Nice staff, yummy selection of breads, esp pandesal and they sell the best turon! The place is crowded most of the time because it’s a small store and people love it.

i went in right before closing, paid for 1lb pancit… They weighed it in the container. When I got home I weighed it was exactly 1lb. I have purchased many things in container and the weight of containers is usually subtracted. I will not be back.

My mom comes here all the time to pick up bread & whatnot, but today she bought some ukoy and it was UNDERCOOKEDASHELL!!! Like the batter was still completely wet! She had to fry them again at home before they were ok to consume! Excuse me, but if we wanted to fry ukoy ourselves at home, we would’ve done so. However she bought some from this location because we DONOT wanna fry ukoy at home, & it should be READY to eat at the time we buy it. Ridiiiculous. No excuses, 2 thumbs down for this joint.

My regular source of pan de ube shut down a few years ago, and the local Asian grocery that used to carry some has not had any in a very long time. I needed my pan de ube. So I started searching Unilocal for a place. Valerio’s popped up, but it’s so far out of my way that I wasn’t sure whether it was worth the trip. Finally, my craving got the best of me and I made the trek out there. Got my pan de ube, pan de coco, pan de bonnet, ensaymada, and empanada. The pan de ube bread was a little dry, but the filling was creamy and delicious. The other goods, especially the pan de bonnet, were seriously good as well. I then read about the cheese balls at this place and returned a week later to try them out. Yeah, they’re good, and the pan de ube that I got this second time around was much better. So, I guess I’ve found what I’m looking for with regard to Filipino baked goods. I also have gotten lunch from there a couple of times. Pretty decent stuff from the hot line. Pancit wasn’t particularly memorable, however.

Always fresh bread and the food is good. Great place to go when you don’t feel like cooking. Take a number as soon as you walk in and don’t forget it’s cash only. Be prepared to wait because service is ancient slow.

A good Filipino bakery is hard to come by. Sometimes the pan de sal is too dough-y or it doesn’t have that sweetness like home. Valerio’s has got the solution. Their twice a day freshly baked pan de Sal is good enough to slap you back to your childhood days in the good ol’ Philippines. It’s so good that I often eat two big pieces of bread before I get to the place I need to go(sorry, husband). But what’s awesome about this place is it is also a Turo-turo, a point and eat kinda joint. Feeling lucky? Go ahead and choose the dish you don’t recognize and then be pleasantly surprised. Most of the dishes are good: adobong anything, upo and giniling, Palm of hearts in coconut milk and of course two different kinds of pancit. Also you can’t go wrong with any of their baked goods. But don’t miss the beef empanadas and Turon(fried banana and jackfruit roll)!

Delicious plantain eggrolls. Stopped by randomly after church. They had some filipino dishes that you can get To-Go along with baked goods lying around. I wasn’t sure what many of them were, so I was hesitant to get it. I just got the egg rolls, took a bite, then decided to get more. Crunchy, banana flavored, and drizzled w/honey. Super friendly people working. Will come back for more.

Filipino’s throw huge filipino parties and sometimes there’s just not that much time to cook all that food(or you don’t know how), and so I’m happy that Valerio’s has Filipino food that tastes like it’s home made! Grab some hot pan de sal(filipino bread) in the morning, grab a plate for lunch, or order ahead of time for party trays, its as authentic as it gets here. They have a range of different Filipino bakery items to dishes. It is extremely small, with only a few tables, not much standing room, and gets crowded and out of control, but hey what can you expect when the filipino food is in demand and there are not many places to go to! Menudo: If you are not familiar with Filipino food and you are trying it out for the first time, this dish is what I would recommend. It is one of the more popular dishes and well liked. I consider it a «safe» dish if you’re new to filipino food because it has familiar flavors everyone knows, such as a tomato base stew, slightly fatty tender pork, a little bit of liver, soft potatoes, carrots, and peppers. Eating this is such comfort food! Pancit: Another dish I would recommend to those not familiar with filipino food. If you have ever had japchae(korean sweet potato noodles) it is pretty much the same thinness except pancit is a thin rice noodle. It is the same as chow mein in the sense that it is a noodle dish, stir fried with crunchy vegetables and other things. For the most part, pancit has a very faint flavor, so I recommend adding lemon! Chicken afritada: also a tomato based stew-ish dish like menudo. Difference is that this dish has chicken and peas and flavored slightly different. Pinakbet-A stewy dish(if you have noticed, all these dishes are stewy) that’s comprised of pork, eggplant, string beans, and squash. Pork is tender and the squash adds a wonderful sweetness to the rest of the dishes flavors. Banana egg roll: Filipino banana egg rolls exist in a thin, longer version or as the thicker, slightly flatter/short kind. Both taste the same pretty much. The one’s served here are the thin, long version. Basically it’s an egg roll withsoft bananas inside, and the outside is super crisp and glazed, sounds weird but you should try it! The crunchiness outside and soft mushiness inside go well together.

