Not bad at all! What I had after a long day: /Smoky split pea soup — definitely recommend. /Tomato bisque — a little sweet and a little weird tasting. /Cold pasta salad — recommend but could use more seasoning. ++ Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Think salads, soups and wraps. ++ Each dish was around 8 $. It is at the airport so I am not complaining! – Can’t really vouch for the freshness of the ingredients. – Line moves slowly. There was only one guy making the salad and billing.

I had eaten about half of my salad which was perfectly fine, up until I found a hair in it. It looked like it was wrapped around the edamame. Ughhh… gag! Never again!

Save this venue — Terminal B — Mineta San Jose international Airport. I am a frequent traveler, and I do same day trip from LAX — SJC at least once every month. Airport restaurants are always great on taste, but we never really bother to see if its healthy. We need a a quick bite and the restaurants cater well to that. Surprise Surprise, This small little place stands out tall amidst a very busy sushi place and Mexican joint on one side and Jamba juice on the other. They primarily serve 3 things: Soup, Salad and Wraps and they do very well. There is a salad station from where you pick your choice of cheese and veggies and greens and its all fresh. Their dressings are great as well. I have tried most of their salads I love the Asian chicken salad. But I am fan of their soups. They come in three sizes, Small, regular and Big. Wide range of soups, I esp love their Mexican chicken soup with tortillas and cheese, it beautiful, flavorful, filling and healthy. They also have soup of the day. The last time i was there — i tried their Indian chicken Tikka soup. It was the best i have had, I commend the chef for beautifully bringing out the flavor of Indian spices yet keeping the consistency of the soup perfectly. They also serve soups on Sourdough bread. Sometimes i felt the bread was a bit too dry and chewy but overall full marks to the taste and flavor. Definitely a must try if you are visitng or in transit via San Jose.

Great healthy choices for the airline traveler. Numerous soup, salad, and wrap choices. Their tomato soup, which I had served in a fresh Sourdough bowl, was delicious. Crew are friendly. Highly recommend!

The chicken Caesar salad was excellent! Freshly made to order and not that creamy Caesar dressing but instead what tasted like authentic Caesar. Had the vegetarian split pea too and it was great. Healthy alternative to traditional airport food.

Bland but not terrible corn chowder soup. Filthy tables, overflowing trash. Will not be back there.

I absolutely hate eating at airports because it is always overpriced and the food is always mediocre. However, as I was walking around the terminal to get some grub before I left to Vegas, I came upon this salad and soup spot. The guy helping me out was super friendly and hooked it up fat for me. I opted for the chicken caesar salad with some sourdough bread on the side. I absolutely loved the freshness of the salad and how soft the sourdough bread was. Overall, if I need to get something healthy and delicious when at the airport, I’m definitely going to this spot.

If you have time or waiting for your flight, grab some soup or a salad. You can create your own concoction, with fresh items. Choice of 4 for a great price. Generous portions. I love it!

Meh. I struggled with how I felt with this place since it really is one of the only(maybe THE only) truly healthy spot to grab a bite to eat at the airport. I got the Asian chicken salad, and a lot of it tasted a bit old, but I’m not sure if «fresh» is the first thing that I think of in regards to airport food anyway… The chicken was pretty bad in the salad, but it was sort of edible so I worked my way through it.

It’s hard to find a healthy meal in any airport, and I suggest this for anybody looking for a quality pre, post, in flight salad. The veggies are fresh and the salad is tossed and blended with dressing in a bowl for you… pleasantly surprised. Excellent choice for the salad person needing food in an airport setting About $ 11

I love soup and salad places. Love when I find a really good big bowl of soup at an airport. So here I am flying out of SJC and realise that a new place opened called Soup & Salad Station. I check out the menu and opt for a big bowl of Turkey Chili. The chili looks good and the owner is super nice at checkout. She explained how she used to own the Chinese restaurant formerly in this spot. So I sit down to enjoy my chili. Problem is the chili was mediocre. I usually like Turkey chili on the chunky side fresh with veggies, etc. What I got was the product Campbells puts in a can. If the owner were not a total sweetheart I would give this joint 1 or 2 stars. But the folks here are nice and trying their very best to be successful. So I am giving them 3 stars and will try them again in a week or two. There is a really good soup restaurant at SFO airport near the United gates. Hopefully in time these guys will assimilate that business model.

When you’re starving and need something that doesn’t taste like it’s from a grocery store or sits in a puddle of grease this is the place to stop. SJC has a small variety of healthyish choices when it comes to food. There’s burritos, burgers, sushi, San Jose Joe’s, Pete’s etc. Having tried all of those at least once, I wanted something more appealing so I perused the menu here and waited in line. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a small tomato bisque. Soup: The tomato bisque was pretty sweet and watery. It didn’t have a creamy, soup texture. The small soup is NOT small. It’s huge(!!) and costs about $ 8. I couldn’t eat more than ¼ of it. This brought me to think of my next app idea, but that’s for another day. Salad: In the medium sized salad, there were more total croutons(uneaten) than chicken. The lettuce was semi plentiful. The chicken is processed, it’s not a «real» chicken breast. Soup + Salad: The entire meal was almost $ 20. Even though it’s expensive, I wouldn’t expect any less in price from a place that sells food at an airport. All the greens looked fresh. +1 for having solid vegetarian options including tofu. The lady behind the counter let me sample a soup and was patient while I decided what I wanted. Her service was fast, efficient, and friendly. On the go, this is your best bet in SJC.

Preamble: there aren’t a lot of options for getting a cheap quick bite at most small airports, including SJC. In Terminal B, if I remember correctly, there are a sushi counter, a mexican place, a burger, and this soup and salad place. Your options are further limited if you want to avoid tons of meat and grease. So, I decided on the Soup & Salad Station. The price, like other places next to it, is definitely priced higher than the same stuff outside of an airport. I got a small chicken noodle soup(which costed between 6 – 7 bucks) and it was hot and seasoned right. They actually had the noodles store in a container near the salad, rather than leaving them in the soup to prevent them from getting soggy. So that’s a nice gesture. The roll that came with the soup, however, was stale and dry, and I didn’t see any butter for it(although I didn’t ask for it). Giving it 2 stars because I’ve experienced better, mainly outside of an airport. But if you rate the food using airport quick bites standard, it could be a 3 star.

You have probably walked past this place dozens of times. KEEPWALKINGPAST. The soup was horrible and the salad was limp bagged greens and watery tasteless veggies.
