Suddath moved our household goods from Livermore to Austin Texas in Jan 2016 and Joey and his team who picked our stuff up and delivered it in Austin did a flawless job. The team was professional, warm, and not one item was damaged in the move. Trust Suddath for all your moving needs. The customer service reps, Emily and Keith, were equally efficient.

Suddath was a great partner in our move from the Bay Area to Washington DC [big move!]. They were always prompt, handled our items with care, and are very obviously customer service oriented. I’d highly recommend working with them for a move near or far.

Suddath moved us from San Jose to San Diego in Sept 2015, and everything went very smoothly. This move was coordinated by a 3^rd party corporate moving company, and Suddath was the mover.
We had packing services, and they came to our house right at the start of the window given — I believe it was 8:00am — 9:00am. I think it helps to be the first person serviced that day, for timeliness — since it’s hard for them to get precise on how long it will take them for a job.
They packed everything neatly and carefully. They used a ton of packing paper, so we ended up with a bajillion boxes — despite getting rid of half our stuff before the move!
The supervisor that was there for packing day was great — I believe his name was Jimmy. He helped me cut down some cardboard boxes that had been sitting in my garage for months.
For the moving and load day, they came on time and everyone was quick and efficient.
For unload, it was another team and they also worked very hard and were very respectful.
At the end of the move, I thought that they had lost one box filled with pillows and a comforter. However, I came to find that those items were unpacked (we had unpackers) into this closet that I didn’t ever access.
Overall, it was a job well-​done.

These guys were great, from Keith Rocha who helped with the consult and estimates, to Emily Holm who helped coordinate the move to Joey and crew who helped us move are to be commended. I would definitely use this company for ll future needs. I would without hesitation recommend these guys!

Had a really great experience with Suddath moving across the country from NYC to LA. Emily the representative was incredible, kept me updated on timing and status of when everything was happening, costs, etc. Completely recommend this service to anyone looking to do a major move. 5 out of 5 stars all around.

They arrived right on time, the crew was very quick and respectful on my belonging. They did a great job packing and got the weight just right. Upon receipt in London not a single item was damaged. Wonderful dealing with management and they exceeded all expectations. Would recommend them to anyone doing a international move!

The 2 guys who came to pack and load the goods were running late but their reasons were genuine. They came and loaded the boxes and wrapped furniture with diligence. Very professional and courteous.
2. Excellent service from coordinator in San Jose office: Emily Holm
She kept me upto date on when my household were to leave their warehouse for final destination. Again very professional and answers emails promptly when I asked her questions.
3. Waiting now for my delivery at the destination .
Update: The delivery was as promised within the window. In fact it was sooner
Again Emily contacted and provided the details, the driver in his big truck called ahead and came early morning .
Unloaded and assembled the furniture within 2 hrs and was off
They were again professional on delivery side .
Couldn’t have been better experience .
No damages and nothing lost.

We were moved to the Bay Area for my husband’s job so the company he works for choose Suddath. Our shipment from the East Coast was put into storage for one week. At delivery, we found our entertainment center and a desk broken, a bookcase in pieces and many of our smaller items broken. They also lost a large area rug with padding, large kitchen mat and a 15 y/​o framed picture. The delivery crew was very friendly and worked hard, but we are extremely disappointed with the condition our household goods arrived in. I would not recommend this company.

If I could give zero stars then I would! I am relocating for work from Chicago to San Francisco and Suddath was hired to do my move. My belongings were scheduled to be dropped off to San Francisco on September 5^th. On September 4^th I received notice that the shipment has been delayed and that a drop off would be scheduled for the following week. At this point I was slightly annoyed but incidents happen so didn’t think too much of it. A few days later I received a call saying a drop off was scheduled for September 11^th between 8−10AM. I requested to work from home that day to handle the move however the morning of September 11^th, around 9AM, I receive a call saying that the drop off has been delayed once again and they wouldn’t know until Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week when they can re-​schedule. At this point I was furious because I couldn’t get answers as to why and thought this company was extremely unprofessional with how they handled my case.
Today I received a phone call saying that they have now LOST my stuff. My entire shipment has been misplaced and they are not sure where it is and no one from the company can provide any answers as to why or how this happened.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER OWNED!!!

Suddath did a really good job to help move our office. The project manager came to meet with our team and talked through all the action items. When the movers showed up they were ready to go. They were fast, efficient and careful. We would recommend Suddath movers for any office move!

We were moved from Minnesota to northern CA by Suddath. The Minnesota packing and moving crew were great. The only thing that I regret on that end was that I responded honestly when the packers asked what I had that was «high value». Little did I know that that was a neon sign for someone at the California end to steal the box. It wasn’t just high value in terms of replacement value, it was also high value in terms of sentiment. It was my mother’s sterling silver flatware. She and my father did not grow up with much and she badly wanted sterling silverware. So, at her request, each of her family and friends gave individual pieces, which was all they could afford, for shower and wedding gifts. We used that silverware for all family holidays my entire life. She entrusted it to me when she died to pass along to the next generation.
I remained in Minnesota to close on our house while my husband was on the California end to receive the movers. The list of boxes they gave him did not indicate which were high value. There were multiple guys bringing in tons of boxes and calling out numbers for him to check off. Someone called out the number for that box, so he, of course, checked it off. It is no where in our house. It is gone. We paid for full replacement value insurance but, of course, the claim was denied because he had checked off that box. Perhaps indicative of these crooks is that they brought out a canopy set up that was not ours. My husband said to them that this wasn’t ours and the guy actually said that we should just keep it anyway! Crooks!

