I moved back to California two years ago from Chicago. The hardest part about a move is finding a new hair stylist, physician, and dentist. Now I still go back to Chicago for medical care, but I found a great stylist on the central coast, Kellie Lewis.
Unilocal reviews encouraged me to go to Kellie for a cut and color. But it’s Kellie’s skill that keeps me going back every month. For years I was overworking my hair with styling tools and cuts that required them. Kellie saw the slight natural wave in my hair and worked with it to provide a style that can be worn naturally or can be straightened or curled for special occasions. Letting my hair dry naturally has improved the texture and strength and given me back 30 minutes each morning.
Kellie is also great with color. She keeps my hair blonde without looking fake and works in highlights or lowlights depending on the season.
I was in for an appointment today. Kellie asked «what are we doing»? To which I responded «it’s your hair, do what you’d like». She really knows better not only for a cut that flatters, but is incredibly skilled in how to work with hair to bring out the best.
If you’re looking for someone to work with you as an individual to make your hair the best it can be, Kellie is for you.
She also is available in the evening and weekends which helps with my work schedule. And Kellie is a lovely person who is involved in her community in addition to being a professional in her craft.

I had a body wave done which is a very lengthy process. Not only did Kellie do an amazing job with the body wave, but her friendliness and hospitality made me feel relaxed and comfortable the whole time. I had a wonderful experience and will be going back!

I am a Cal Poly student. Kellie Lewis is absolutely adorable and amazing. I got my hair done today for my birthday and she took such excellent care of me. I usually go home and get my hair done with my regular stylist in the Bay area, but couldn’t make it home so I found Kellie on Unilocal and decided to go for it. Highlights, cut, and style definitely met my expectations. She is so sweet and knows what she is doing. CHECK HER OUT!

Kellie is one of the most talented and easy-​going stylists you could ever meet. It’s rare to find someone who can work the magic in both color AND cut, but Kellie delivers! Also, she’s very upfront yet tactful about what will and will not work with your hair. Seriously, she seems like a natural and makes it all look so easy, but you come away feeling oh so good about your hair! I’m glad I can make an appointment and know I’ll be satisfied :)

Kellie Lewis is a color specialist. I use to go to Aveda and will never go back! Kellie comes to the Central Coast from Las Vegas (where she still flies back to service loyal clients that can’t live without her). I love this stylist and colorist. Usually you get one or the other but this woman is a true rock star! I always get compliments when I walk out of the place from complete strangers. Kellie also was one of the first ones around San Luis Obispo that starting doing the Brazilian Blowout — keratin straightening. She knows hair and she is the fastest highlighter I have ever known (she can do foils with incredible speed). Great value for the way you will feel afterwards and not break the bank. More importantly your color will not fade fast like Aveda coloring. Highly recommend.