We’ve been coming to this branch for so long and ever since I could remember some of the staff are never smiles and some do. Today we’ve encountered the rudest staff. We’re patiently waiting at the cash register for someone to actually look at us and ask what were there for until this girl looked at us and we just said that we’re there for our Palabok order then we told her its for pick up. The girl rudely said«okay I’m serving someone else» in the rudest way(she said it in Tagalog by the way) we wouldn’t have mind waiting if she didn’t say that. I mean why bother asking if you’re gonna stupidly say something like that anyway. After she said it her face got more serious hard as hell like a rock. We’re very patient people but if someone as rude as this say or do something stupid, it really makes us furious. I almost said something but I just stopped myself. She’s lucky we respect our elders. How do you expect your customers to come back if your staff can even smile or talk to their customers properly. I don’t even know if I still wanna go back to this location. Such a disappointment.

I don’t really review any places unless i have too. Today i bought a pansit that i can’t eat its hard and to dry dont know what type of noodle they used but i can tell you its cheap noodle. I’ve been buying pansit here most of the time but i guess i won’t be buying this tasteless noodle anymore

Love their turon! They only offer them thurs — sun but they allow you to reserve some. They don’t make anymore once they’re sold out. The long loaves with cheese and pineapple filling could use WAY more filling.

This place sells filipino food which you can order to-go and larger party trays. They also sell baked goods and desserts, which most are placed out on the shelves. My mom bought some mamon and that sweet bread with ube filling, Pan De Ube. My dad was going to have some of the pan de ube with his coffee the next morning, but he found mold on it. I told them to bring it back in because they just bought it the evening before. I told my mom I would go in to see if I could get a new one for them. The store was just down the street. I went in late that afternoon, and the owner skipped me twice even when she made eye contact with me. So I asked her if I could just pay for some extra things that I wanted to buy, plus exchange the bread because they sold it to us the night before and it had mold on it. She told me, «Oh, you need to take a number.» I mentioned, «Well, the sign said ‘If you did not place an order today, then you do not need to take a number,’ so I didn’t grab a number.» The owner had said that it’s always been that way, you take a number to get helped. The extra items totaled to 4.33, and if I had the exact change I could pay for it right there. I was going to pull out some cash, and I had said that it was my first time there so I did not know that’s how it’s always been. And she should probably reword the sign because her new customers would not know. Her response to me was, «Please read.» That was it for me… «Yes, I did read. ‘If you did not place an order today, then you do not need to take a number.’ I did not place an order. I just picked up bread on your shelf, therefore I did not take a number. Did you ever read it because I am not so sure you actually understand what it says.» When I was first there, only one person was in front of me, so she still even skipped me when I was standing right behind the first customer, while looking straight at me. Maybe my mom should have looked closely at it before purchasing, but you should sell items that are fresh. I am not even sure how long that had been out. I did not bother to ask her again to exchange for another pan de ube either, which I just left on the counter. Please do keep the few bucks that my mom paid as well as your moldy pan de ube… and you can also keep a 1 star for your rudeness.

I’ve actually never physically been here. My uncle always brings the most delicious food over here — from pancit malabon(thick noodles, sticky, and rich) to freshly baked pan de sal. I’ve also had hopia mongo, and that sticky baked thing idk. There are so many delicious baked Filipino goods I can’t name. My uncle loves this place, and so do I. I could probably provide a fairer review to incorporate things such as customer service, setting, etc. — but from what I know of Valerio’s Bakery, the Filipino flavor is top notch — this is coming from somebody born and raised in Manila too ;) I’ll probably stop by to see how the actual shop is like someday.

