I moved to the bay area and needed a quick hair cut, my husband recommended Yola’s. He has been going to her when ever she can fit him in on her appointments. So I called her one day for a trim and she was booked, but she said for me to come in before she regularly opens her shop the next day. She said 930 and she opens regularly at 10am(I think) Anyways I was quickly seated and she washed my hair(I have A Lot) she said its easier to comb and cut. I told her I’m trying to let it grow so I only wanted a trim and more layers on top she did exactly what I asked. During the whole process she kept showing me how much she was cutting(which was fine with me) We had a good conversation going as well. Only thing is that she doesn’t style your hair. She did use hair product once everything was done Biosilk. Her prices are very affordable. I think I paid no more than $ 15. So with all this said that why I gave 4 stars. No styling but the cut and her showing me how much she was cutting was great. Will definitely be back for trims. **Bring coins for the meter** *cash for payment*

My one and only Barber! I have been to Yola’s over a dozen times now, and I plan to go every time I need a hair cut. Yola is the owner and she is very friendly to me and my wife every time we get our haircuts there. I am picky when it comes to hair cuts and so is my wife, we both searched for months and suffered from haircuts that we didn’t like until we found Yola! She gets our hair cuts exactly the way we want it, every time. The salon can get busy at times, but Yola takes appointments. Note: she is closed Sundays and Mondays, sometimes she closes early too, so make sure to give her a call first! Her number is: 510−895−2049 There are lots of shops and places to eat around the Salon, so you can check those places out while you are here.
