Wow. Horrible customer service. Over charged my 90 year old grandmother for a water heater, 2000 plus dollars. Had to get an approval from the city after installation, and it was installed wrong! They came out to fix it, and it’s been leaking ever since. When me and the family called on two occasions for questions on why it’s having multiple problems, the guy that answers the phone has an attitude and stated that before he comes to see what the problem is on a brand new water heater(which they charged over 2000 dollars for)(which has a warranty) he said he would have to charge our grandmother a fee first to come out. Then when I asked to pay after they determined the problem on the brand new water heater they installed with warranty(let me emphasize that), he argued that he had been doing this for 27 years and he was going to have to decline!!! Hahahahahah what a joke! Our poor grandma got swindled! We ended up calling Home Depot, the gentleman on the phone said we over paid as well. What a strange company.

I had a very poor experience with this company. I originally chose their services because it appeared their price to install a water heater was less expensive. What I wasn’t expecting was all the additional costs once they arrived to my home, making the acutal cost more than any other bids. The real problem was the danger this company put my family in. The technician did not tighten the gas connection properly and there was a significant gas leak in my garage requiring an emergency visit from PG&E. Water Heater Professionals took no repsonsibily for this action and said I should have called them at 1am instead of PG&E. I asked the owner why would I call an incompetent company back to repair something that never should have happened? The owner insisted I should not have called PG&E first, even though thier company did not return my calls once they realized there was a problem. I would avoid this company for any services.

Water Heater Professionals gave a telephone quote of $ 789 to install a new water heater. When Rick came he spent ten minutes marking a check list then said there were four of five things needed to bring it up to code and that they would cost $ 404. It seemed there were three or four small parts extra and perhaps an extra half an hour labor. $ 404 for that seemed absurd, clearly a rip off. In my opinion these guys are con artists. Anyway I told him to leave, he charged $ 99 for the ‘service call’ which was a joke. I ended up going to Water Heaters Only and they did a good job without the phony low ball price quite. I’m sure you can find a good water heater installation company if you look hard enough but Water Heater Professionals isn’t the one. They may do professional work, I’ll never know, but when it comes to honesty and customer care they suck.

Steven, at Water Heater Pros in SF was verbally abusive to us, as was one of his employees, before we could even make a deal. There are many water heater companys in the Bay Area, I strongly suggest you avoid this one.
