My go-to place whenever i’m craving for some milkteas. Hot Roasted olong tea topped with crema is my most favorite. Half sweet is a must to me

At this point in time, T4 is my favorite place to get boba drinks in the area. I come here for the variety of drinks they offer and so far, all the ones I’ve tried have been good. Jasmine milk tea, matcha milk tea, caramel milk tea, just to name a few of the drinks I’ve tried. There are just so many I need to try! Their boba surprised me. So soft and chewy. They offer snacks too, which earns more points from me. Their popcorn chicken is seasoned well and is pretty juicy. Sweet potato fries are standard. It’s always crowded here whenever I go, but I still feel like the line moves at a relatively decent pace compared to say, Gong Cha or Fantasia. Among all the recent boba stores setting up shop around here, T4 is my current favorite. They have all the things I look for in a boba place: variety, good drinks, and snacks.

Eh. This place isn’t so bad after all, but not THAT amazing either. My initial visit really turned me off, but I’ve been stopping by recently since it’s one of the few milk tea joints that I know sells egg puffs. I like the oolong tea with sea salt cream from here; it’s pretty on point. There’s a big seating area, so you can hang out with your friends and play Jenga or whatever. The area is kind of sketchy. There was a shooting at the liquor store in that plaza awhile ago, so be careful if you go at night. Other than that, T4 is an alright place to get your boba fix.

Came here earlier tonight around 630p & there was a line that could have been outside the door. No big deal, we waited anyways because I liked how decent this Boba spot is & the fact that you can customize the sweetness/ice level to your liking. Waited in line for almost 10 min & finally got to order. Ordered a Large Wintermelon milk tea with pearls + egg puffs. The total the cashier told me was about $ 8.30? $ 8.50?, so I paid with my debit card. I didn’t get a chance to look at my receipt. But we proceeded to wait almost half an hour for our egg puffs and my milk tea. I liked the sweetness of my drink & the pearls, but the drink almost tasted like a floral earl grey MT than Wintermelon that I’ve had at other locations before… But it was good nonetheless. The egg puffs were perfectly crunchy on the outside and puffy & chewy in the inside. I got home & as usual, I check my bank account & it says T-4 charged me $ 10.30. Uhm, I don’t remember leaving a tip. How is 1 bag of egg puffs and a Large Wintermelon milk tea equal to that much? $ 3.50 for a Wintermelon .50c for pearls .50c for an upgrade & $ 4.95 for egg puffs. That doesn’t add up. Beware & attentive to your receipts, they add hidden fees or take out tips from your card. Not sure if I wanna come back because this place was growing on me :/If I intend to come back, pay with cash…

The milk tea and boba are solid. Definitely not comparable to the likes of Ten Ren or Fremont Gong Cha, but better than places like Quickly’s and Tap Ex(do they still exist???). T4 compares to the other milk tea spots around the ESSJ area like Cha Time, Sharetea, Gong Cha, etc. Pricing is fair for the quality. Biggest complaints are that the boba is firmer than other spots and the sweetness is inconcistent(tends to lean too sweet, even at 50%). The workers seem pretty young and inexperienced, but always very nice and provide great service. There are waves of large groups(high schoolers and late night hangouts) and customers get really rude about it lol. What do you expect tho??? It doesn’t have the crazy hype of other places and has more space than Sharetea or Gong Cha, which makes it a nice place to hang out. There’s board games, adequate seating, and Popeye’s is next door(half the customers always have chicken from there).

It’s great to have a milk tea place closer to the alum rock area. Definitely convenient. I’ve been here a few times to hang out with my friends. They have games and the limited edition bay area cards against humanity which is nice. I have tried their potted milk tea which is oreo crumbs on top of milk tea(not something else). I also have tried their wintermelon milk tea. I absolutely love the wintermelon milk tea. I can’t usually find this drink but when I do, it never fails. Their drinks are good but I’m not too sure about their food. My friend and I came here an hour before they closed. Most of the other food options were listed as sold out so my friend decided to order egg puffs after having seen just seen an order being made. The cashier told us they ran out of that as well… bummer. My friend really wanted to try it. It is understandable that since the workers are most likely high school students that they want to clean up and go home. Still, I would expect them being able to sell food before they close. If you decide to come around 2 – 3 pm on school days, expect a lot of high school/middle school students rolling in. The blinds don’t necessarily help block out the sun and you can basically feel yourself sizzle and melt in your seat sometimes.

