Amazing Park! Great slides, climbing, and benches, definitely the place for a picnic, and very clean, great for kids.

Cute little playground park. Not really a destination park, but if you are in the area this is a nice place to stop for a picnic and open space play. The fields are bigger and quieter than most, which is nice, and theres good clean play structures available as well. A long walking trail weaves through and around it, so you can also go on an adventure hike or go for a jog while the kids play.

This park actually has 2 parts — the landscaped, larger part east of Thousand Oaks Drive, and the natural part west of Thousand Oaks Drive. The natural part has lots of trees, including eucalyptus, «Stumphenge” — an old, large tree stump, and often lots of native plants in between plowings. This part of the park is very popular with high school photography and film students, and sometimes you see them with their tripods and cameras busy on their projects here. The landscaped part of the park has a large lawn area, which sometimes gets watered and sometimes not, a small intimate garden to contemplate by, and of course the play area. Not very many swings here, but there is a small merry-go-round for lots of dizzy fun! The Sand Fairy often stops by to fill the drinking fountain with sand and sometimes cigarette butts.

This park doesn’t blow me away by any means, but it’s passable and has broad appeal. There are two climbing areas– one for under five, one for over five. Likewise they have normal and baby swings. There is a sand area, monkey bars, water fountains, and a spiny thing that makes adults cringe but kids absolutely love. One of the better features is the community that gathers here. Each night around seven a group of respectful dog owners meet for closely monitored off-leash play. It’s technically not allowed. But it is good for the doggies and the owners are respectful of others in the park. My son and doggie are always looking for more playmates so come check this park out for yourself.
