Tucked in a residential neighborhood near Meridian Ave. This is a sweet, rustic wood and brick interior 1930s bungalow. It has with a front veranda for outdoor seating. Ample parking lot in back(a plus!) can support outdoor barbeque grilling. The hall is Perfect for 60 – 80 people. Dancers it has the original maple floor. Amenities include, a bar with fridge, kitchen with original(?) green linoleum counters so popular in the with stove fridge microwave and serving counter to the main hall. Wifi and overhead projector and screen. A cheeful sunny in the day time. You need to turn down music at 10pm to keep peace with the neighbors. We love the retro feel of this historic building. And the good works going on at the post… the walls have information on activities and efforts for veterans! The Auxiliary here has a first Sunday Breakfast Fundraiser every month we(almost) never miss!

Fabulous venue for family/friend parties and special events! I’ve attended parties here, as well as helped the hosts with their parties. It’s a great place with a lot of space. There’s a large hall that can be left open for a dance floor, as well as set up with tables and chairs. The hall provides folding chairs with nice cushioned seats and large, long tables. You can also set up tables/chairs on the veranda in the front of the building for those sultry summer evenings. I’ve been there for a Mother’s Day tea, for a party that featured a band that left after our party to go play a gig at the Biscuit n Blues club in San Francisco, birthday parties with professional DJs, and Day of the Dead(Dia de los Muertos) parties — among other things. There’s 2 fridges there. One can be used for drinks and is by a bar in an alcove, and another fridge is in the kitchen along with a commercial gas range, a stainless steel work table, microwave, sink, and a counter opening up to the hall. Bring your own bags of ice to put in the good sized freezers of the fridges! The kitchen is large enough for people to be preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning up food/drink. There’s A/C and heat. There are two bathrooms, with enough room to change into costumes. There’s a good sized parking lot behind the building. The building is located on Minnesota Avenue(between Meridian and Lincoln avenues) and has a handicapped ramp available, as well as steps into the building. Because the hall is in a residential neighborhood, parking lot signs ask guests/hosts to be considerate of neighbors and keep the noise down. Venues must finish by 10 pm, and then cleanup after yourselves after. The interior is wood and brick, along with photos of American Legion members past and present, as well as other Military information. But the hall let us put up all kinds of decorations as long as we took everything down. We like to think of it as our private party place, but know the Legion supports many deserving causes — so book a party there and have some fun! The Legion staff are helpful and welcoming! Well worth the modest fee! We have had many happy parties there!