I will not be back. I came here with my boyfriend because we were craving milk tea after a delicious lunch. We wanted to try this place out since it was close to us and haven’t had the chance to come here yet. When we were deciding what to order, we asked the guy at the register what was the difference between a redbean milk tea and a red bean smoothie and which he recommended more. He could not answer a simple question. I decided to go for the oolong roasted milk tea and my boyfriend got the red bean smoothie. We took our first sip as we walked out the door and immediately, we both knew we were never coming back again. I’ve never threw away a drink before. My roasted oolong milk tea tastes almost close to ice water. It was literally drinking brown colored water. My boyfriend’s red bean smoothie was watery and tasteless as well.

I’m literally writing this review as I leave the store. This place is awful and my drinks taste like ass. My gf and I ordered the oolong tea and the red bean smoothie and were dissapointed to taste nothing water and blended ice. Literally the oolong taste like water and ice and my red bean smoothie taste like blended ice with 1 redbean. I can’t even fathom how you could mess up a drink this bad. Quickly and tapioca express blow this place out the water. Sewage drain blows this place out the water. Back wash might potentially blow this place out the water. This place is a bigger scam than a pyramid scheme. The service is as bad as the drinks. I asked the cashier if the redbean milk tea was a regular milk tea with red beans in it or if they used a specific milk tea and he couldn’t even answer me. He just said he didn’t know. T4 here’s a tip: close down.

Pros: 1. Their food smelled delicious and looked very well worth the price for the amount they give you/the way the food looks itself(looks super fresh and cooked perfectly). I didn’t try any of their food but was extremely tempted after smelling what other people ordered. They sell tea eggs, waffles/egg puffs, popcorn chicken, fries, etc. To-go boxes extra charge of 10 cents. 2. Clean location, bathroom was clean as well 3. Really nice cashier – our cashier was really nice, the service overall is great except they take FOREVER. 4. Board games for guests. They have board games on top of the trash can by the door: connect four, cards against humanity, janga, cards, etc. Everything looked like they were of ok condition – all pieces were present for the games we played with. 5. Boba pearls. Cons: 1. We came in around 2 on a Saturday and they had three workers: one as the cashier, one making drinks, and one making food in the back. They took forever. There was three people ahead of my group, about 9 people in my group alone, and 2 more groups behind us… I believe all in all it took almost 20+ minutes of waiting before we even ordered! It seriously felt forever. 2. My drink(Royal Milk Tea with boba and pudding, 30% ice &50% sweet) sucked! It felt like I was drinking water with some flavorless pudding & boba pearls. 3. Pudding. Normally pudding has a nothing flavor overall but it still has a taste – a little sweet and sometimes a little vanilla(fav pudding at Gong Cha) but their pudding tasted like nothing! It also had no texture so sometimes I couldn’t even tell if I got pudding in my drink. Overall, for the long wait the drinks were not worth at all. In the words of Meeeegan«it was okaaaay.»

Okay you win T4. This is my current boba spot. I’ve been here so many times, it’s time for a review. Parking: TONS. It’s located in a shopping center, right next to Popeyes. If you’re having issues parking– you’re probably lost and should double check your location. :P Service: Always super friendly people at the counter. They always smile and greet me when I come in and are extremely patient when I’m ordering. Drinks come out pretty fast too! Drinks: — Royal Milk Tea: My favorite and go-to drink when I’m there. 50% sweet! — Ginger Milk Tea: Served hot with tiny ginger chunks. Tastes so good when I have a cold. — Red Bean Milk Tea: Pretty sure that this is just regular milk tea with red beans as a topping. Skip. — Mango tea with cream. Meh. Skip. No tea flavor at all. Seats: Do you have a big group? Come here. There is always plenty of seating! I’m so glad that I can bring a bunch of people and chill without having to fight for tiny tables or have people stand awkwardly around. Yay! Misc: They have happy hour starting at 8pm!

