Literally happened on this shop while making use of the free loo across the street. These collectibles are the story of my life. Was happy to browse the store, but didn’t buy anything. Then, the owner let me know about her extra space next door… and sitting there on a chair were two two of the cutest square dance dresses I’ve ever seen, both marked down to $ 6. Tough choice: #1 was a jumper in pink and green with strawberry print; #2 was a short sleeved circle skirted dirndl in red with blue and green print of owls, acorns, turtles, and other flora and fauna. Went with #2, and got nothing but compliments on it since then. Wore it for a hike up Pinnacle National Monument, then on Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, felt comfy and great in both places. Let’s see if you get to square dance dress #1 before I go back to buy it!

Okay, so this is literally the best store I have ever been in — in my entire life. It is an antiques and collectibles store. I have never seen such charming items — I really wanted one of everything. From old magazines to comic books(remember Wendy?), thermoses, teddy bears, fifties greeting cards. There were just a host of interesting and fun items. if you haven’t been yet, please go… I won’t go into why I was in San Juan Bautista, but WOW! I was blown away. The lady that owns the store is such a sweetie. Unfortunately, only opened on Fridays and Saturdays.
