This office is a 2 woman show, there’s Dr. Yap and her assistant/receptionist. My husband and his mother have been going here for years so I decided to make Dr. Yap my primary dentist. The first time I went to see Dr. Yap, I had a 5pm appointment and I was expecting the routine x-rays and cleaning, but I only got xRays :-(. My next appointment I scheduled I was able to get cleaned, awesome right! No I had to make another appointment to get my filling fixed. Originally I requested a white filling, but Dr. Yap said that wouldn’t be enough to cover the surface, ok. While she was replacing the filling with the silver the filling cracked :-(. Now since the filling cracked she said she had to use the white filling, but there still may not be enough coverage. Once she completed the filling she said I have to come back next week to see if she needs to add to the filling. My appointment was at 4pm and I didn’t leave until almost 6 pm. Dr.Yap is really sweet and very professional!

After 2 years without any professional dental care I contacted Margaret for a cleaning and exam. My appointment was accepted on time and her work was excellent. She gave me a thorough cleaning and great advice on general care. Her gentle touch and kind insights were well received and much appreciated. Also the 75 $ rate was very fair. I look forward to my next cleaning in 6 months and will certainly recommend her to my friends.

Finding the place was easy since it is located in The Marina Faire shopping center. It does seem kinda shady of an area but I’m optimistic. Upon arriving 15 minutes early, we checked in and filled out the new patient form. The waiting area is small, dated but clean. There is a small children’s book selection, adult magazines and a toddler activity stand. Receptionist was friendly. We waited about 20 mins past our Appt time. Not too bad. Then my son was called back for X-Rays. About 15 minutes later the dentist came out and asked me to join them in the examination room. She had given him a cleaning and showed me his X-Rays and explained what was what. 1 Minor Cavity and a brief discussion on his over bite and night grinding, which lead to a possibility of braces in the future. The next step advised was better brushing and flossing on his part and see how it goes in 6 months. All in all a good visit. When we stepped back in to the waiting room they had us fill out a card for our December check-up reminder and we were on our way. We will be returning naturally. :)
