Love the casual garage vibe. Great music playing on the record player behind the bar. ‘Tenders were pretty fast and friendly. I’m not a huge sour beer girl but I’m slowly getting into them more. I was also excited to try their cold brew coffee but it was underwhelming to me. Sad face. There is basically no seating though so keep that in mind. We came when there was a loud private party who was taking over about ½ the floor space, so maybe my experience will be better next time. I’m partial to the original location in MB, but this one is a lot closer for when I need my sour beer fix!

Great fun hidden spot… who knew, right next to CVS downtown SLO. Fun spot, when we visited a large group was having a birthday party and playing a bean bag toss game. Really fun vibe, great unique beers and easy to stroll right in. Everything is open and facing the street so I don’t know how I’ve missed this place in the past. Sour beer spot and rotating selection lead to a fun tasting experience. If it weren’t for Luke and his fabulous Unilocal tour I don’t know if I would have found it.

BRETTALLTHETHINGS. I always enjoy when a brewery does something different. Libertine’s doin it. And it’s REALLY different. I’d liked to have spent more time exploring their entire selection. The Foncé Pants was really interesting and tasty. If you don’t like brett beers, don’t come here.

Every visit I’ve had to The Libertine has been nothing short of fantastic. With great, knowledgeable bartenders, it’s easy to find the right beer for the moment. Catelyn led me through a wonderful selection of their delicious wild ales, and then led half the tasting room on an impromptu behind-the-scenes tour of the brewery. My friends and I had a great time, and I’ll be back on every visit to SLO!

The lady tending was extremely rude. I was here drinking a few days ago with an expired ID. I went to the DMV on Friday and got my license renewed. Came in today to have a beer was turned away for having and expired id with the paper from the DMV stating that it was renewed. The lady bartending had a bad attitude. Im 29 and i can say i will never be back. If i could give this place a negative star i would!

Tried to have a quick drink at 9:52, but the bartender said she already closed up for the night even though people were still inside and technically the place is advertised as open till 10:00pm. She obviously wanted to go home and could care less if we wanted a drink, will not come back nor recommend this place.

If you like sour beers this place is legit. They make a ton of sour beers. And they have some other styles for people who aren’t into the sour beer thing. It’s also right on the water, so you get a great view from inside.

They have awesome sour beers, but more than that the service is great. Catelyn was amazing! Super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Great variety of sours with a good variety of bottles to purchase. We happened to be here on a Saturday when it was slow so it was quiet and there was plenty of seating.

This is my first experience with sours and I really enjoyed The Passion beer. When I went they had the wall open and it was a wonderful covered patio keeping any elements at bay. The staff was friendly and the bathroom was clean, which is a plus.

The milk stout here is amazing. Very low key sour beers. Not as popular as barrel house and the other brewery’s but very welcoming and homie.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend of mine. The brewery is located in Downtown SLO, so if you are hungry there’s plenty of options to eat close by(we didn’t in this particular case). The brewery is in an old warehouse. You have the entrance where you order beer, bottles and swag. You can buy tasters, or a 12 ounce pour. A cool thing was they play records. The lady in the front advised me one is welcome to bring their vinyl to play there. The drinking area is next to the entrance. It’s within the barrel room. They open the roll up door which let’s the ocean breeze in. They have a piano where you can play tunes. I purchased 4 tasters. The highlight was the Jove, which was made for Jupiter, a pub in Berkeley, for SFBW. A Gose style ale with blackberries. Overall, the beers were good and the atmosphere is chill. I would come back.

Nancy have been an awesome company. On top of the amazing flight, my husband and I enjoyed the company of really knowledgeable and enthusiastic manager. I’m so glad that we stopped by this place. So if you’re big on sour beer lover, this is the place for you. Love to support this place and damn, would love to stop by again.

Do you like sour beers? If Yes, then this is the spot for you. Sure sour beers take some time to appreciate and get into, but what’s good in life that doesn’t?(Sure…carrot cake comes to mind. but I’m talking beer here.) With a rotating selection and always something new to try you can’t go wrong. They are licensed for 8oz. pours only, so it’s all about tasting and trying. It’s still early days for this location and I know there are big plans for this place next year. I’m looking forward to trying more new beers and watching this place grow to serve more beers and people! If you are not into sour beers, this is a great place to go, to get into sour beer. The staff are really cool and knowledgable about how the beer is made, why it tastes the way it does, as well as helping those who are on the fence find something that will best match up with the flavor and feel they are going for. Don’t let the ‘sour beer or wild beer’ label throw you off, check this place out. It truly is a unique spot in SLO to drink.

Yummy and close to work in Slo. I got one close to my home in Morro bay, nice walk both places. Key locations!

Awesome Sours. Loved the Saison. Just wish there were more opportunities for purchasing bottles.
