The food and service is great. The food is made very quickly and is consistently good.

I used to live five minutes from this place growing up. I made the biggest mistake of my life moving to NYC seven years ago only because it means I get to come here just once a year when I go home for the holidays. This is my first stop after I land at MFE. If I could, I’d have the pilot land directly at this place. I say a quick hello to my mom and then bolt to the car, start driving, and break several traffic laws on the way because I can’t wait another second. The tacos are so darn good I wake up many nights after dreaming about them, my mouth salivating. I am crying just thinking about them and anticipating devouring about 15 of them during my next visit in just a few short days. They are my number one reason to go home(sorry fam.) Do yourself a favor and stop by here. If you go during the holidays, I’m the one in the corner with my butt glued to a seat, a mountain of tacos in front of me. Dear God give me strength to make it through the next few Taqueria Rio-less days. P. S. The parking lot resembles a Pac-Man game, the likelihood of getting in an accident in that hellhole is high, but I really could care less about dinging my car… the food is worth it.

Their fajita tacos were delicious. Beware if you don’t like oily or greasy tacos because they are a bit oily, I’m guessing from when they fry their tortillas in oil. Charro beans are so good. They could be a bit spicier for me but for those of you who don’t care for spiciness the beans will be in your ballpark. They do charge for refills so drink cautiously but all their beverages are in a can or a bottle like the Mexican sodas, except for their aguas frescas. In general, it’s a good place to try out. Don’t come here often because I live on the other side of town but when in that area I do try to make a point to stop in and eat.

Each taco is like the hand of an angel escorting you into eternal bliss. Every bite an epic voyage into the throes of gastronomic ecstasy, as all of your previous taco memories collapse under the weighty shadow of their own mediocrity. You might just lay there crying, looking at old calendars, realizing how many wasted years have passed. It will replay again and again in your mind, every single wrongful purchase of inferior tacos you’ve ever made. The ghost of tacos past will haunt you… you could have been eating Rios this whole time! Some may choose to seek counseling at this point. I just chose to keep eating. You can’t go wrong with bistek on flour. The chicken tacos are also unusually delicious. If you order cheese for your tacos,(I do) order it on the side and you get a lot more. Their jamaica drinks pair well with pretty much anything on the menu. Caution: as a friend of mine pointed out to me, the parking can be a bit of a challenge during peak hours, so be ready for that. But believe me, it’s worth it. Enjoy!

One of the best places for tacos in the valley. Fresh homemade flour tortillas, charro beans, Mexican coca-cola all make this family owned taqueria a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. Their taco combos are super reasonable and come with a drink, charro beans and a baked potato loaded with butter, sour cream and cheese. The tacos de fajita and bistec are their most popular but be adventurous and get the mojellas(extra crispy) and enjoy. Whether you get flour or corn tortillas, you will not be disappointed. I personally have not found better tacos in the valley.

I’ve tried taco joints up and down the Valley and this one is the real deal. An order of 6 bistek or carne asada tacos is $ 4.25 and they come with grilled onions, a grilled jalapeño and a cup of beans. But, the best thing is the red hot sauce. DONOT miss it! Also, if you go at night, there is a substantial to-go crowd so don’t be surprised if parking is a problem.

I finally got to try this spot after hearing very good things about it. There are plenty of taquerias down the same street, but I doubt that any are as good. It was already getting late, so I got an order of Tacos de Maiz [corn] to-go. I asked the lady about the beans, and she gave me a cup for FREE. :0) The order of 6 tacos was HUGE, 3x Fajita/3x Bistek. They come w/the standard«fixins» of cilantro + cooked/raw onions, they also included a cooked jalapeño which was a nice touch. The Beans were good, and the tacos were very good and filled w/plenty of protein. The salsa verde is also tasty, and pretty mild. I’m definitely showing up to this spot again in the near future…
