Pierra Accessories At Bay Fair

I wanted to stop by to purchase my favorite hair scrunchies and they were closed! This place has been there since I was a child (20+ years or so). Had a lot of great stuff, and yes, they do follow you around the store and watch you. I mean it is by Bayfair Mall.
Anyway, if anyone knows whether they moved to a new location or if the owners see this, please update.

Yes they watch you. I witnessed why. 5 teenage girls came in and ransacked the place because the old guy behind the counter telling her they don’t allow food or drink to put her drink away or leave it at the counter. They wouldn’t leave and they hit him and giggled running out, I was outside. Please don’t judge this cute store on their surveillance. It’s called trauma, and I can’t imagine what it is like to pour your savings into a business where you are beaten for telling someone no food or drink to protect your merchandise. He said it wasn’t the first time people were rude or stole things. The guy had a 1990s flip phone when he called the police.
Support local businesses.

There are obvious reasons why they have to watch everyone. The entire store is filled with cute, little trinkets and accessories that are very easy to pocket and all the times I’ve been there, there have only been maybe 2 employees? It’s not a chain store, so I’m guessing the finances are tight. Don’t get uncomfortable if they watch you, unless you’re stealing, lol.
Anyways, I got 5 CUTE sheer panties, and 3 CUTE bras, each either 5 dollars or LESS. I’m a nude/​lingerie model and needed some inexpensive stuff fast and this place was PERFECT. Usually, when I’m in such a pinch, I’m not really picky. I was expecting to just grab whatever I could that wasn’t HORRIBLE. But to my pleasant surprise, there was a lovely selection of cute lingerie and panties! Super pleased with that.
They also have really cute flowers for your hair, clips, wigs, extensions, and a decent makeup selection. I was shocked to see they carried the brand NYX. Usually I go to Ulta or order it online. The other brands were generic or not big names. The flowers and accessories are kind of overpriced in my opinion. But I think it has to do with people stealing and them not making enough profit. :’(Which makes me soooooo sad for them since they aren’t a chain and obviously aren’t rich.

I think that the store has, regrettably, significant issues with shrinkage (i.e. shoplifting). The stuff they sell is easy to pocket and many people have taken advantage of it. It is a shame that all the customers have to pay for the crimes of a few. (I think this is why their prices have gone up.) I think this is also why they are difficult about returns.
This isn’t a big chain store, so if you are realistic when you shop here, you can find items that are unique and will totally make your costume or your look for a good price.

Every once-​in-​a-​while you can find a nice hair clip for under $ 5.
And, they do watch you like a hawk. regardless of what you look like.

I took my dog to get her annual checkup in San Lorenzo this morn. Having an hour to kill, I decided to pop in and check out the cheap makeup that I used to love when I was in high school. Stepping into the store after so many years, high school memories flooded back. Nothings’s changed in the last 10 years except the prices! Talk about inflation. The cheapy Jordana lip liners went from $.99 cents to $ 1.75. I forgot what it felt like to be watched like a hawk and followed everywhere around the store as I tried to look at items, as if i was trying to steal something. I think they’d have more sales if they stopped making customers feel like they were in a concentration camp. Jerks.

Horrible management. My cousin tried to return something that did not fit her and she was beeing super nice and the manager was being a SUPER jerk and giving her attitude, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER service!!!

I used to shop here when I went to middle and high school. This was the ultimate spot (over Claries even!) to buy cute hair accessories, keychains, and jewelry. They also have lingerie, fake designer purses, make up, etc.
However since this time, I’ve stopped shopping here. I recently went in this place when I was visiting back home just to see if things have changed and felt like a prisoner as I saw the asian workers eyeing my every move. Also alot of the product is very cheap. It seemed that the prices had also gone up dramatically. Oh well…
