I have always had great experiences shopping here. It is one of the best places to shop for their return policy and helpful employees.

Decent service and clean. Nothing to write home about though. Just your average BBB.

Not great customer service. Poor training. They don’t explain what they are doing while they price adjust. No apologies or trying to go above and beyond to make a bad situation right.

My oven was out and I knew I wanted and needed a toster oven. I went in and saw they had 4 or 5 different units of which I was completely clueless about. A young man named Josh came to help me and actually knew every darn thing there ever was to know about a toaster oven, I bet he could write Toaster oven theory! He also had a toaster oven of his own and gave me some tips on cooking and recipes! Wow, thanks to the awesome 20% discount I took the mid priced cuisinart and ordered a pressure cooker to boot of which the sales guy knew all about as well! A week in I came to LOVE that toaster oven, however I noticed some weirdness whenever I baked raw dough or batter (I still loved the toaster oven) I called Josh and asked if maybe I was using it wrong. Over the phone he had me conduct a test and knew right off that it had a deffect and instructed me to bring it in! Amazeballs young man! Thanks so much!

Oh, how service has declined. They recently implemented a new policy where if you make a return they deduct 20% off the return price. This makes sense. I’m actually surprised it took them this long to implement it as I’m sure they’ve had a lot of fraudulent activity because of this. However, I went in to complete an EXCHANGE for the exact same item and the cashier told me that they would have to deduct 20% from the item I was returning, and charge me full price for the one was getting, even though I was getting the exact same item. That’s ridiculous. When I asked why, the cashier simply said it’s policy and left it at that. If they’re worried I was going to make a fraudulent return in the future, they could’ve easily taken care of me by deducting the 20% from the item I was bringing back and apply a replacement coupon to the item I wanted to replace it with. But they’ve probably gotten rid of replacement coupons too. Now I’ll have to make another trip back with either the coupon (if I can find it) or a coupon and try to do the exchange all over again.

Joshua is exceptional !!! He exceeds my expectation of how a sales associate should be. Always has a cheerful attitude with him, very helpful, patient and corteous everytime. He makes my trip to the store very pleasant! Other cashiers and managers as well are equally helpful and accommodating. Love, love this store!!!
Most items can be pricey but the quality is worth it and their return policy is the best compared to other stores! Always go there for my kitchen gadget needs and all around house must haves. ツツツ

Bayfair Mall is a real gem that I just discovered recently. Tucked away in San Leandro, this plaza has a ton of quality establishments: Jamba Juice, 24 Hour Fitness, Kohl’s, Target, and BB&B. I am a big fan of the in-​store pickup lately, so I shot over here to pick up a few things after the gym. Their coupon policy is ridiculous – you can always bring in the infamous 20% coupon off one item anytime, and have it added to your prior purchases. Shannon was extremely helpful in tending to me – got my online order fast, and was able to apply all of my 20% coupons retroactively without issue. Really appreciated the customer service. I’ll definitely be back for future transactions.

Me and my partner were trying to purchase an item and all the signs around the item said 19.99 we got up to the register and it rang up 49.99. I asked the cashier about the price and a associate went over to view the signs with us. The associate argued with us and said the signs weren’t suppose to be there and just walked away. I was stunned by her rudeness and the cashier didn’t see to care. We ultimately bought the item but expressed to the cashier this is the last time we would come into this store since customers are treated so poorly and everyone seems to be completely miserable.

This review is from my last experience at this location, I went to buy pillows since I needed to replace my old ones and decided to come here and check out what they have, I was assisted by a helpful associate and she gave me recommendations so I took her word for it and decided to spend my money here before she left she advised me that there was a 20% off when you sign up online for there email promotions so I decided to sign up when I came to buy the pillows the cashier rung me up and she looked as if she wasn’t trying to help me at all so then I told her about the 20% off and she said that I would have to wait to get the coupon after she told me that I told her the girl over by the pillows told me I will get the discount right away, this wasn’t the case so what she does is voids the transaction as if I wasent going to buy them either way and asked me if I still want them and I said yes so she has to go back and re do the transaction and I was told by another cashier that it takes about a week to get the coupon and can come back for an adjustment so I said fine. My concern was that i didn’t like the way the cashier that was ringing me up was acting she had a stank face and seemed miserable to work here and acted like as I was up to no good plus on top of that my card was suspended by my bank with out them telling me so it made the situation worse because she looked at me as if I was trying to do some fraud or something especially after I asked to type it in manually (didn’t know about the card being suspended til after I left the store) so I paid with another card and left! I think she shouldn’t work here if she’s gonna be acting like that with customers I know the area isn’t the best since its San Leandro but still there’s a reason why they built bed bath a beyond here there’s a lot of quality customers that shop in these type of stores, in case you ever go there and come across here she’s a short Asian chick heavy set with tattoos in here arms and I believe in here neck too. I’ll still come here but next time I deal with a worker like that I will let them have it for sure!

I am still happy to say I give this store 5 stars! The customer service is so great every time I come in.
I am enjoying using the «in store pickup» feature from the web site. I can pick everything out at home and then wait a couple hours for an email that tells me somebody at the store has gathered everything for me and all I have to do is pick it up… and bring in my coupons for the savings!
By far my favorite store at Bayfair.

Good sized store. Lots of crap you can buy. I feel like you can find something for almost everyone. I’ve always had trouble finding workers throughout the store.

