Albertacos

We were craving mexican food and were passing by. We got the Colorado burrito, carne asada taco plate, and 3 rolled tacos with guacamole. It’s like your typical Mexican food joint with a salsa bar. They didn’t have that many salsas to choose from. The red one was watered down, the green one was good and the other one was chipotle and I’m not really a fan of chipotle sauces. They didn’t have spicy carrots with jalapeños to munch on while we waited for our food so that sucked. There was some homeless chick sitting at a table across the restaurant with her blankets spread out across the seats. Pretty gross and unsanitary if you ask me. I should’ve took our food to go but I didn’t notice her until the end.
The food was okay. My friend’s burrito was probably the best of our 3 meals. The Colorado burrito is basically a Cali burrito but with chicken instead of carne asada. I liked my rolled tacos. They were pretty standard. Lots of guacamole and cheese on top. My husband’s carne asada tacos were dry but the rice and beans were good. We’ll probably come back and try some fries to go if we’re in the area again.

Great food. Had a California burrito, combination plate with 3 chicken tacos and cheese & guacamole fries. Fair prices. Very satisfied. Will definitely come back again.

Best Mexican food ever. Hole in the wall place, family owned and super cheap. Even if it was expensive I’d go there all the time.

The fries can come out in 2 ways, soft or crunchy but both are equally good (put fries in the tacos and it really adds flavor)
I don’t know why but at nigth, the tacos come out amazingly good
Well, in general the food is amazing during the nigth shift
Always comes out to $ 15 which is pretty reasonable
I always come here with my friends at nigth and they all agree that the food is great
I reccommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a quick bite

I’ve been here a couple times because I believe you should try a place more than once before you can truthfully judge it, because everyone has bad days. That being said, Food was okay, the steak was dry and the tortilla on the tacos was too soggy, the service was a thumbs down but the thing that bothered me the most was that every time I went, it was super dirty.
The doors and windows were so gross, there was trash everywhere, and the salsa bar was empty. I went at 11 so there was only like two customers. Most likely not going back.

This place was suggested to us by the locals at best buy for a great taco. We opted for the torts instead which was a great option as well. The price was very good for the amount of food you get. They also have a salsa bar were you can spice your meal up a bit if you’d like. The outside is very unassuming and pretty much in a strip mall but don’t let that steer you away.

A go to place for chicken tacos. Quick and delicious when you’re craving Mexican and can’t get to TJ LOL. Comes with arroz y frijoles… These are my go to late night. Haven’t really tried anything else.

Hands down the best Mexican food in the WORLD. Great atmosphere and amazing hot sauce.

This place is great! Open ²⁴⁄₇ too! I enjoy it because the Cali burrito comes with sour cream and guacamole! I order the carne Assad French fries, but I get the half order because it’s still a lot for $ 3 less than the normal size. The rolled tacos are great too and the shredded beef tacos are some of the best I’ve had in town. I only suggest that the salsa should change or have more flavor. A little watered down but still good. There are some items that I’ve had there that I don’t prefer and most of it is the chicken.

I’ll visit again and try something to confirm my 4 star review. Let me tell you the California burrito was excellent. Good fries, cheese onion and the meat is good. It needs a cleaning but the food is good. I’ll return

Good food but the only flaw is the beans. They need to better season their beans, they are bland. Sus frijoles siempre están desabridos, por favor mejoren el sabor de los frijoles, es el mayor ingrediente de la mayoría de sus platillos.

Their breakfast burrito is my spirit animal. It’s a hefty sized burrito that is deliciously filled with eggs, bacon, fries, ham and cheese. There’s also scrumptious tortas and the best horchata I’ve come across in San Marcos. AND it’s open 24 hours!

My partner and I went in one night around 1AM craving carne asada fries — we wanted to test out their carne asada before getting an entire order of carne asada fries so we got a carne asada taco and shared with each other. It was a good taco, a smudge on salty side for my taste, but overall a really solid taco.
We ended up getting a California Burrito instead because surprisingly the taco we has was pretty filling (even split between the two of us). The burrito was nice. I like the cilantro and onion ratio to everything else in the burrito. My only suggestion is to ask them to make your fries fresh and hot, the fries we has were very crunchy but I like that so if you prefer the fries in your california burrito a little softer, then just ask.
Overall a nice place that should have more recognition! Give them a try. It’s a good late night spot.

Carne asada fries sent me over the top. What a great combo of deliciousness only wish I could find them in SC. #15 chili’s were full of cheese and again very good. Will be back the next time I’m in town, or maybe before I leave.

If you’re looking for consistent and great quality Mexican food this place has it. This place never disappoints.
Atmosphere:
this taco shop is located in the same complex as the home depot. it’s a moderate sized place with at least 10 booths that sit 3 – 4 people (comfortably). self serve soda fountain and a salsa bar with 3 different choices of salsa (mild to hot).hot carrots available and radishes. 1 TV available with a menu clearly visible and easy to order from.

Overall:
location is right off the freeway. open late. with other taco shops raising their prices for such low quality mediocre Mexican food, Albertacos is remembered for their fast friendly service, great value, and great quality Mexican food without having to spend more than $ 7 on a burrito.

Food poisoning. I ate the Colorado burrito here and it gave me the worst food poisoning in my life. It must have been the chicken. It changed my mind about this place. I was puking and #&#*ing for 2 days. I can’t bring myself to eat here anymore.

Hands down some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I have been going here for at least 6+ years now. Their carne asada is delicious so obviously the California burrito and carne asada fries are two of my go to items. Love that they are 24 hours because over the years I have made it a mission to go here at unconventional times of the day!
They can get very busy at times so service can get slow but the staff have always been friendly :) Will continue to go here of course!

Been going to this specific taco shop for years now. Now that I live in Carlsbad, almost 6 miles away, I still make the trip (passing 4 other taco shops) to get their burritos.
I have tried several menu items, but since I don’t eat beef or pork, my normal order is a Chicken Burrito with Cheese and Guac. For around $ 6 out the door, its guaranteed to make you full. Im a big guy and can put away the food. The amount of chicken in the burrito is MUCH more that the other shops I’ve been too.
Staff is always smiling and making chit-​chat with you. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my order (and they get the order correct every time). They have a fixing bar with different salsas and radishes too. Tapatio is on hand as well.
I will be going to this specific location until the end of times!

The whole place is dirty. don’t eat here .food is not worth it. not even for a quick stop. I’m from San Diego and this filth wouldn’t be tolerated. never coming back again. burrito had old meat and tacos were soggy

I love the store! All of the staff has been very courteous. I’m not too fond of the deli department. But I love the butcher block! I have never had a bad experience and when you’re looking for something, staff is always quick to ask if you need help
