Taquiza’s Dona Mari

I have used this taco cart for 2 different parties. I found them from a party I went to and they were there. They are AMAZING. The food is absolutely delicious. I order too much so that I am sure top have left overs. They are so nice and accommodating. They are beginning to be a part of my family! :) I would recommend them over and over. The Al pastor and the green salsa are to die for!!! I am excited for the next party I throw. They will definitely be there!

If you want to have a party and ENJOY it without worrying about cooking this is the way to go. I had my kids b-​day party this wknd catered by Doña Mari and the food was Delicious. Everyone loved it. The caterers were nice and talkative. Meat is really clean, no fat. And they provide everything plus some. This lady really hooks it up and her prices are really decent. she also mentioned she does more than just tacos so I’m looking forward to her food at our next party; At which we’ll probably be trying her Barbacoa, yum!

Delicious! The carne asada was divine. The staff were very friendly and the agua frescas are a nice touch!

Dona Mari’s Taquiza is WONDERFUL! I would highly recommend hiring them for your next event. They catered our wedding in the redwoods in Oakland this past weekend and they were such a pleasure to work with from the beginning.
Their prices are very reasonable, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the people are friendly and professional. They arrived early, set up, fed everyone, and packed everything away so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They even included a watermelon agua fresca (delicious), rice, beans, and all the fixings (ncluding grilled onions and jalapenoz). And they provided the paper plates, cups, and plastic silverware.
One last thing. We had friends that are vegetarians and Dona Mari’s made sure they made the quesadillas first so that they wouldn’t get any of the juices from the meat on them. Also, I have a severe citrus allergy and they were very careful to make none of the food on my plate contained citrus. Yay!

I celebrated my mom’s 90^th birthday and I’m so happy that I picked Dona Mari to cater the event. They had excellent customer service from the start. When I contacted them, they were friendly, professional and I was given clear information about prices and their menu items. In addition, they emailed me the menu to review and to call them when I was ready to place my order. Prior to the event, they called and confirmed the order and price, one more time. I appreciated this since it provided reassurance that we were still all on the same page. The day of the event, two of her staff came to my house exactly on time. They set everything up and it looked really nice. But the most important thing… The food was delicious! Highly recommend the bacon wrapped hot dogs. They were a HUGE hit. The meats were delicious, there were plenty of fixings for the taco’s, the salsa’s were delicious and spicy. Plenty of beans and rice. Also ordered some Watermelon water, it was really refreshing and had chunks of watermelon. Everyone loved the food and refreshments! Dona Mari’s staff were correct on the amount of food to order. I had plenty of food. Her staff did a great job cleaning up too. i will definitely use them again for other events.

Attended a birthday party that was catered by Taquiza’s Dona Mari, loved the carnitas tacos. They also stayed for several hours and the food was in abundance!

Please note that Taquiza’s Dona Mari and Dona Mari The Taco Lady are one and the same and both have great reviews. I hired Mari to cater a taco party luncheon at my workplace and she did a fabulous job! Everyone commented how great the food was. She says she prepares everything fresh — and you can taste it in the food. We got 3 meats (carne asada, chicken and fish), rice & beans and all the fixings for a great price. I called around and got lots of quotes and Mari seems to offer the best value. Also minimum headcount is 30 versus other places that require 50 minimum. She arrived prompty 1 ½ hours before service was scheduled to set up, prep and start cooking. Despite an unexpected fire drill that ate up at some of her prep time and the sprinklers going off in the lawn area where they had set up the grill, she still managed to keep to the 12 noon service start time. It was just the right amount of food — there was tons of leftover rice and beans and condiments, but we actually only had small amount of leftovers with the meats. A 5-​gallon jug of aqua fresca is also included in the price — I picked watermelon and it was delicious. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to others.

Hired them for a group sporting event for about 100 people… they were great. Very flexible, friendly and AWESOME food!!!

Just this past Sunday we hired them for my 30^th birthday party. We had 50+ people at my house. Awesome food!
They are legit. The girl taking my order was very nice, sounded young, like she’s working for her parents. She got he order perfect. Easy to order, affordable too.

Mexican place by my house and got fresh made chips and salsa as
an appetizer. Was a good move on my part.
I’d for sure use them again.

Juan and Vanessa caterered our department luncheon in the park. They brought everything. Our only job was to eat and drink that fantastic Watermelon water. I highly recommend this catering company. Great food, great people, very easy!

i was at a family’s birthday party & Taquiza’s was catering the event and they were excellent. Everything was fresh & seperated so you were able to pick & choose your condiments. the asada was extremely tender. the carnitas was crisp to order. I spoke with Mari & she says that in the asada, they seperate all the fat & that’s definite bonus points. The only I didn’t care much for was the tortillas. The beans the used weren’t pinto, but very similar in taste, but tasted more flavorful. I will definitely consider to have them cater an event in the near future.
