this place sucks!!! the people who work there are rude as hell and the donuts are not fresh. and the prices on the menu are not right. they over charge. there are plenty of places to go to. i would recomend anywhere but here.

I was in and out quick one morning last week, but only because no one came out from the back to help me(no one was up front), and the selection of donuts was surprisingly small. Like, very surprisingly. So, since it didn’t look like I could get a good variety of 2 dozen, and nobody came to help me, I left.

Score !!! Found the best raised glazed donut in the east Bay Area and it’s only a mile from my house !!! I have tried the donuts on several occasions including in the afternoon and they are awesome– always fresh. This indicates better ingredients. Definitely give this one a try. Oh yeah, when the little old lady is there behind the counter, it’s even better because she is a delight!!!

Ok, I admit… I wasn’t expecting much. Even after reading the reviews, I thought«how good could an apple fritter really be? Come on people.» But yeah… it’s good. Real good. So are the other donuts. Mmmmm…

I’ve driven by here a million times since I moved to San Leandro 2 years ago. Finally decide to walk down there and give it a try this morning. First off, I love their hours. I can get a donut pretty much anytime! Second the staff, the lady who helped me was really nice, I love good customer service! And finally the main– the donuts and coffee. Let me first start by saying I’m a coffee addict and know good coffee from not good coffee… For a donut shop I’m in awe! It’s delicious and HOT. The donuts literally melted in my mouth from how buttery the dough is. I loved this entire experience I will be back :))

My maple bar was just fine! The lady who helped me was so cute, she’s just shy of a million years old, hunched over, had to reach for things with tongs, and was so pleasant.

There is a lovely older asian lady who runs this shop. She was really sweet and made the trip to this shop memorable. The shop is on a busy street – and there’s a nice green, customer zone out front to park. There may have been parking in the back too, but we just parked on the street(very fast moving cars and a narrow street on the driver side, so be careful). We tried the sugar donut. We also saw there were some fresh apple fritters being fried up so we ordered one of those to get something hot and at its peak. Unfortunately, due to communication problems, we got one of the cold fritters despite specifically asking for a fresh one. :($ 2.75 for the two items – cash only, they requested we use smaller bills than our $ 20. Glad to oblige. The sugar donut was ok. I’ve had better – but it will do in a crunch. There was a long aftertaste, that we didn’t like though. The apple fritter was interesting – great pieces of fruit embedded in each bite. But one again, the aftertaste. I think it might be the oil? or some preservative? Overall, it will do if you’re hungry and the sweet lady who ran the place was memorable.

grandma is holding down the fort at sushine d-nuts. all i see are donuts here. the farmers coffee, 100% decaffeinated columbian isn’t worth mentioning. all donuts types are labeled and priced: –apple fritter(1.95) –filled donuts(1) –maple bars/twists(1) –cake(.70) eats: –crumb(.70) tasted fresher than dough yesterday. –glaze(.75) sugary, melt in your month, lots of air crumbs: –cheapest donuts in the ‘dro –the donuts in this area probably all come from the same place. –3.5 stars for cheapest, freshness.

I’ve been coming here for tha pst 5 years. I stumbled upon this place on my way to h.s. I stoped here one morning and found the best donut holes you can find around! The smell of the donuts reaches a block away. they have great customer service. I especially love that everytime I come in there the same sweet old lady greets me. She knows I’m a regular so sometimes she be hooking me up with a few extra donuts! Haha. I love this place. They have a variety of donuts and they always have them fresh.

Wow wow wow. I am not a donut lover at all but these are terrific. Only discovered this place because it’s right near daughter’s flute lesson, so when you’ve got some time to kill(I mean seriously — do you stay and listen to your kids’ music lessons? Aaaack) you start poking around the neighborhood. To be quite honest, daughter and hubby discovered it first and I didn’t pay attention, not being the donut eater. But I had driving duty this weekend and so stopped in for the requisite post-lesson donut and decided to try one myself. Sooo fresh. Ordered two lemon-filled and had to wait for the lady to go to the back and fill them. So worth the wait. And the guy was right there cookin’ up the apple fritters. That’s gotta be the way to go — if you like apple fritters — which I don’t — so I didn’t get. But I know people who do, and I’m totally buying one for them next time.

I’ve been going to this donut shop since I was a wee lad. In fact I even use to attend the elementary school next door – I always remember all these kids trying to sneak out during recess to buy donuts or go to the comic shop(that closed sometime in the 90s). The chocolate twist is my favorite donut here. The outside is always perfectly crisp and minimally greasy, the inside is light and moist and the chocolate just melts in your mouth. Unlike other donut shops, the goods here are never ‘cakey’, thick, or too sugary. Overall its very hard to explain what makes this place so great. The lady who runs this place just knows how to make donuts! Plus her consistency is amazing; literally everything looks and tastes exactly as it did over a decade ago.

Such a hole in the wall you could easily pass this place by and not think twice about it, as I have for the last 5+ years.(Right across the street from the Grocery Outlet.) Despite the appearance of the exterior, and interior for that matter, the donuts are delish! We’ve tried the glazed twists, chocolate cake, French, and a few others, and they’re all extremely fresh and tasty. They’re not overly sweet, and this place doesn’t bake more donuts than they can sell out in a morning, so you’re guaranteed freshness. Get there early because they sell out. Cash only.