‘Suddath Relocation Systems of Northern California, Inc.’ (United Van Lines) has been the worst movers and packers for me.
If I start listing down all their complaints it would easily take 1 – 2 pages. Just highlighting few here:
They did not carry any ‘Shrink wraps’ with them (in spite of me telling them a number of times before). That’s what they promised when the sales guy showed up. Moreover that’s the basic steps. How can one get that wrong? But they did! Even after complaining them on the day of load about it the crew was hesitant to go back and get the shrink wrap.
The ‘Furniture pads’ were so dirty it seems like they hadn’t been cleaned since ages (I could literally see dirt particles sticking to them). And these guys who call themselves ‘professional movers and packers’ started wrapping my furniture including my Sofa, loveseat with those dirty furniture pads. I had to ask them to stop. And I had to go out and get a shrink wrap myself to protect my furniture.
During the loading time they misplaced one of my boxes which they were not ready to accept. The ‘loading crew’ manager (Daniel) was not ready to accept it. Arrogance. And even without verifying it they sent the ‘Shuttle’ to their warehouse. As a result I had to travel to their warehouse in Sunnyvale and help them trace that ‘missing box’ (luckily which I finally got).
On the day of load I wanted to change the coverage to ‘Basic coverage’ (as compared to the full coverage which I had initially opted). This was in line with ‘valuation change’ clause that they had on their ‘Bill of Lading’ document.
But their ‘move coordinator’ (Emily) says I can’t do that. She says that she doesn’t care what the paper says but I can’t do that.
They were indeed a group of jerks!
Would never recommend them again to anyone. If I wanted this kind of service I would have gone ahead with a ‘cheap’ movers and packers. There was no point in paying them a premium (close to $ 2k) for a 1 bedroom move from Santa Clara, CA.

From the initial walk through to the actual move in process, things went really great with Suddath. Their pricing was really fair and competitive, they were thorough and their movers were a great group of guys who actually enjoyed their jobs! Everyone was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were having a good experience.
I would highly recommend Suddath for a smooth move! :-)

I do not recommend this mover. One of the unloaders literally walked off the job after carrying the first load. We had to help unload our own furniture while waiting for the unloader to be replaced. Harold (the remaining unloader) was wonderful… not his fault the other guy walked off. The uncraters kept scheduling afternoon appointments for 3 days, would not show up and totally screwed up our work schedules. The move coordinator had NO CLUE that our furniture even delivered. On top of that, they charged us an additional $ 16. Do NOT hire this mover…

Suddath relocation systems helped me recently relocate from Chicago to San Francisco. I had less than one month’s notice that I was moving, so had to plan accordingly and efficiently. With the help of Suddath, I was able to schedule for the movers to pick up in under 2 weeks, as well as drop off shortly 2 weeks after.
I worked with Carla and she was fantastic and very attentive! She helped me from start to finish: she walked through the contract with me, helped me schedule all of the steps to the process, as well as constantly kept me updated with the status of my shipment.
Thanks to her and Suddath my move was seamless. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a company that is fast, efficient, and very friendly!

Suddath recently packed and moved us from Houston to the Bay Area as part of a relocation package provided by my wife’s employer. The packing team, loading team, and unloading team did everything we would expect of them. This is the third time we have relocated and the third different moving company we have experienced. Suddath did completed each phase of the move quickly and professionally. There were a few items that were broken in transit, but nothing you wouldn’t expect when across the country.
Our move coordinator also did a great job staying in contact with us to let us know when we could expect the packers, movers, and delivery. They worked with us to provide a convenient delivery time even when we had some delays in closing on the new house. Finally, they even came back 2 months after we had moved in to collect all of the packing paper and moving boxes that we did not have the space to store.
All in all, Suddath lived up to what we would expect out of a full-​service moving company, and we don’t have any complaints.

I would have been better off hiring random people off the street to move my stuff. I’m only giving them one star in order to post this comment.
This is my second move in two years and my last experience with another company was extremely positive. This time, my company paid for the move with Suddath.
Suddath San Jose arrived an hour late, then unloaded into my home boxes for another household (only after I began opening boxes discovered they were not my belongings… they were clueless), they had to locate all my stuff, haphazardly unloaded items into my home that were clearly marked for the storage unit, forgot to bring tools to assemble my furniture and thats only tip of the iceberg!
There was no method or training apparent to me. They flat out refused to move pieces into certain rooms, claiming they wouldn’t fit based in their eyeballing the space… they did fit (I measured), but I had to firmly insist they try.
There was nothing laid on my floors to protect them as I’d been promised. Horrible horrible horrible experience.
I will never again hire this company. The coordinators are friendly and seem on top of things. They made promises that set expectations in my mind about how things would be done, but the actual employees handling my things were clueless and there was nothing to change or help improve that problem on they day of my move.

I’ve moved between cities six times, including two international moves. Our move from Pasadena to San Francisco in July 2012 was handled by Sudduth and was _​by far_​the worst move I’ve experienced, ever.
The crew that handled the Pasadena end were the sloppiest, most careless, and most inconsiderate team I’ve ever encountered:
1. We gave them sandwiches for lunch, and they took a loaded (!) wardrobe box, turned it on its side, and used it as a dining table, covering it with food stains.
2. They did a terrible job of packing, leaving a number of items unprotected during the move.
3. They damaged the house and numerous items on the way out.
4. When it came time to remove our Yamaha digital piano, one worker simply wedged a dolly under the middle pedals, causing the center to crack.
Even after I pointed out the all of the damage that they had caused, they still badgered us for a tip.
When the items arrived on the SF end, three boxes were missing, including one containing an expensive amplifier. These were never found. A number of other items were damaged. Over a year later I’m still upset about the experience.
The one bright spot was that the relocation package included replacement cost insurance, and the claims department handled the sizable claim efficiently and without resistance.
To be fair, I never would have chosen Suddath if I were arranging the move, but it was the relocation partner selected by the major SF tech firm that was hiring me, so I had little choice.
