This place sucks all a round!!! Owner needs to check his employees and teach them customer service as a priority! with 6 employees waited 20min for a scoop of ice cream while they Chit chatted and listened to there Mexican music. This place is Ridiculous

This review is for the mangonada only. I don’t know whether the way they make it is authentic or not, but at the price of $ 5.50 after tax, it is definitely not a good deal. They give you 3 large scoops of sorbet that take up 95% of the cup, and in the remaining 5% you get maybe 4 – 5 pieces of mango max. Other mangonada’s I’ve tried from places in San Jose are 1 scoop of sorbet and the rest of the cup mango chunks. I would much rather have more mango than sorbet to be honest.

Super horrible customer service was waiting 10 minutes while the employee just sat there then goes about and ignores me and assists two other customers has me waiting for another 15 minutes mind you while serving the first costumer she handles money and food without any gloves or washing her hands. Then proceeds to help yet another customer and makes eye contact all three times never felt so disregarded

Love this little place! Way better than Baskin Robbins down the way! The flavors are rich and fresh and a lot of them come with the option of being milk or water based. My faves are pecan, pistachio, strawberry(water based) and while their sister location on Mission Blvd occasionally serves rose petal ice cream(my fave of faves) I am yet to see this at the Pelton Center location. Their mango ice cream is also a popular one!

Don’t waste your money here. I got the tostilocos for almost $ 7 and they are NASTY. The cueritos were worm and slimy. the mangonadas are ok not the best.

The employees do not seem to get what it means to give good customer service. Every time I go, I am never greeted, and they always seem to rush me into choosing what I want. I have only been here three times and every time it is the same experience. I won’t be going to this place ever again.

The service isn’t super great BUT the mangonada is the BOMB! This is the only place that makes them really authentic.

First time being here and I order a crêpe. It was too hard for my taste. I have tried better. The prices are ridiculous It would of been worthy if it was good, but it wasn’t. I want to give them a 3 start just because my review is base on the crêpe I tried. I’m planing to go back and try some of their Mexicans goodies. And I’m hoping is as good as it looks.

I love their Mangonadas they are simply delicious. My best friend turned me on to them about a month ago and I’ve been going to this place to get my fix about once a week, they haven’t disappointed me yet. However I will say that they need to hire more ppl to help out on those hot days because it can get pretty busy and the wait is somewhat long.

No customer service what so ever. My raspado was made incorrectly and they did not want to refund my money. After a few minutes she then offer to make me a new one. I will not be going back, United Neveria is SOMUCH tastier.

Came here for the Mangonadas but was very disappointed. The Mangonadas came with frozen mangos(first word of Mangonadas is MANGO how do you know USEFRESHMANGO’S biggest disappointment there) The sherbet was icy(freezer burn) overall pretty disappointed at what they call«quality» here

This review is based on 3 visits. After the first one, I figured maybe the cashier was having a rough day since it was hot out, and it seemed like she was short staffed. The second time I went in and was content to see that the same girl was giddy as she was she was flirting away with a tall, dark and handsome. Go on, I ain’t mad atcha. But then, after he left-that smile that could warm someone’s heart like a thousand furry kitties in the darkest of days, disappeared. Gone. Nowhere to be found. In it’s place was a dagger like glare. Um, ok. Well, «can I get a coctel de fruta, please? No pear, no apple, no fresas.» …glare, glare, glare.“can you add a little more chamoy please?” glare, glare, douses fruit in 5 cups of chamoy… glare. «5.50». I give the burdened woman her money, tell her to keep the change hoping to kill her with kindness. Whatevs… I had fruit in spicy, ulcer inducing sauwce. I get in my car, take the long way to work to relish in my treat then realize, there’s more fresas than valentines day in my cocktail. The fruit was more than ripe, passed it’s prime. To top off my experiences, today someone asked me if I wanted a coctel de fruta… I didn’t know this was from the same spot. My homie brings back my fruit and the pineapple is the part you’re not supposed to eat, the jicama is rotten, mango squishy, grapes rotten, pepinos have the consistency of jello. Yeah. I’m good.

Mangonadas on point. I like this place better than other because they have larger portions and don’t overdo the tamarind syrup with the fresh mango/mango sorbet ratio. The candy part was a little bit powdery but it’ll do

The service staff is pleasant and the restaurant very comfy. Been here a few times and the tacos are the best. Real Mexican tacos and not the fake American type. These things are the bomb!

I would have marked this one star higher just for the ambience if they hadn’t had such bad customer service. So, my son accidentally dropped his one ball of ice cream on the floor as the rest of us were getting our orders. We tell the young lady who responds – «umm we can’t give away free ice cream sorry you have to pay for another one»… Are you effen kidding me! He didn’t even get to try it to begin with, and had you filled the cone correctly the ball wouldn’t have slipped off!!! Seriously, usually places will understand when it hairs right in front if them just from holding it! Anyhow, the ice cream itself is mediocre I’ve tasted my fair share and this is nothing compared to the authentic Mexican ice cream on Fruitvale– Cinco de Mayo. Well, we came, we tried, we DISLIKED!!!

Both times I’ve been here the rude ass lady who runs the shop starts spraying and cleaning the tables and stacking the chairs up on the tables and does it in the rudest way. This past time I was here with two other people, the lady sprayed my sister with the cleaning solution and didn’t even have the decency to apologize. The best part is that they close at 9pm, but this maniac lady starts cleaning and spraying us with cleaning solution at 8:20pm! She stacks up the chairs as if to imply that they’re closed when that’s clearly not the case because it isn’t 9pm yet. Anyway, the stuff they sell here is decent(the usual mangonadas and tostilocos that are over hyped). But keep in mind they do take HELLLA long to actually give you what you order(and usually there’s like 1 or 2 people working and only 1 is taking orders), so be prepared to wait a while. I really wish I could frequent this place more, but I like being treated like a human being/valued customer, and not a piece of crap, so I’m gonna keep staying away from this place.

Had no clue this place was here after my bf pointed out tht he saw someone carrying a tray full of mangonada’s while I was picking us up some California burritos from the guadalajara restaurant. I responded«forealsss, where from!?» He had no clue, So I walk my butt down to see where this place was and as soon as I walked down ah few shops I was in mangonada heaven… :) there had sooo many customers, but the line does go fast, everyone had a mangonada in hand so I soon placed my order before I started to creep people out by just eye balling the hell outta there deliciously looking mangonada. After I got it I hurried back to the car to see if it tastes as good as it looks and it did! :) my bf was amazed on how good it was and we both agreed to coming back for more! Anddd guess what Unilocalersss!!! We DID come BACK! Shame to say the next day lol And I must say there ice cream is pretty darn yummy too! **The only thing is the customer service, there’s this female worker with braces who is not friendly, never greets, smiles, or say’s have a great day or anything! The other cashiers have been friendly, so five stars to you gal’s!!!

Mangonada –Everything I love about Mexico in a cup! Refreshing guiltless fresh mangos with mango sorbet, dash of chile, garnished with a magical stick of tamarindoOoOoooh… I’m so excited this cute dessert joint opened up next to my favorite taqueria. Usually we cross our fingers hoping the churro lady or the mango man is outside the taqueria after dinner… but yay for Neveria! I can surely count on some sugary sweet satisfaction with dessert from Neveria. They serve up mean looking crepes and sundaes. Their ice cream is house made and they have a good variety to choose from. I will definately be back to try everything on the menu. Yes, it’s one of those places you’ll find yourself coming back to, just to try everything at least once. There was a line but it moves fast. Can’t wait to come back to try their ice cream!
