We inherited my great grandmother’s sheepskin diploma from Iowa University, which she received in 1890. It was beginning to show its age and we took it to two other restorers who both said that the diploma was glued to acid paper can could not be restored. We than learned about Helen and Richard at A Frame of Art. Richard looked at the diploma and said he would have to do research but was willing to try. Bottom line, he did great research including contacting a museum in England. The diploma came out wonderful. We could not be any more pleased.
Their customer service was also great as well. They are friendly, polite, and respected what we were restoring. Great Results, Great Service — we are extremely happy campers.

The name of this business is exactly what they are. Simply put, they create art. For my Boss’s retirement, we wanted to get him something that would be one of a kind and something he could treasure.
Being that he is a life time fan of the Chicago Bears, we ended up getting him one of their jersey’s. After looking around, we ended up stumbling upon «A Frame of Art». From our initial meeting until completion, I could not be happier. The expertise of Richard and his staff is obvious once you enter their location. They asked me how I pictured the end result and then asked me to trust them. I did and I am glad.
The pride that they take in their craft is second to none and I will not hesitate to utilize them again.
Thank you guys for helping to create a memory for my boss

Took two movie One Sheets to them to frame — didn’t want to trust the big box stores with something so precious. The owners took their time with us, made great suggestions and gave us a fair price. Just got them back this weekend and they look fabulous! When you don’t want to trust something to minimum wage workers and you want it done right, bring it here. Great small business!

Excellent frame shop with attention to details.
I saw a beautiful imported Italian frame that was a good print but not for sure what to put in it. Helen suggested making it into a mirror.