This is not so bed bath and BEYOND! theres bed and theres bath but wheres the beyond? its a very small place. i guess im used to beyond stores where they sell everything you can imagine and everything you never even thought of. theres no beauty section here. theres hardly a as seen on tv section. for the most part i just saw bed and bath. not even bath because i couldnt find shampoo or face wash! disappointing. the shelves were stocked for the things they did have. it was clean inside. i’ll give them that. just disappointing that there was no beyond here…

This place gives BB&B a bad name. Been there twice, they were out of stock twice. Felt like the sales staff were playing an impromptu game of «hide n seek» with us, since they were busy doing everything under the sun, except interacting with customers in the store. Had to hunt one down to ask about a product we wanted to buy — Roomba 7 series. Never asked us if we’d like to order it & have it shipped to us or if they could find it in another store, had to ask about it ourselves. U’d think a $ 400 item would elicit a tad more interest in providing some type of customer service. Not at all my usual experience with employees at other BB&B locations.

This Bed Bath & Beyond is pretty much like every other Bed Bath & Beyond I’ve been to. They have an okay selection of kitchen and bathroom items.

Pretty happy with their service. Whenever I come, its the same old woman at the cashier. I love her. Very sweet, and helpful. I come here always to check out Sales & Clearance and also their Yankee Candles.
I prefer coming here because: 1; its close to my work, and 2; its not as busy as the one in Fremont Hub. Lesser foot traffic. I can enjoy walking around browsing without bumping into people trying to squeeze through their narrow aisles. I especially love just being in the Yankee Candle Section, and smelling every single scent. There has always been another woman next to me doing the same thing. We laugh and share our favorites. Every single time, I get a good conversation going on with someone different… Haha. I guess Yankee Candles are always a great social conversation starter for women.

I was too nice last time. This store is solid, but it could be better (my wife and I went here yesterday and a few other times over the past year).

+Our cashier yesterday was friendly (she noticed that my wife was pregnant and congratulated her– they even talked about the upcoming baby shower).
We also saved $ 39 (we used two 20% off coupons and one for $ 5 off).
+There’s now a big Customer Service sign over the desk on the right (it’s on the left when you’re ready to pay). Where you should pay was confusing in the past (you should go to the desk for refunds and other issues– unless there aren’t any open, you should go to the registers on the right to pay for your items).
+There are some exceptions, but the Bed Bath & Beyond guarantee is nice: «If you find a lower price at any of our competitors, we will meet that price.»

+We bought a good 15-​piece knife set yesterday. The regular price is only $ 43.59.
+The bath mats here are pretty nice (we would have bought one yesterday, but my mom gave us one for Christmas).
+Some great wall art is sold here. A holographic piece that we bought about 9 months ago was a big hit during our housewarming party (it’s not being sold right now, but maybe it will be sold again in the coming months).
+This location isn’t usually busy, and so it’s easy to get a cart (you may have to hunt for one if you go to the Fremont location).
+Some good music is played inside. I heard «Look Around» by the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the first time yesterday.
+/​-​Some solar walkway lights that we bought earlier were cheap. They don’t always turn on, though, and one of them really never worked (I threw it away).
+/​-​As Catherine N. has mentioned, the prices here are really just «decent» if you have coupons (it’s large and cool, but I wouldn’t pay $ 141.69 for the step trash can that we bought yesterday). On the plus side, the items here are of good quality (the plush backrest pillow that we bought yesterday is basically worth $ 27.24).
+/​-​Some are better than others, but all the cashiers are pretty quick and competent.
–It’s nice inside, but I’m tired of how small this store is. The aisles are even more narrow than the ones at the Fremont location, and the only spacious area is the bedding section. I had to be careful a number of times yesterday not to hit anything with our cart (at one point, I felt like a stunt driver when I did this one maneuver). Waiting for people to pass also gets old fast.
–Even though there are some friendly employees here, you’re kind of on your own. I find the employees roaming around the store to mainly be in the way.
If you can’t find something, check the walls (we didn’t notice where most of the trash cans were until the end, and our cashier lightly laughed). There’s really a lack of space here.
Watch out for cars while you’re walking over. Don’t assume that every driver is going to stop for you. Flying through the air a bunch of times will teach you a lot.
As I said last time, it’s worth going here overall.

I could get lost in this store. They have absolutely everything you could need and want! Everything is neatly organized often you’ll find sale items in the center isle. They have most things in stock where most places wont. I come here for all of my baking needs. I haven’t encountered a problem with customer service here.

Considering how often I’ve shopped here recently, I am surprised I haven’t rated it!
Pros:
+Solid customer service. Never had any problems in this arena at this store. ++ for the sales associates at the check out.

+good location for public transit aka AC Transit lines and BART. No car? You can still get here! Hard to say that for most suburban shopping places.
+adjacent to Bayfair Mall and other stores such as Macy’s, Target, Kohls, and Old Navy.
+affordable prices, reasonable
Cons:
–Neighborhood isn’t the best though this area has turned around a lot in recent years especially with the makeover of this mall and its adjacent stores.
–Less selection than Fremont Hub location especially when it comes to Simple Human goods!
–Can get slightly disorganized
–Does not have the Travel size section like Fremont Hub
Overall, I love this store’s customer service and it’s a good store even though it is a bit smaller than Fremont Hub’s BBB and with slightly less selection. Will come here again!

Good store, bad as in unsafe location.
They do have 4 CFl’s for 99cents right now, so major score!
