These tacos are the BOMB.COM!!! I always order the pastor tacos and my bf always gets the tripa. We have never been disappointed. Excellent food, great price, and good customer service.

Best $ 1 tacos in the south bay. I don’t normally like Carnitas, but here it’s a different story. I’ll drive all the way here from Cupertino to get my taco fix. That means a lot to me.

Delicious tacos, $ 1.25 each — had cabeza(beef head), carnitas, asada, and pastor. The asada(or was it cabeza?) was the best: it was really savory and grilled to perfection. It even was a little crispy in some places which I really appreciate. It’s the kind of authentic street texture only available with really good taco trucks (Never mind Chipotle!) All the other options were equally memorable too, and tasted well-balanced and flavorful(especially the spicy pastor!!!) $ 1 tamarind or horchata drink is available. I chose the latter and it was just the right level of sweet(the cup is iced in a small 10 ouncer though) Service was flawless, fantastic tacos, it’s in a ghetto area but really quite worth it – A+++

Favorite Mexican food truck. I’m a vegetarian and a lot of Mexican food trucks make boring ass veg burritos/tacos. This place makes them BOMB though. Their salsa is amazing. My bf loves their tacos too :)

All the tacos I tried were good: Beef head, Tongue, steak, and tripe. Very cheap and fast service! Some are $ 1.75 and some are $ 1.25.

This is the first review I’ve ever written. Yesterday at around 1pm I ordered 5 steak tacos $ 6.25, by 2:30 pm I felt light headed and sick. Shortly after my stomach started turning, yup food poisoning! Never again!!!

This will be the last time I ever go to this truck when I’m in town. I went there yesterday afternoon and had great service but ended up getting food poisoning after eating the steak tacos. Not only did the tacos get me sick, they weren’t good. Definitely not worth getting food poisoning over. The meat was bland and the tortillas were way too dry. Even the pickled carrots didn’t have much flavoring. The best thing there was the service and the salsa.

Update to 5 stars! My 2nd time around was much better than the 1st! I feel as though the meat was so much more tender & it was definitely worth the last minute drive for me! Loved every last bit of each & every taco I devoured lmao They did raise the cost abt 10 cents, but it’s all good! They’re still the cheapest in San Jose & very good quality too!!!

$ 1 tacos? sure why not. i’ve been wanting to try this place out. i always get gas at the shell station and often wondered how tasty this place was. finally did today and boy i’m glad. pretty tasty and juicy. i tried their pastor and pollo. really enjoyed both. for $ 1, can’t really complain. if you wanted extra veggie, it is just add’l $ 0.25 and i think i’ll do that next time!

The tacos here aren’t too bad and are really cheap! Their regular tacos are $ 1.00 and the tripas are $ 1.50. The pastor here is good but I’ve had better elsewhere. I’ve never had tripas anywhere else, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I still enjoyed it. It’s crispy and chewy at the same time. Definitely different than anything else I’ve ever had, but in a good way!

Probably some of the best taco truck tacos for $ 1 in the San Jose area, and I know tacos. When I went they were all out of carne asada(unfortunate for me but probably an overall good sign). In their defense, I did go pretty late. I can’t really give them a whole hearted review because carne asada tacos/burritos is my benchmark with Mexican food, but these are my findings: Pollo tacos — cubed chicken, decent amount of meat, can’t complain. Carnitas tacos –I generally don’t like carnitas because I generally find the meat to be too fatty and greasy… but not here. This was probably my favorite one. The meat was tender with a great taste, hardly any fat and not too much grease. Plus the amount of meat was quite generous. Al Pastor — Tasted great, just not enough meat. Maybe they were getting to the bottom of the barrel with this selection, I don’t know. Like I said, I went late but I was not disappointed.

$ 1 tacos. Best taco truck in East San Jose. I work about a 10 minute walk from this truck, and about once or twice a week my coworkers and I make the trek. The worst thing about this truck is the lack of outdoor seating, because the 10 minute walk back to work with hot tacos in my hand is torture. Whenever I come to work on a taco day without cash and have to smell the scent of other people’s tacos in the teacher’s lounge, I about lose it. My favorite is the azada, but the chorizo is perfectly hot and every other meat is perfectly seasoned as well. It beats that other taco truck a block away because each taco automatically comes with onion, cilantro, and salsa. Also, I don’t know if its acceptable to ask for extra carrots on the side, but I might start doing that, too. Downside: horchata= watery.

What can I say? $ 1 tacos!!! They don’t have the buy 5 get one free drink anymore, sadly. My favorites are pollo and chorizo. Must try!

For $ 1 a taco, you really can’t complain much! The hubz and I have tried the pastor, asada, pollo, and carnitas. They were out of lengua, to our disappointment. Next time I think I’ll ask for salsa on the side because it definitely was a kick in the mouth! The Nitty Gritty: the carne asada sadly did not have the charred/grilled texture I like. It was more like braised pulled beef or something. Same with the carnitas. The pastor and chicken were both alright– not too shabby. Also– they have vegetarian burritos here for like $ 4 something. ARF? How interesting. Highlights: Like I said earlier– you can’t beat the price really. They load up the tacos with a good amount of meat and pile it onto two tortillas. And then you get a free small horchata or tamarindo drink when you buy 5 tacos.

This spot is pretty crackin’ here at night. It’s always packed and there’s a reason why. I ordered the carne asada tacos and boy, they’re good. They even give you those little grilled peppers which is even better. Their salsa is really good and has just the right amount of kick. I like the street over by the gas station and I always think to myself, why don’t i come here more often?!

Another dollar taco truck found in front of a liquor store at the corner of Story Rd. and Kollmar Dr., near Capitol Expressway. At 10:30 pm, the surroundings reminded me of a quiet scene from Manila: multiple street vendors, lots of cars, and many locals walking by. With that, I had to try me some real Mexican food. With no buches or tripas available, I opted for lengua, cabeza, and carnitas. The carnitas was dry, leathery, and tasted stale. Cabeza was just alright. I’ve had better elsewhere, but at a bargain… can’t really complain. Tongue was the winner here. The tenderness and taste of their lengua matches some of the best lengua places I’ve gone to. And for a buck… Not a bad deal at all. Their tacos are made with 2 tortillas and loads of meat and condiments… nice and hot!