This place is not bad. They make Filipino pastries and bread. They also have Filipino hot food such as adobo, pancit and palabok. I usually get the pancit when in here. It’s not the best pancit I have had, but it satisfies the craving. What I enjoy the most here is the Laing. It is delicious here! Laing is taro leaves cooked in coconut milk. When I order it from here, I usually get the small party tray which cost $ 45. All the rest of their offerings are just ok. If you order a party tray, they will require at least two days advance notice. They have a counter system, so as you enter immediately grab a ticket. It gets real busy here in the mornings on weekends. They only accept cash!!!

The closest thing to your childhood pandesal could be found here. I went to Safeway next door on a Saturday morning; and I couldn’t resist going to Valerio’s as the dead parking lot lingered of the freshly baked pandesal… I was going to get the pre-sealed bags; but the lady at counter offered me fresh ones from their kitchen… My Canadian fiancé LOVED the pandesal; and uses it for his chicken salad. I however, prefer it plain. by itself. maybe sometimes with a slather of good ol’ butter. I feel Lucky to live so close by!

MAHALKITA! means I love you! That’s what i would say to the Pan De Sal they sell here! They have other filipino food too but i just go here for the PanDeSal. It used to be a dollar for a dozen but now it’s 2 bucks i think but still worth every penny. Come right when they open at 7:30am and you won’t be disappointed. Or they have day old PanDeSal for cheaper too and they aren’t that bad either. It gets pretty packed in the mornings and they run out of bread too so come nice and early.

I bring my pinoy here every time he comes to visit. Thanks to him, my kids are now hooked to enseymadas, so I find myself coming here on the regular. $ 1 for a two pack is not a bad deal for those sweet, fluffy, fresh pillows of heaven. The pan de sal is always fresh, and you have a choice of purchasing it packaged or single serve in a paper bag for immediate consumption. They have a solid selection of different Filipino sweet treats, as well as delicious hot food items. You just grab a number, and place your order. The bakery can accomodate small parties to dine in, but larger parties definitely want to take their yummies to go. They have a good sized catering menu, which is awesome for parties when you don’t feel like cooking. The food is always fresh, and service is always with a smile. Cash ONLY! :)

Originally I came here for pan de sol, which is super tasty! But I picked up a pan de leche and fell in love with it! I stop by all the time and sadly, I just eat them like snacks and finish the pack in less than a week! They’re really tasty on their own. When it gets busy here, you need to take a number and wait to pay for your order, which can take a while. They’re also cash only!

Cash only *sad face* I walked in here w/a $ 5 bill on me because I left the house w/the intention to get a banh gio(my all-time favorite Vietnamese snack in the entire universe) as well as a banh mi xiu mai however, I thought to myself… I already knocked off 2 bookmarks; one on Friday and one on Saturday, I might as well knock out another one before my diet starts. Yes, I’m a total carnivore, chocoholic, and carbi-vore but I need to slim down in order to look fabulous for Vegas. I have to be honest. I have never tried Filipino food. I mean I’ve had lumpia before and I had pancit at a pot luck last year but to go to an actual Filipino establishment was never the case w/me. This place is right next to Jade China *hearts* I freaking love Jade China. Anyhow, parking is a pain in the ass because this plaza is always packed. When I walked in, I saw the cash only sign and was immediately disappointed. Thinking to myself, I was trying to see what I can get for $ 5 but the lady must have seen the way I looked at the pancit… she said, «For you, $ 5 is OK» so I watched in awe as she PACKED that to-go box like I have never seen it packed like that before. I was stoked! I handed her the $ 5 bill and pretty much thanked her a million times before I retreated to my car. I rushed home and before I dug into it, I took a picture of it to upload it onto Unilocal which then linked it to my FB. Whilst on the phone w/my babe. I took a gigantic forkful of the somewhat greasy vermicelli(or noodles), the crispy(not soggy) cabbage, the tender chicken. an overall heaping of fat, calories, and grease… I had no remorse. Absolutely NONE. Would I go back? You best believe it and I’ll make sure next time to carry a $ 10. So today is the start of my lacto-ovo diet and no fried foods, no sugar, and do diet sodas =(
