Had some great work done by Maria in 2013. She is great, friendly, and helped us all out with her practice. Unfortunately, due to some internal accounting error I am now being billed for work completed over 2 years ago through medical insurance I no longer have. Was contacted today by her office. We have moved away and mail forwarding orders expired long ago. I was told by the new office worker that there was an employee problem in 2013 and that is why the billing was wrong; and was threatened by collections for $ 17, etc bills. Not a professional way to do business. Now it becomes my problem. I will not return though we plan to move back to San Leandro soon, and suggest you carefully work out billing details to avoid such a trap. Threats turn me off.

I love Dr. Maria. She is great! I came here twice for an adjustment and had to stop coming because of my work. The times she was open conflicted with my schedule but once I have a different schedule, i will definitely come here again. She takes her time and addresses any pain you have in your body. I had problems with my left knee feeling unstable. Within the two adjustments i had, i felt my left knee feel alot better. Oh and that machine table she has feels amazing on your back, stretching out all your muscles in your body.

I have been seing Dr. Maria for many years now. She is the sweetest most comprehensive chiropractor I have ever known. I am happy to make the drive from Oakland to San Leandro to see her because she is that good. She’s great with kids too!

I love Dr. Maria! She super sweet and gentle. She really understands you and your situation physically and financially.
She has a humanitarian approach to patient care. Which is the best kind you can get. She works by feel and doesn’t take x-​rays if not absolutely needed. She’s honest and she speaks our language. You know those doctors who throw big words at you and assume that you understand? Or those doctors who assume you don’t understand so they speak to you if you are kindergardeners? She not either one of those. She talks and explains to you on a intelligential level without making you feel like a idiot!
She’s been where we are, working the under appreciated jobs and living paycheck to paycheck. She knows that sometimes we are just trucking along and barely scraping by. And I feel as though that experience has led her to be really generous when it comes to the bill. She gave me a 10% discount on my service since I didn’t have any insurance. But the nice thing as that she let me split my payment into two months without interest! Yay! Since I’m a working student, this really helped me out. I think she’s the kind of person who is willing to make a compromise with you if you really need it. And that is what is so great about her!
