I work nearby, and I found this place because the food in this area is generally, well … terrible. But this place is awesome! The owners are sweethearts, and happy to answer any questions you have. They even recommended a good nearby coffee shop, as well as their own competitors for lunch, honestly helping me find more places to go instead of just pitching their own shop. It’s quiet, friendly, and well lit. Now to the food. Just about everything on the menu is between $ 6 and $ 11. And it’s all great! Everyone in the Bay Area claims«fresh, organic» food, and then serves the same old junk. But the food here is legitimately good, and you can taste the quality ingredients. I have been here 3 times so far, and ordered the falafel wrap, the penne with chicken, and the spinach salad with chicken. The falafel was awesome, as was their spicy sauce, and I’ll be coming back to get it again. The pasta was solid, though not particularly noteworthy. And the spinach salad was delicious, with thick, quality bacon, fresh spinach, a delicious homemade vinaigrette, and eggs and tomatoes that were clearly truly organic and fresh. You can taste the difference between them and what comes in your standard local spinach or cobb salad. So, overall, nice people, good prices, and great food. I’m as picky as people can get, but this is my new lunch spot!
