Puptown

We left our pride and joy Kobe in Puptown’s capable hands for 10 days. Puptown went above and beyond what we could’ve imagined. During the initial consultation, we toured their facilities. It was spotless and large enough for our 108 lb. Kobe. Our Kobe has severe epilepsy and takes quite a few meds daily. We cannot recommend this place enough. Their customer service and how they treated our Kobe was exceptional. After our return, we spoke to one of the owners, Shasta, to review Kobe’s stay. We couldn’t be happier with Puptown! Grrr8 place! We have no reservations about leaving our dog at Puptown. When we drop her off she goes happily wagging her tail anxious to get her day started, no sad glances back at us like she didn’t want to stay. Shasta and Kathryn are great about giving us reports after each visit. We just left her there for two nights and she was a happy dog when we picked her up. This is a place we can leave our beloved pet and enjoy our vacation knowing she is getting the very best care. We highly recommend Puptown!

I was able to get a very last minute reservation for our dog to stay for one week. The facility was clean, organized, and big enough for the dogs to play.
We will definitely be bringing our dog back.

I was very disappointed as I took both my dogs here for a short boarding last month! First both our dogs came home with fleas and infections. Then we picked them up they over charged our debit card by a 1,000.00. Then they say oh it will take two or three days to credit your account and not once did they say sorry for the error and we will give you a free night as we had two dates scheduled. If your looking for a good boarding place, check out Wag Hotel as it is 100% cleaner and staff is very friendly.

They have fabulous staff! My husband was in the hospital and I needed a place at the last minute. They worked with me to get my pup in the next day. I appreciate all of the dedication the devoted. I would definitely take my pup back!!!

My husband and I, and our two rescue pups, live in Sacramento but are moving to Berkeley and need a place in the East Bay to board our dogs while we’re on vacation for a week. Shasta and Kathryn were very responsive and informative via email, and we set up a time for a meet-​and-​great quickly. The meet-​and-​greet exceeded my expectations — we met with Kathryn, and it’s clear not only that she loves what she does, but that she is excellent at it! All of her advice was in line with what other professional trainers have told me, and she was so patient with our dogs and really took her time getting to know them. Also, the facility is the cleanest and largest of its kind I have ever seen. I do wish they had outdoor space, but you can’t have it all, and believe me there is *plenty* of room inside for them to run around and they go on indoor walks around the track of the facility. They also post Facebook updates throughout the day, and I actually started following them already because who doesn’t want to see pictures of cute dogs throughout the day? We were so impressed we didn’t look at any other facilities, and have scheduled our dogs to be boarded there while we’re away. I’ll update my review when we get back from vacation, but I’m only expecting to add a star! So grateful to have found Puptown. They are a bit far for us to do daycare on a daily basis, but we will definitely board them here whenever we are out of town.

Moved to Alameda and Puptown accommodated my schedule to get my active Dixie girl in daycare fast. The place is clean, the staff wonderful and as dog trainers you know they will enforce the right rules and behavior. Hoping someday they get some outdoor space as I think this place will grow quickly.

We needed to board our year old pup for 24 days. We were so worried — first, about the length of time and then also, finding the right place where she would have fun and be lovingly cared for. Our puppy trainer highly recommended Puptown and it was definitely the right place for our puppy. She had the best time — playing, getting rest time, playing, getting some leash training and even falling in love there!
Kathryn responded to all of my anxious parent emails. The Facebook photos are wonderful, fun to watch and pretty darn cute.
I highly recommend Puptown to anyone who loves their pup and need to board or daycare their dog with folks who know about dogs and truly care.

We love Puptown, our dogs love them even more! They always come back exhausted from all the playing, and even more well-​mannered each time we pick them up. Absolutely love the time they put into basic training along with the playtime. We also love the pictures and videos they upload to their Facebook page throughout the day so we can follow along. All the staff are friendly and so great. We appreciate the feedback they give us at the end of the day (interesting stories, bad moments, new friends, etc) which puts us at ease and excited for the next time we drop them off. Can’t recommend them enough!

WOW! What can I say? Not only is the facility beautiful, but the staff is also amazing. Shasta was extremely accommodating after the dog sitter I booked cancelled without telling me. She did everything in her power to make sure I left for my trip on time. The business’s Facebook page was frequently updated and I got to see pictures and videos of my lil pup playin away :) Knowing she was so well taken care made my vacation a million times better!

I have boarded my dog with the owners of PupTown and bring her twice weekly for doggy daycare. .. and she LOVES it! All of the staff are so good with all of the dogs, and Shasta and Kathryn (the owners) are outstanding!
I think the play time, training/​practice time, walk/​run time and nap time are great for all of the dogs as they get a consistent, supervised daily «schedule».
I am so happy that we have such a stellar place to bring our «kid» while we are at work, and have all the trust in the care she receives there. I swear my dog is a much happier pup now that she gets to go to PupTown!

I am so relieved that I found Puptown. I have a high energy dog. He gets so excited to go to doggie daycare to play with the other dogs. These ladies have obviously put some money into this facility. It’s such a nice set up with lots of space. They really play with the dogs, and they keep it very clean. I must say that they have taught my dog some manners too.

I just moved and was worried I couldn’t find a daycare as good as the last one. Puptown to the rescue! This place is top notch. My dog actually seems happier since she started coming to Puptown. The owners worked hard to make sure my dog had a smooth transition, and even called the old daycare to find out how to best work with her. I really appreciated that since my dog is blind and requires extra effort. I know my dog is well taken care of while I’m at work.
The owners are also very professional and made a great first impression. The facility is clean and well thought out. I recommend this place if you are in the market for a dog daycare.

Shasta walked one of our dogs for years and because of her expertise and genuine care he had excellent manners off leash on the trails and at Pt. Isabel. Our new dog spent an afternoon at Puptown and I found it to be meticulously clean. The dogs get a neighborhood walk as well as a training walk around the indoor track to practice off leash heeling which was an added bonus. I feel so relieved leaving our pup at Puptown because I know he is in great hands.

Shasta took incredibly good care of my dog for many years. My dog is no longer with us, but her life was made so much fuller because of Shasta. She took her for exciting walks and safely boarded her when I was away. My dog and I had only positive experiences. She is a thoughtful caregiver and professional. I give Shasta and Puptown the highest possible recommendation. She will take great care of your precious pet.
