the San Mateo ShareTea and have loved both. The taro milk was still really good, but had so many pieces of crushed ice, I felt like I could barely drink it — I had to stop to chew or spit out the ice with every sip… I don’t remember the San Mateo store having so much ice in it. The black tea creama was just ok… not bad, but not good, either — it was just nothing notable. I was so excited to have a ShareTea in San Jose, but this store is just mediocre.

Sharetea is over hyped. I’ve tried it several times at the Berkeley location, and each time I’ve been pretty disappointed by my orders… no matter what I do. I LOVE cremas, and apparently Sharetea’s cremas were suppose to be the BEST of the BEST, but I was thoroughly disappointed the many times I tried it. Regardless of the flavor, it just felt like there was powder in my drink. I got a peach green tea, and there were artificial peach bits in it… and I did not like that one bit. I got it at 50% sweet and my drrink still tasted like diabetes in a cup. Recently, I tried the green milk tea with a scoop of ice cream and mini pearls. That didn’t disappoint me too much, but still definitely not my cup of tea. This location just like the Berkeley one, is small and has limited seating. So if you bring your entire squad, don’t expect to have indoor seating. There is a patio area outside, but you need to be mindful that it’s located right across from a neighborhood, therefore it’s closed by 8pm. Just things to keep in mind.

If I want something creamy, I’ll go to Gong Cha. Fruity, this is my spot. I’ve been here several times already and my favorite drinks here are the strawberry black tea with 50% sweetness, less ice and I add ice cream and boba. On cold nights I like to sip on the hot ginger milk tea. Bobalicious :)

I was really concerned about the wait when this place first opened, but that seems to have died down. Whenever I go, the wait is typically less than 5 minutes. The Creama teas are the best! I always get them with half sweetness and lychee jelly(which adds back a little sweetness). The Okinawa Milk tea is pretty tasty too, hot or cold! They also have the FiveStars reward program — a free drink for every 12 points earned.

I have been to this Sharetea location multiple times and I feel like the quality is dropping slowly but surely. I order the same drink ever time to see if there was any improvement and there wasn’t. I usually order the Okinawa Milk Tea with grass jelly, 80% sweet and less ice. The first time I had it, it was great. Perfect sweetness and everything. Now, it tastes like 30% sweet and I’m just drinking tea and creamer. I really do want to love you, I do. But I’m not coming back unless someone offers to get me a drink or for the sake of convenience.

My only complaint about this Sharetea is that it is almost never open every time I want to go at night and I have to go across the street for Gong Cha instead. I keep forgetting they close at 9pm which is way too early for a boba place IMO. The parking here is awful, so try to park in the 99 ranch plaza(next driveway over) and just walk because there’s about 7 spaces total for the 3 – 4 businesses where Sharetea is … and nobody can park in the lines. My favorite is usually some kind of black tea or toasted tea with pudding, but I’ve had other stuff before that is good. One of my favorite boba places in town!

I ate only about half of it, but was happy to take the leftovers home for the next day. Overall, it was a very good and satisfying meal — exactly what I wanted for that night. We stopped by for a drink after hearing how long the wait was at Gen K BBQ. We needed a filler for the wait. I got a milk tea with no boba. It was pretty good. You can change how high/low you want the sugar and ice level to be. I got 70% sweetness and it was perfect. Overall, it was a good milk tea. Not much of a review here… haha

Similar experience to the location near my high school in Union City. Friendly employees and cracking music. My friends Ryan J., Amy T., Alex C., and Gabriel N. always crave Sharetea. My sister Elizabeth L. and her boyfriend Anderson Y. always get their drinks here as well. I personally like their matcha green milk tea, brown sugar, and brown rice milk tea!!! I dislike their ginger milk tea, it makes me feel as if I’m tasting pepper, owwwwwwie. I still like i-Tea more, but this place is pretty good in terms of service and drinks made to order.

Finally, a boba chain worth a darn. Sharetea is a chain that originated in 1992 in Taiwan, the home of bubble tea. It’s only just started to gain a foothold in California, and this location in San Jose is the first chance that I’ve had to try them. They seem to be well-known for their creama, and I’d also heard that they offer the wonderful, sippable-through-a-normal-straw mini tapioca pearls. I decided to try both. Oolong tea creama($ 4.00), with less ice and with those mini pearls(+$ 0.50) was my order of the day. It’s a 24 oz cup, so it’s priced comparably to other shops. The creama really made the drink work. It’s a creamy, frothy substance that actually has some salt(in this instance) and traces of matcha. The overall drink feels smooth and creamy and the salt makes a difference, even if it’s not as flavorful with the creama mixed in as it is when standalone. There are negatives, unfortunately. While the tea flavor is noticeable, it isn’t very strong, even considering that the 80% sweetness(other options being 100%, 50%, 20%, 0%) may have masked it partially. Also, the mini pearls were too soft, and they formed some clumps, although the clogging of the straw was manageable if just barely. I should’ve realized that it was a bad sign when the cashier hollered at the kitchen to ask whether they still had mini boba(answer: 1 portion). It was probably a tad bit too old on this occasion. On a broader note, I’m puzzled by the lack of jasmine tea on the menu. That’s one of my favorite tea flavors, and it’s available at practically every popular bubble tea shop except for this one. Although I’ve been exploring oolong lately, I’ll always come back to jasmine, and I’m sure others will too. I do see a couple reviews citing jasmine tea, but if it’s a seasonal or hidden menu item, it’s still a glaring omission that I’ll have to look into next time. Jasmine tea or not, I will likely return to Sharetea again in the future. The creama is good, and hopefully my other favorite condiment(mini pearls) will be better.

