Stanley Steemer of San Leandro, CA

I have used Stanley for years. But for the last two years they have given me a four hour window and have never come! I have had to call them to get an update every time. I have switched to Coit Cleaners and the we’re very professional from the beginning and they actually give you a time that they will be there.

When roots backed up the main drain causing a rust mineral substance to stain the tile in two bathrooms and tiled shower stall. Nothing I tried including Lime Away would remove it so I setup an appointment with Stanley Steemer why not they had cleaned the same bathrooms and shower in the past. When they got here I surprised to hear that they don’t do shower stalls anymore. I was forced to find another service so Coit got the call and were able to do such a wonderful job that I will be calling them first next time as this property will be on the market soon needing lots of work.

They did such a wonderful job. Totally worth the price. They cleaned, disinfected, and protected the living room carpet and couch. The guys were polite, professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again and recommend them.

The company sent out a very nice tech that was able to get in and clean and deodorize the carpets he did a great job.

I had significant water damage in my floating home last evening. I called Stanley Steemer and they not only came out promptly but had wonderful team members who helped clean up the muck and water. John and Irvin were fantastic! So very helpful and accommodating. Made the situation much better because of their professionalism and persistence in getting the job done in the right way. Highly recommend this company.

I received a coupon in the mail for a $ 99 promotion and called to have Stanley come out and look at a grout stain. Guy on the phone confirmed the promotion and after I gave him measurements of my kitchen, quoted me the exact $ 99 price, while selling me on a special grout cover that they can use to cover up stains. The service men (2) arrived on time. Both walked in my house with wet and dirty shoes (so much so that one of the service men spent our entire visit wiping down their mess unsuccessfully). They had no idea about the promotion and said minimum fees were more than $ 99. He continued to say my job was hard and he could do it for $ 280 — quite an increase from my initial quote. When I asked him about the special grout cover he said, «Oh yea. I don’t have any of that with me today.» I sent them away, letting him know I felt like it was completely dishonest to change fees by that much once on site, not to mention lack of understanding from when I made the appt. I called to complain and was assured I’d get a call from the store manager within 24-​hours. That was 11 days ago, and I haven’t heard from him. Customer service FAIL.

Our carpet and 2 sofas look good. Yes, the price we ended up paying was double what was quoted online but that’s expected. The reason I’m giving 3 stars? They arrived at 8:15 am and left at 11. We had one room of carpet plus 2 couches. Why did it take so long I wonder? Maybe because one of the 2 guys asked to use our bathroom and was in there for 45 minutes??? We all know when you gotta go you gotta go but come on. 45 minutes is a lunch break to me. I am not exaggerating the time. I tried to go in to my bathroom and it was locked. After walking to the park and back with my toddler, I once again tried to go into my bathroom and he was still in there! His partner was doing my entire couch by himself and was obviously annoyed. Yes the job was done well, but I felt it was not professional to hide in your clients bathroom for that long.

Jon Samson and William Fernandez just left my home and I wanted to give them an excellent rating. They were very professional, courteous and worked hard to make sure I was satisfied. They did an excellent job cleaning my sectional and rug! This San Leandro location of Stanley Steemer also had good customer service and was able to get me an appt. within 48 hours, which I really appreciated. This company is awesome… contacted the San Leandro location. They were extremely professional. they made an immediate appointment moreover sold me on a affordable deal for two rooms. Sent me a follow up email with all details then sent another the day before the service…
Here is the THING — They quoted between 8 and 9am arrival… they were at my home 8am SHARP… I was impressed. I told the guy that he should work for Comcast or AT&T because

Quote — 320 for 2 bed, 1 living room, 2 closets.
Get to condo, cannot go upstairs, only do 1 bed, 1 closet and living room — charge 270.
Furthermore — carpets not actually any whiter, black spots around existing rug on carpet still there.
Skip this service, find a better partner.

WOW I am one happpppy girl!!! My carpets were a mess of stains… It looks like a new place now, makes me feel so good! They did a great job on my couch pillow cushions (showing me the comparison — 1 half dirty other clean BIG difference). The guys were also so great! Lance Baus & Danial Herrera were so polite and professional, very upbeat and kind. The worked HARD very hard! Thanks guys so much! Hopefully I can ask for you guys next time =0)))

My kitchen floors have never bwen cleaner! The color seal reallt made a great difference.
PROS: Workers were polite & accommodating. Scheduled just a cleaning & color seal for my kitchen, bathroom & laundry area. On site ended up adding cleaning of my laminate hardwood floors & the crew was very helpful evem went back to the shop to get the tools to complete this service
CONS:
After SS left i noticed that they dumped the dirty water from the cleaning down my tub which needless to say was filthy so i had to clean that up. It would have been nice if they would have asked where would be a great place to dump thw water.
When bringing in the equipment they chipped paint on my new exterior paint, luckily im still under going to house repairs that the contractor still has to do final touch up work.
My laminate flooring had speckles of paint from painting the walls in my living & dining rooms which was they main reason I added the last minute laminate floor cleaning however after the cleaning there were still painy speckles were i had to go back to my original plan and clean the floors by hand to insure to get the speckles up. Which i am still in tje process of doing.
OVERALL: I will definitely call SS again for my kitchen & Bathroom Tile & grout cleaning however ill stick to cleaning my laminate the old fashion way. :)

Stanley Steemer is super easy to use for my regular carpet cleaning. Easy to find an appointment. They call 30 minutes before technician arrives. Jonathan was professional and thorough. Very happy with my clean carpets.

I got to say how please I am with their service people, they did everything to protect my doors and corners of my house as the hose they were using worked its way thru our house. They did a great jog cleaning the group and tile and would recommend using them anytime.

Awesome crew, always good with the animals on the property, fast and great at what they do. With 3 rescue dogs in the house the carpet is hard to keep clean, these guys know exactly how to take it from needing to be ripped out to clean and fresh.

I’d never used Stanley Steemer before, despite the commercials with the catchy jingle. Called them to come clean traffic areas plus living room. Dispatch called to share that there was an available truck earlier than my appointment; was able to get underway much earlier than scheduled. Pricing was more than fair, the gentlemen were kind, efficient and my carpet looks great! Will definitely use again!

I’ve used Stanley Steamer before so I knew what to expect. My They showed up on time (as usual) and Lance and Francisco did an excellent job. They were very courteous and professional. Will use them every time. I could do commercials for them and I have been known to brag on them so much that the apartment manager came by to see for himself and he, too was impressed. Prices are great and I am quite pleased.

Called Stanley Steemer to clean leather sofas, got same day appointment. Received excellent service from Lance and Leonel. Before starting the job they offered to do a small demonstration on the sofa, to show us what we can expect from their cleaning services. If we didn’t like the cleaning results from the demo we had an option to not get the job done! We got two sofas and an area rug cleaned. Very happy with the results. They take pride in their work, not even a hint of rushing through the job or skimming over stains. Very professional in their interactions and conversations.
The online ‘WEB20’ coupon for 20% discount is for the corporate branches, i am told franchises don’t have to honor it. This particular outfit is a franchise but they honored the coupon when I asked for it. One thing to note, even though you get can get quote on the corporate website, you should call your local branch to confirm it. The website won’t ask you about furniture sizes and cleaning charges are based on linear sizes.

Horrible horrible horrible! Just got off the phone and they want to charge me 190 for one room and said I can’t get the special for two rooms for 99 dollars! That is ridiculous!

We are really pleased with the work that was done! Vekish and Dayshawn were both extremely polite, professional and hardworking. I will definitely use them for future cleanings. Thanks so much gentlemen!