T4 is cognizant of the reviews on Unilocal and aims to make every customer satisfied. I came back today and asked that my ginger milk tea come out correctly and they immediately recognized my previous review. They offered to keep an eye on my order as well as offered it on the house today to make up for my last visit. T4’s commitment to customer satisfaction as well as quality teas(real tea leaves vs powder) make it worth coming back to!

Highlights — It’s nice to have this location open up in the same plaza as Lucky, Popeyes, Carls Jr. and other small stores. Double props for being open on Christmas Day. — Earl grey milk tea: This is a classic that I can always count on to be consistent at this and other locations. Improvements — Honey peach royal tea with aloe: Is my go to drink at the Fremont location, but when I tried this here, it just didn’t taste right or the same. Only 50% sweetness offered if you want to customize your drink. — Since it was pretty crowded, line system was not clear and there are people crowded near the pick-up area along with the end of the line. Tips — They offer stamp cards, make sure to ask for one. Buy 10 get 1 free. — They have happy hour later in the evening with cheaper drinks and food, which will allow you to get a bang for your buck.

I have been here a few times and my first few times were 4 star experiences, but I went again yesterday and oh boy… where to begin? Their popcorn chicken which is normally crispy and delish, was very soft and missing that fry that I was expecting. Now on to the BIG issue. I ordered 2 milk teas, 1 earl gray milk tea and 2 other regular tea flavors. The cashier had a thick accent and had a hard time understanding me so I repeated myself many times and he asked me about my order many times. I would get to like my third drink and then he would ask me to restart my order hahaha That did not really bother me because at least he was focused on getting my order right… or so I thought. The drinks came out and I see that there are 3 earl gray milk teas. I told the cashier and the worker and they kept telling me that the earl gray WAS their regular milk tea. Let’s be real here… they just did not want to remake the drinks. How is earl gray and regular milk tea the same? Why would you have regular milk AND earl gray on the menu? …also…i drink a LOT of boba and earl gray and regular milk tea do NOT taste the same. That is like saying plain black tea and earl gray tea taste the same… The winter melon tea which was supposed to be 30% sweet tasted like there was full sugar in it. We ended up asking for a water cup and pouring half of it out and pouring regular tea into the winter melon and water cup containing the other half of the winter melon. The flavor was good, but the sweetness was messed up. Advice to management: if your cashier/workers mess up the drink, don’t just lie to the customers. Please remake the drink.

Came here with the nieces for a weLL deserved snack and drink break– they had been up aLL morning cLeaning up after our Thanksgiving shindig. It was my first time coming here and I was not impressed one bit. The guy at the register seemed to have an issue understanding English? or maybe he just wasn’t aLL there in the head? We pLaced our order for togo with: –Jasmine MiLk Tea with mini pearLs. no ice. and I asked if they couLd sweeten it more than 0 but under 30% since the person drinking this was Lightweight diabetic. The guy said they normaLLy didn’t do it but with our speciaL case, he wouLd make it work. YAY! –Jasmine MiLk Tea with Grass JeLLy. no ice. sweetened 30% –Jasmine MiLk Tea. no ice. no add ons. sweetened 30% –BasiL Popcorn Chicken(2) This is what we got: The MT with mini pearLs was not sweetened at aLL and was extremeLy bitter. MT with Grass JeLLy was super skimp on the jeLLy compared to other pLaces. MT with no add ons didn’t taste Like it was sweetened at aLL and this too was bitter. BasiL Popcorn was skimp but tastey– You’re better off visiting and ordering this during HH since you get a discount. paying fuLL price for something so smaLL is whack! We pretty much had to add our own sugar at home. WTF man!!!

Yay for happy hour!(8-close) If I can get a large Jasmine milk tea for $ 3.75, I consider that a steal! Quality wise, it’s pretty good and satisfies my craving so I’ll be coming back frequently especially because I live nearby. I’ve tried their egg puffs and they were ehhhhhhh… Not bad, but not something I would crave. I probably should have gotten the popcorn chicken.