A little pricey, but worth it for the quality. A cup here runs probably at least $ 4 like most other Bay Area establishments, but at least you get what you pay for. I believe Sharetea is a franchise from Asia, and the quality shows. The tea flavor is potent, and like most places, they allow you to customize the level of sweetness and amount of ice. The oolong tea crema with grass jelly that I had was very satisfying, and if I were in the area I’d definitely be willing to come back. Thad said, there are still cheaper options(Tea Era in Mountain View and Cupertino, and Ten Ren and Fantasia in Cupertino). If I were close to a Sharetea again in the future and in need of a quality boba fix(such as after one as taken a 400 question $ 2000+ licensing exam…), I would definitely be happy to stop by. But if I had options, I’d probably still go back to one of my(cheaper) favorites.

+2 Stars Sorry for the late update here. I am adding 2 stars because they have indeed proven to be more efficient. The wait times can still be a bit long here and there, but that is pretty common everywhere else. Lately I’ve been coming here right around 9PM, and that seems to be a pretty good time to avoid the long lines. When their parking lot is full, you have to park in the lot right across from them where Goldilocks is located. Their Classic Milk Tea with ice cream used to be my favorite drink here, however my new favorite is their Okinawa Milk Tea(Roasted Brown Sugar) with ice cream. For the past few months the drinks have been consistently good, and the all of their employees have been very friendly and helpful. This is easily one of my top 3 tea places in San Jose!

Is it my fault for customizing my own drink that it made it taste kind of weird? Ok I’ll take the fault for it. I asked the cashier if they could make a mango green milk tea with creama, and they gave it to me! So thank you for that. But it tasted really weird. The creama part was amazing but the tea itself was not good. It’s probably my fault since I should’ve ordered something normal lol. But other than that the drinks are okay and the customer service was good, I’m only giving 4 stars because I know it’s my fault LOL for trying to make my drink into a science experiment. At least they were nice about it

I think out of all the boba place I’ve been to in the Bay, this Sharetea is definitely one of the best places. Even though it’s a small grab-n-go place with no place to sit and hang out and it’s tucked away behind everything else, this place is definitely worth coming to. I came here one afternoon, after eating KBBQ and decided to try their Okinawa milk tea with pearls(which is in their top 10 drinks). Since I have always like my drinks to be more on the tea and less on the sweet side, I like to alter my sweetness level to either 50% or 30%. I was a little nervous when the cashier said the lowest they do for Okinawa was 80%. I hoped and prayed that it wouldn’t be too sweet. Turns out, it was actually pretty good. The sweetness level was acceptable and even amongst the sweet & Okinawa flavor, I could taste the tea too! The pearls was also done right! Soft, but not too soft, and chewy. Overall, Okinawa milk tea with pearls is a really good drink I want to come here again and try their other top choices! Definitely one of my favorite boba places and wish that they have one near where I live!

Came here on a Friday afternoon. Ordered a matcha red bean. Drink came out in 15 mins. I saw a lady who seemed extremely pissed and complaining at the counter while waiting for my drink. I thought to myself. wow she must be a b*$#()*$.how bad can a milk tea drink be? Welp, it turns out that lady had her right to be pissed. I was extremely disappointed with my drink. I could taste chunks of unblended ice in my watered down drink. It lacked match powder, and whoever made my drink DIDNOTKNOWHOWTOUSETHEBLENDER. It was like drinking water with blended ice. l My drink literally tastes like water! As for the red bean, I could only taste the shells. It seemed way too overcooked… For almost a $ 5 drink, I will go to other milk tea shops when i’m in the area next time.

No Bueno. Would probably never come back here, possibly(with much persuasion MAYBE) would try their other locations in SF/berk in hopes they are better. The staff here was rude and even if they were nice, their drinks would still bring me back to 1 star. SERVICE: I asked if they would recommend any specific one off their top ten and some girl who was standing their talking to her coworker turned to me and was like«that’s what the top 10 drinks list is for» and continued to talk to her coworker. UHM I KNOWTHAT that’s why I said specific one OFFOFTHATLIST. Whoever made the drinks also filled the cup so full that when I put in the straw, it was waterfalling out like crazy. I’ve seen people who spill their drinks just because they don’t know how to stick a boba straw in a sealed drink, but this was not the case, I know how to stick straws in boba drinks and this cup was just way too full. DRINKS: I went with the Hokkaido caramel toffee milk tea w/egg pudding & pearls, and the mango green tea creama. Creama was not comparable to gong cha at all! Just go across the street to get real creama. This one did not blend in with the tea at all. The Hokkaido caramel was worst, the entire tea and the egg pudding tasted chemically/soapy. No caramel toffee flavor nor any tea flavor whatsoever not even a bit. I tried really hard to take a second sip, but after that I was done trying. Crossed off my list, not only just disappointed, but pretty upset at the whole thing.

I first tried Sharetea at their first location in San Mateo and was happy that they had opened another location closer to me. Drinks are definitely hit or miss here. I’ve tried their crema drinks and the matcha green tea with red bean at the San Mateo location and remember enjoying them. I love bring able to customize the sweetness and ice level for drinks. The last time I was here, I ordered the fresh taro and milk(which is on their top 10 list). They use fresh taro and milk and not the artificial stuff or powdered milk. During my second visit, I tried the honey aloe vera at 50% sweetness and it tasted very watered down. I would probably skip this drink in the future. Note: Five star account accepted
