Voice Lessons by Nina

I’m a fellow voice teacher in the area, and Nina always comes highly recommended. She almost always has a waitlist of students. Someone who really knows her stuff. She’s fun, friendly, and talented. You’re in good hands learning from her.

I’m a guy in my late fifties who has always loved to listen to music but never took the time and effort to learn to play an instrument. This past year I decided to take the plunge a bit and at least see if I could gain some confidence with respect to singing and found Nina advertised online through Unilocal.
I was a bit apprehensive at first given I’m old enough to be her dad (she actually reminds me of my daughter) and therefore concerned I would end up with someone who only knew how to work with kids but couldn’t relate to someone my age. Any fears I had were quickly put to rest — Nina is awesome! Personable, friendly, extremely positive and encouraging, just makes the whole process of taking lessons very fun. She worked very hard to tailor the lessons to my level, focus on where I could be successful, pick material that I liked and enjoyed singing, and in general was just about as ideal an instructor as I could have possibly hoped to find. In the 6+ months I took lessons from her it was clear that I made lots of progress and now feel much more confident of my singing capabilities and developed a much deeper appreciation for all the nuance that actually goes into being an accomplished singer. Yes, innate talent is hugely helpful, but there is so much that you can do with technique to maximize whatever capabilities you have and mask your weak spots.
Unfortunately due to a new job assignment at work I’ve had to drop lessons at least for the moment, but I really hope to pick this up again at some point in the future as there is still much to learn and sincerely hope Nina’s is available for lessons when I’m ready to start again.

Nina is an awesome teacher and anyone who wants to learn how to sing should learn with her! I’m 14, and I used to be in a band.

Nina is an excellent teacher! I am a new singer who started late in life. Nina makes each lesson fun and she lets me choose the songs I want to sing.

I recently retired and after seeing my wife take lessons from Nina I decided to try lessons for myself. I am a guitar player but have always enjoyed singing along to the songs I play. Within just a few lessons with Nina my voice improved enough for me to frequent open mic nights. She is a great teacher and has made retirement much more entertaining.

Nina has been teaching my 11 year old daughter for a couple of months and I couldn’t be happier. Not only is her technique engaging (which is hard to do with an 11 year old) it is also very supportive. My daughter’s voice has improved as well as her self confidence. Nina relates wonderfully with her and her teaching style is effective and motivating.
