First time I came here and I won the powerball. Watup. It was only 4 dollars, but it’s a sign of good things to come.

I drive by this liquor store all the time, but I only noticed recently their sign advertising a large selection of craft beer. I stopped in today and I was surprised they had as much beer(if not more) as BevMo. They definitely stocked some breweries I’ve never seen at BevMo. I met the owner Huong and asked if he was able to get AleSmith Speedway Stout from San Diego. He said he would find out. Cool! I’ll be back to try the other stouts I didn’t get today.

This is the perfect neighborhood stop for alcohol on the fly and lots of choices. I tend to arrive at BevMo when they’re closed so it’s convenient to have so much variety both chilled and packaged. Shelves are listed by beer, wine, hard liquors, mixers, and so forth. This is also my favorite spot in the South San Jose area to pick up Scratchers.

I have been meaning to stop by, today I finally had the chance. I was looking for a sour beer. I asked the kid at the counter, he seemed confused at first and pointed in a direction and said they were ‘over there’. The store was empty I was the only one there and he could have showed me where, but didn’t.

This place is amazing for the craft brews! I get something new every time I go in. Without the hassling or «hey boss/buddy«BS! When you purchase everything is on the screen so there is no sneaking in extra CRV tax that other liquor stores are notorious for. I even ask if there is anything new and the owner will go and show you! He even goes in the back and gets Pliny or other hard to find brews given there is a list now, he will not be hesitate to get you one if he has one. I normally walk in and ask anything new and he will go straight to it! He has even moved stacks and open boxes for the newest stuff. If you are in the area and a huge craft brew fan then this is the place without a doubt! I support this place and I hope you will too, it is well deserved! –The Ontrac Guy!(Russ)

I’ve been wanting to give this place a try for the longest time. I always see the big craft beers banner on the front which caught my eye every time. So last night driving home I decided to give this place a try. When I walked in all I saw was craft beers every where! This place has such a good selection it’s the best in town. So far this place is holding it down for South San Jose area. It’s a little hidden but it’s not hard to find. The price is good the owner keeps the price really fair. They have all kinds of great selections. This place is craft beers heaven! So much to choose from I was standing there reading each bottle. The owner was cool he didn’t rush me or anything since it was near closing time. Trust me, if you like craft beers and want a major selection this is the place to be.

Yolo Liquors has lots of microbrews, beers, sodas on display, sans pricing. clerk claims they are new, haven’t got around to post prices. clerk noticed me checking out the brews, asked my preferences. «stout» i said. Heretic recommended. mentioned england’s «young» chocolate coming. stated i dislike chocolate flavored brews. brew: Heretic«Chocolate Hazelnut Porter‘(6.99) –smooth 7% chocolate infused ale, mainstream stuff –not my style, like stronger bite, not into sweet lasting beers. –clerk obviously likes chocolate brews or thinks patrons will. drips: –posted prices decent, cheap –clean, roomy store –maybe it’s the rent, expect pricey brews here.
