Wish I could give this company and store zero stars. I ordered furniture in February and now it’s June and I still have not received the pieces. Everyone involved has pointed fingers at each other — the store manager, the sales associate and the delivery company. Not once has any of them been proactive to call me and let me know what the issues were. I have had to take the initiative and reach out to them at every turn. They all promised to follow-up and keep me in the loop. It never happened — silence. Having been a Thomasville customer for many years, I am disgusted and so disappointed. They don’t care, will not take responsibility or manage any issues that arise. Don’t waste your time, energy and money in making a purchase here. Fortunately there are other and better furniture stores in the South Bay.

Don’t buy your furniture at this store or company. Paid $ 9K for leather sofa, chairs, and an ottoman. When it was delivered(at 9:30pm at night on a Friday) the leather looked nothing like the swatch they showed us, there was a knife cut on one of the chair arms, the couch cushions felt nothing like what was demo’d in the store, and the ottoman was shorter than spec’d. They acknowledge all issues including the leather look and coloring issue. They then indicated there was a mgr recommendation to refund $ to me. but then quickly changed their story and indicated they would replace or let me select something else but wouldn’t refund $. Not cool. Have no interest in any other selection and certainly not going to order a replacement when they can’t even explain what went wrong in the first place… nor wait 6 weeks again to see what shows up. So. now disputed on my credit card and will use legal means if needed. I should say that Deborah(sales person) was helpful and very nice. She should go work at a more reputable and quality furniture company.

Bottom line: I have furniture that looks great and that I’m very happy with. That’s all that really matters, so know that up front. good quality. I would suggest a few things: Sales people should keep their customers more informed. «Hey, I checked on your chair and…» just to keep up relations in the very very long time between purchase and delivery. And a call after delivery just to see how things are would have brought me back to the store to buy more. Not crazy ideas.

Bought a wooden side table from Thomasville a little more than a year ago. The top is damaged from the plastic finish bubbling up. We are very careful to use coasters, etc. No satisfaction from customer service.,

My husband and I ordered a sofa and love seat from this Thomasville showroom today. We’re a bit disappointed that the specific sofa/options we want are back ordered until April, but, for the quality of the pieces we saw, are hoping that, «Good things come to those who wait.» will ring true. The showroom is large, but well-laid out. The furniture is displayed attractively, and the general quality of pieces is quite high. We were greeted very politely and professionally by a sales woman as we entered the showroom, given a few moments, and the saleswoman then walked to us and asked if we’d like help, and introduced herself as Deborah. She was very knowledgeable about the furnishings on the showroom floor, and various options. After listening to the styling and options we were interested in, Deborah showed us two collections that were beautifully styled, and suited what we were looking for. Deborah checked to verify prices, discounts, and options. She kindly gave us her business card, and wrote the pricing of the pieces we were interested in. After checking another furniture store, we decided to go back to Thomasville to purchase the set we’d looked at. We worked with Deborah, who was friendly, helpful, thorough, and professional through the entire purchase.

I ordered a pricey sofa from Thomasville. It looked very nice in the store. The delivery was on time; the sofa really good for the first year. Then.. . the brackets holding the springs all broke away from the frame. The cushions sank and the springs are clearly visible hanging beneath the sofa with broken plastic brackets. Thomasville sent someone to install new brackets, which were supposed to be «the good ones». One year later, those brackets broke, too-springs hanging beneath the sofa once again. I have been calling Thomasville since March with no resolution. I called the store on Paseo de Saratoga. I spoke to manager who told be he has nothing to do with Customer Service. Really? He said I could call him every week. Really? I emailed the Quality Department twice-no response. By the way, the Thomasville website does not post its Customer Service phone number. The website offers users a response form, except Thomasville doesn’t respond.

This is the first time I have given a negative review on Unilocal.I ordered a buffet in January, was notified six weeks later it was on back order. Four months later, they called with a delivery date. I waited four hours, and they never showed up. I called the store and delivery center. The next available delivery date is two more weeks. Assuming it gets delivered in two weeks, I will have waited five months for a buffet that originally should have been delievered within two weeks…

I spent 2 months selecting the perfect couch with the perfect material at Thomasville. But I never got my couch… Thomasville had some of the nicest furniture that I saw in the Bay Area. It is pricey, but it’s beautiful. I went in many times and the sales person I dealt with was extremely nice. They finally sold me the perfect couch after I looked around and made my decision. I put the order on my credit card, and Thomasville finally calls me several days later to tell me that the material that I wanted wasn’t in stock and that I should buy the couch with a different material of lesser quality than what I wanted and Ina different color. I had to get the charge off my credit card to avoid fees, and it took 10 days. I was upset that they didn’t verify the material was in stock before they sold me the couch. I believe this is horrible to get someone’s hopes up and then dash all that hope. I am putting this here because I read another review exactly the same experience and Thomasville should fix this immediately. I want to go back but I just don’t feel like they were sorry or that they were going to fix this issue. So beware and make them check stock before you get your hopes up.

I am only putting one star because this system doesn’t go negative. After reading the onslaught of spot on reviews for this company. I only blame myself for not buying stock in Unilocal and for shopping at Thomasville. When we ordered in August, we were«Promised» that the material for our couches and chairs was in stock and now here we are a month late(with us having to call for updates) with both fabrics back-ordered with no end in sight. New projected delivery date for the couch/loveseat is JANUARY2014! The most frustrating part is that there isn’t any recourse and their customer service doesn’t seem to care. Please go anywhere else. Thanks Unilocal I feel better.

Despite negative reviews, I had a positive experience at Thomasville. I had been looking for a Media console for quite some time, without luck for style and price. I found the perfect piece on Thomasville’s web site. Went to the store to see it in person. It was exactly what I wanted, and was on sale! They delivered it about 2 weeks later. I feel this store has some beautiful furniture, mostly traditional styling, although my piece is contemporary. The salesman was also helpful and friendly. I would purchase here again.

I order a chair from Thomasville and the seat cushion did not fit and the fabric on arms and cushion were puckered and not stuffed correctly. Thomasville refused to give me a credit until they had fixed the problem. It took 4.5 months !!! to get the chair fixed. I wrote to the Corporate offices twice and no one gave me the courtesy of an answer. For comparison, I also had a problem with a buffet from Ethan Allen and they came out the next weekend and fixed it. I also had a problem with a a couch from Giorgi Brothers and they fixed it in 2 weeks. Thomasville is horrible, with attitude and terrible customer service.

Really incredible selection here, but man the prices are steep. I know, you get what you pay for. But I have seen the same Broyhill sofa set at three different places at three vastly different prices. Great stuff if you have the coin for it!
