I bought the engineered hardwood floors from this store and the owner highly recommended the installer, Dung Tran, to me. Wow, what an incompetent this guy is and double wow that the owner HIGHLY recommended him.
During the workday, the installer disappeared and left the work to his workers who were not that experienced. He delayed the work over one week. He does not read English therefore when we used grout that he was not familiar with he didn’t know how to mix it even when we translated to him. So he messed up our backsplash. We had to redo it. Then, because he was not there, his worker put the stove on a trolley and rolled it on the newly kitchen floor and caused scratches everywhere. He promised to fix it, but as soon as he found out that it was not that easy as he confidently said so, he no showed to the day he promised to come. We kind of expected it from such an irresponsible scoundrel like him. I was not surprised at all.
When he replaced my oven hood and sink faucet, he took the items. I didn’t realize he did it until I looked for them. I asked and he said he dumped them in the the trash. Those item are pretty new. He probably installed them in his home already :)
The downstairs floor was all over with glue when he was done and it took 2 workers for two days to clean it up. Before the job, he was like, «I am so good that there will be no glue on the floor when I am done». Ha ha…
Please do yourself a favor and don’t even ask the owner for a referral, especially his highly recommendation of Mr. Dung Tran. As his name means in English, dung :) He is one stinky contractor.
