Tom is one of the nicest person I’ve met in a while. His calm demeanor and patience puts you at ease which is critical for good golf. He was able to find my faults within 5 minutes and systematically had me working on them immediately. I left my lesson with a clear understanding of what I needed to do in order to improve. Thanks Tom!

Just recently had my first lesson with Tom and had a great experience. Highly recommended!!! Tom is a very likable instructor with excellent knowledge of the golf swing. He gave me the feeling that he takes a vested interest in helping people improve and not just going through the motions. I was a single digit handicap and have been struggling with finding consistency. Heard great things about Tom and he didn’t disappoint. Tom was able to analyze my swing quickly and effectively set me on the right path without revamping my entire swing. He was able to simplify my golf swing and provide instruction cues that were easy for me to put into action. Had me hitting some nice baby draws. His method of teaching and communication helped bring clarity and confidence back into my golf swing.

Tom is a miracle worker. In just one lesson he fixed my slice and gave me the techniques and mental framework necessary to hit long straight drives. Would give him a 6 star rating if possible. If you are struggling with an aspect of your game, go see Tom!

Just had a couples lesson with Tom and we’ve already signed up for an additional package of 5. As a first time adult golfer, I was pretty nervous showing up at the course, but Tom’s demeanor was very calming, and I felt instantly at ease. His teaching pace is slow(in a good way), really building on the basics rather than overwhelming with too much information at once. The pricing is more than fair and the location(at Cinnabar) is lovely. Part of me didn’t want to write this review, so that we could keep him as our little secret and not let the word get out, but we owe him a great review after the wonderful experience he gave us on the course. Highly recommended.

I made an appointment with Tom at the recommendation of my husband. He has been taking lessons from Tom over the last couple of months and has made great strides in achieving a more consistent, powerful swing. As a beginning golfer I was a little apprehensive about working with Tom since he works with a lot of highly active and competitive golfers. I didn’t know a whole lot about the correct way to swing the club and even less about the various clubs and how to use them. Tom’s friendly personality put me at ease right away. I was basically at ground zero so he helped me to build my swing from the foundation up. I’m so glad that I went to see him before I had a chance to develop some bad habits. Tom is very patient and gave me some great tips for warming up and practicing at the driving range. I know my swing has definitely improved and I can’t wait for my next lesson with Tom.

Of all the instructors with whom my kids or I have taken lessons, Tom Good is the best I have met. His knowledge of the game, coupled with his teaching approach and demeanor, really separates him from a dozen or so others I have interacted with in the past. Having won the bidding in a silent auction to benefit the Santa Teresa High School Athletic Program, I wanted to get my daughter some lessons to improve her short game. Our communication in setting up the lesson was smooth. Knowing he was willing to donate a 5-lesson package for a benefit was already a good start but watching him teach my daughter made me realize how good of a golf pro he is. After a brief conversation to assess the level of her game and asking what her goals in the game of golf was, Tom tailored his instruction in a way that it totally resonated with my daughter. He provided instruction that was easy to conceptualize and execute. After just one lesson in chipping and bunker shots, my daughter was making some very nice shots. I could tell she was no longer going to be afraid of landing in the bunker or having to chip across a bunker onto the green. I even picked up some good tips while Tom was instructing and found myself chipping much better. Throughout the lesson, Tom was focused on teaching my daughter and his enthusiasm while teaching was clearly evident. He never gave us a sense he was in a hurry to end the instruction; in fact, I’m certain we went over on the lesson time. Even if you’re not near Cinnabar Hills GC, it may be worthwhile traveling farther to take lessons with Tom Good.

I just had my first golf lesson in several years. I heard of Tom Good, PGA Golf Professional and wanted to see if he could help me make my swing more consistent. He keeps the session moving smoothly by providing a swing thought followed by an interesting story. His advice is easy to understand and simplifies the swing. After watching me hit a few Pitching Wedges, he gave me a good tip at the start of the backswing. That was followed by another tip at the top if my backswing. After several more swings my thought process focused on those two thoughts and it helped me hit the ball more solid. Tom does not adhere to any strict teaching philosophy but improves on what a golfer already has. I know it’ll take a few more practice sessions at the range to ingrain the adjustments, but it’ll be worth it. Hopefully, with more practice, I’ll be scoring better in the future.