T4 I will definitely be coming back! The first time I came, I was like oh ok its aight. My peppermint milk tea wasn’t that great. And I LOVE peppermint. I told myself I didn’t like their place but I tried again the second time, avoiding the peppermint and Got a foamy green tea instead! And it was really good! It was not too sweet, just the right amount of tea! What compelled me to give them 4 stars instead of 3 is that I had a really good experience coming the second time thanks to our cashier Adrian I believe? The first time I came, the cashier did not offer any samples and wasn’t very eager to help. But the second time we came in, the cashier helped explain the menu and offered us samples and was really patient with my demanding girlfriends! The drinks are pretty decent, but the customer service really won me over! I’ll be coming back!

Pros Yogurt Green Tea: I particularly go here for their yogurt green tea, it’s a drink that has a sour taste which is good when I need a drink besides milk tea. However do order this drink with a minimum of 50% sugar since it’s more on the sugary side. I also tried their original milk tea and flavored fruit teas which were just okay. Popcorn Chicken: their coating was crunchy and you can also choose how spicy you want your chicken to be. Service: I went here during opening week and just recently and service is still super friendly. Cons Prices: the prices here are a little more expensive than their competitors within the area.

I’m going to be slight harsh here. Maybe it was an off day for them. And maybe I should round up to 2.5, which doesn’t exist, but for me, especially because there are so many other good tea places around, this is a 2. Came here expecting a bit more. More maybe a lot more. And I hope I’m not letting that cloud my judgement. I’ve heard good things from several people about t4, grants not this particular store, but they should be similar right? At the suggestion of one of the workers, we ordered the royal something or other. Had I know what it really was going to taste like I would have ordered something else. It was a bit floral. Almost like drinking really diluted perfume that your auntie wore in the 90s. Ok, not quite, but that is what I’m going with. The pearls were not good. I like them soft and chewy with a slightly firm center. These were just blah! Way over done. It was like mush. Again, probably just an off night. Maybe it is a new team working here. Maybe I’ll give them another chance, since I fill up gas at the gas station in this plaza, but for now, I’ll stick with gong cha, jas tea and share tea(in no particular order).

T4 opened up 2 months ago and lately I’ve been into milk tea. So, finally I decided to stop by and give it a shot. The place is average just like other boba hot spots. There are several boba hot spots in the area that I’m considering on drinking less sugary drinks. These boba drinks can be so addicting because they are delicious and have so much flavor. Since, T4 has just opened up I would say that this place isn’t too bad. The staff were nice enough to let me have a taste of the tapioca pearls. Preferably, I like the tapioca pearls soft. There are other places that serve them kinda hard which I hate. When I walked in, the place was empty but there were a few customers walking in and out after I ordered. I guess I brought the customers!!! Lol. I ordered the Okinawa Milk Tea which is $ 3.50 for a regular size but with pearls added it came out to be $ 4.35 with tax. This place is expensive I must say. I’d rather go to iTea or Bambu. I wouldn’t be coming here again that’s for sure.

A happy hour that I can actually make? I’m so there! Décor here is very pleasingly based on the quintessential Tiffany blue and service is incredibly sweet(the cashier is literally telling people to hang in there for«seven more minutes until everything is a lot cheaper» when happy hour starts at 8pm). Also drinks are made super fast. I literally walked from the register and sat down for under 30 seconds before my drink was ready. I was recommended the kumquat lemon when I asked for something warm, light, and fruity. It’s perfect for calming my nervous stomach. The lighting is nice and bright, plus there are a few outlets along the back wall. Crowds here are generally on the quiet side so I imagine you could bring your laptop and study(or whatever lol) here if you wanted… AHHHFINALLYHAPPYHOURISHERE! I rush to the counter and put in my order for popcorn chicken(level 3 spice, baby!) and some egg puffs. I get them in under 7 min and now I’m just a happy child with all the delicious hot snacky food I could ever want. Notes: Level 3 spice(the spiciest you can get the chicken) is perfect for a spice crazed chick like me. Great chili powder kick, but not painful even when the fresh outta the fryer. Egg puff portion is HUGEEEE! I used to pay almost $ 5 for half this much at Shooting Star in Oakland. During HH here the puffs and chicken are only $ 3.50! Also, they had a constant stream of kpop playing. Made me feel totally at home, lol. Will definitely be back soon!
