Purchased very expensive Quartzite at TEZ Marble 1707 Rogers Ave, San Jose, CA 95 112
They gave us a list of installers and we called 5 and met with 2. Only one gave us a quote but none could confirm their License. I did not want to give $ 7,000 worth of stone to an unlicensed fabricator.
Tony of Vassallo Tile was recommended by the General Contractor D J McCann Construction Tony came out and talked with my husband through the job, measured the project and called with a very reasonable quote 5 days later. He returned 2 weeks later (xmas break) to template the cabinets and clarified which directional pattern and the vanes to go. Then 10 days later returned on date and time to install
Fabrication and installation exceeded my expectations. The countertop is beautiful with the seams virtually invisible to the eye. He custom cut some of the scrap from the stove cut out and finished for a dresser top. The Island and countertops give a new look to the kitchen.
Only negative is slow to respond to phone calls but he does respond I have to remember he has other jobs.

I bought some very expensive, very unique granite. I had hired another contractor to fabricate and install the granite and he flaked out on me. Vassallo Tile was recommended by the place where I bought my tile as a company that took great pride in doing the highest quality work. Giovanni came out and talked with me about my project and I could tell that he was an artist. He explained everything he was going to do and invited me to come to the shop when they templated the granite to make sure that I got exactly the look I wanted. I had only bought two slabs of granite and there was not a lot left over so I had to be very careful, especially since the granite had a definite directional pattern and needed to all flow together to look good.
Giovanni exceeded my expectations. The countertop is gorgeous. He even managed to match the pattern so the cuts are virtually invisible to the eye. Where other fabricators told me that they would have to make cuts because my garden window was slightly lower than the counter, Giovanni simply «shimmed» the window so that he was able to use one continuous piece. He custom cut some medallions out of the granite and now I have matching pieces interspersed with the tile backsplash. I love my countertop and new look for the kitchen. Everyone who sees the counter loves it and wants to know who did the job.
